Built right on the end of the harbour 'strip' the bulk of the old town is available to you a gentle stroll away. The main one way thoroughfare is right outside, but given the hotel is built as a 'quad' round the pool, very little of the outside intrudes into the hotel.
The staff were friendly and helpful and because this was the end of the season and the hotel was getting quieter had plenty of time. (This is one of the few hotels that stays open after the end of October).
The only thing that stopped this being a perfect hotel was the slight lack of effort made by the cleaners. They probably did the work "to the book", but they seemed not to be managed and thus corners were missed; having said that many people wouldn't have noticed these lapses.
Standard walk in prices were around $90 per double room per night, but look for a deal, especially off peak or booked in advance. We paid nothing like that and it really was great value for money.
