this place is fabby and i cant wait to go back, the room was basic but very clean, the staff could not have been more helpful. The pool was just magic The food is a mix between traditional home made turkish food.... to die for! and you could get burgers and great homemade chips etc.
The glasses of orange juice were freshly squeezed even when we were asking for 6 at a time it was never too much trouble...
Dalyan itself is a lovely wee town with many many fab places to eat. I highly recommend Yakamoz resturant we went there as a party of 6 it we had eaten before and chose to go back on my daughter 18th birthday, i mentioned it was her b/day by the end of the meal they had baked a fab chocolate cake complete with sparklers and a waiter to spoon feed it to my daughter! That was £80 for a stonking 3 course meal with drink for 6, we also found a pide place town centre where we could eat for £30 for 6.
A must do is the Turkish baths...... OMG how clean do you feel after that!!
I hated the beach .... but i hate all beaches and it was just far far to hot for me! Loved the boat trips but beware cover up and use loads of sun cream!

Hello,
The Doluney appartments are excellent, my husband and I had a fantastic time. This is our second time to Dalyan and we wasn't disappointed. The accomodation is approx 10 minutes walking into town at an easy pace. The family are very friendly and helpfull. The appartments are spacious with two large balconys. This is a scenic accomodation which should be appreciated by those who don't want the hustle and the bustle of nearer the town. You wont be disappointed!!! It has a large pool, with a childs pool on the side of it. We would definately return.

Just returned from 2 weeks in Dalyan. What a perfect place for a holiday - relaxing with stunning scenery. Villa Dolunay is a fab choice for a base to your stay in Dalyan. Good size rooms - beautiful views from balconies - large pool. The staff are great - very helpful and friendly. Its about a 15/20 min walk into town where you'll find loads of places to eat and the boats on river. all in all a great holiday and we'd definately return next year.

Our first visit to Turkey and during...

Our first visit to Turkey and during a heat wave, getting off the plane was like opening an oven door. The 25min journey to our apartment was a little daunting, many homes resembled building sites, but Dalyan itself is beautiful and well worth a visit.
Accommodation is basic but clean and sufficient.
Facilities were fantastic much better than we expected, the photo on the web does not do it justice. Pool times were 8am to 8pm but flexible.
Few staff, but exceptional service and very very hard working, nothing was ever too much trouble.
Restaurant menu was limited but something for everyone on it, traditional Turkish dishes, salads, meals with chips, pastas and deserts, prices were reasonable, my 12yr old rated their pancakes the best on the resort.
We will definitely be returning, we felt safe, but more importantly we felt our children were safe.
Did a number of trips, with Brilliant tours, our guide Sardia was lovely and spent time talking and playing cards with our children which gave us an opportunity for some quiet time. The mud baths were great (they won’t let you in if you are pregnant) not for the shy as the mud gets everywhere and the only showers are communal, so more of a hose down than a good scrub.
The boat trip to Iztuzu beach is a 1.5km trip through 40ft reeds and a must for those who enjoy jumping the waves.
The 12 Island tour wasn't as good as I expected but the rest of the family thoroughly enjoyed it. We opted for the sail boat which was more expensive than the bus boat, but it only carried 15 compared to the 150 of the bus boat so much more our thing, we stopped at a number of Islands to swim and snorkel in the sea, at lunch time the captain jumped aboard and cooked our meal on a bbq on the beach, it was possibly the best meal we had all week, so if nothing else go for the food.
Fethiye market was a little disappointing, not as traditional as I had hoped, absolutely huge but only a dozen or so stalls repeated over and over, all under gazebo's so take plenty of water and don’t go if you are a fainter!. Stall holders expect you to haggle I purchased a leather bag which started at 160 Turkish Lira but eventually purchased for £12.00 English pounds - (Apparently they get a better rate for £'s).
The visit to the gold factory was interesting and some amazing pieces to purchase but not cheap.
The Turkish Delight Factory was good (my hubby's favourite) and after telling the staff it was the best part of the trip we left with more freebies than purchases much to the disbelief and disappointment of others on our trip.
The Blue Lagoon was awful, not as we expected the beach was so packed you had to climb over others and a lot of people were leaving the sea as the seabed appeared to be littered with raw sewage.
The best places to eat were Lalezars by far (on the main road into Dalyan) a little pricey compared to other places but the best for service, entertainment (the waiters) and food.
Our children were made to feel so special and were taken into the kitchen to meet the chefs. Gecit was also great service and great food. You are expected to leave a tip of up to 10% of the cost of your meal but there is no pressure or assumption that you will.
