My partner & I stayed at the Andreotis apartments last April for a week the staff Toros, Jeorge & Paula were great people, very friendly & made us very welcome.
Our 1 bedroom apartment bungalow7 was overlooking the pool with a sea view from the side, the standard of food was excellent in the complex that we ate there most days, the cleaning staff were really friendly too.
I would recommend the Andreotis to anyone thinking of holidaying at Protaras as we had a great time & would give it 10/10, we loved it so much were going back 2006 & cant wait. Protaras is a beautiful place to holiday great pubs, shops & beach & its only 5 min walk from the Andreotis. We didn’t have any problems with Thomas Cook either the reps were friendly & helpful overall it was a great holiday.

Nov 2005, Miss H Francis

I had the best time in the Andreotis apartments, weather was fantastic and wasn’t too hot. All the staff was very helpful especially Martha and Bennie at reception.
Paula, Tassos, George were great!
I would definitely come back to the Andreotis as the location was fab not that far from Ayia Napa.
The sunset reps were fab allways willing to help out with all our problems.
Kiddies rep were fantastic Karla koala and Laura lollipop!
Always smiling and making sure the kids were entertained am looking forward to see them next year!
Thomas cook airlines plane was delayed but transfer rep was very welcoming.
Already booked my holiday for next year cant wait!

Nov 2005, Mr DNS Smith

The Andreotis hotels were great, my whole family went and all of our names were remembered by the staff there, the pool area was very nice, there are a few wasps nest around but they didn’t bother us. The pool floor in one side the grout had come out and the tiles were quite sharp.
We went to a bar that was decorated as the Flintstones and we went there almost every night, the only night we didn't is when we went to a Chinese restaurant, on the main street you can't miss it. Also Fig Tree Bay is a quiet little bay that when you leave the hotel you just walk on straight and you come to it, I would advise that you get a snorkel and take a look at the wild life in the sea. a word of warning, watch out for the prize ticket people, they give you a winning ticket and take you away for 4 hours to Ayia Napa and waste your time.

Sep 2005, Ms Lee

The Andreotis Apartments were fantastic. They had everything you could ask for. Tasos, George and Paula doa great job of running the restaurant, bar and pool area, nothing was too much trouble for them, even made a point of getting to know your name and remembering it - We never had a problem getting beds at the pool area, was busy but we always managed to get 2 beds together, never found the pool getting busy until about 1030. The pool it's self was large, although be careful going in and out, could be a bit slippy, was never too busy, sometimes a few kids would be in the inflatable but never for too long, then it was quiet time again.
We stayed in Bungalow 1 which had great views of the pool with a side see view, the cleaning staff were great, especially as I don’t tidy on holiday, always coming in to shoes put away! We didn’t use the air-conditioning, instead opting to hire a fan, this was enough as we only really slept in the room and wouldn’t have the AC on at night anyway - doesn’t agree with the throat. Studio was a good size with 2 large single beds, a kitchen area, 2 cooking rings, fridge/freezer, a microwave, kettle and toaster, loads of utensils, a seating area, plus a sofa (that I suppose would pull out into a bed), a shower/wc and a large balcony, and not forgetting the 28inch TV we had, was like being at home
All the other staff were good as well always friendly and polite. Safety deposit boxes are in reception, 2 keys are needed to open them , would recommended there use - puts your mind at rest.
All in the Andreotis were great, a small skip and a jump to the main strip, with a few bars on the way and Sharkeys Dive Shack across the road - great instruction if you are thinking about it -
Only let down of this holiday and reason it doesn’t get full marks is the tour operator. Sunset reps worse than useful and Thomas Cook Airlines are a disgrace. But please go to the Andreotis, it's worth it.

Once again a fantastic holiday. We were there the same time as last year.
The staff remembered us, (receptionist & gardner). New staff downstairs - Tassos, Paula, George and the rest were great, made you feel really welcome and how can Tassos remember everyone’s name?
Excellent room, cleaning spot on - altogether a fantastic holiday.
Hope to be back soon.

Just got back today (15th August)....

Aug 2005, Mrs N McDermott

Just got back today (15th August). Andreotis Apartments were lovely, scrupulously clean (maids amazing) and staff really helpful.
Paula and her brother-in-law George were lovely, always around to get you anything you needed. It was so hot, around 42 degrees in our first week, so please make sure you drink lots of water. Air-conditioning in apartments is an absolute must.
We stayed in one of the bungalows at the back of the hotel and they were much quieter than the main building, which is on the main road. Sunbeds around the pool are a problem, but where in the world is there a hotel with enough sunbeds?
Some people were unbelievable selfish (British desperate for a tan) and even reserved sunbeds for their kids (who spent the entire day in the pool). We were surprised to find huge groups of people travelling together (8+) so they all tried to get beds together, which always proves to be difficult.
Be prepared to wake early and reserve your beds - note that to keep the bed you have to sit on it, so you’ll have to stay on it from about 7.30am! This was our only niggle.
Having said all that, the place is fantastic, perfectly placed for the quieter part of the main town (the top part, round McDonalds, is like Benidorm - nasty).
The people, the food, everything was wonderful. Will definitely be booking to go back.

I have been to Protaras many time...

Jul 2005, Leah Houghton

I have been to Protaras many time before in the past but never without my parents this was my first holiday with my boyfriend and I was worrying a lot about arriving at our hotel because I am used to paying a lot for my holiday and having very posh hotels I was worried that the standards of the hotel would not be what I was used to because we had get the holiday very cheap.
When we arrived the hotel looked very new and clean from the outside and when we got in it was lovely. The staff are really friendly and everywhere was clean and tidy.
The maids came in 3 times in the week to change the bed and give us new towels. the pool area was lovely plenty of space for all the guests so no getting up early and fighting for a sun bed. The pool bar was nice and very cheap the food was lovely and are very big portions. There is a restaurant and bar downstairs in the outside of the hotel witch have karaoke nights and Greek nights, which were very good.
The location was brilliant not in the middle of all the night life so if you did want to go to bed early you weren’t surrounded by noise it was about a 10 min walk to the main night life if that which both in the day and night was a nice walk. Close to the beach and other facilities I will definitely be back.
The hotel was brilliant just wish I could say the same about the boyfriend ha ha only joking we both had a great time. ( make sure you get the air conditioning its only cheap and you really do need it the safes available are handy as well). <b

Jun 2005, Mrs K Russell

We travelled as a group of 6 adults & 2 children with 3, one bed roomed apartments. When we first arrived I was totally mortified it looked as if we had been dropped off on a fairly busy road and from the outside it looked awful.
Once inside and I saw our apartment with a pool view and partial sea view I was quite impressed but slightly worried as to where the main strip with the shops and bars were as looking down the street outside I could only see a handful.
The apartment was a nice size and getting extra pillows was no problem and if anything went wrong with the air con etc.. they came straight away to fix it. In the hotter months you need the air con but it is only in the bedroom and fairly expensive 35cyp for 2 weeks and 10cyp deposit.
Tassos runs the restaurant and is a really nice guy you tell him your name once and he remembers it the duration of your stay. The meals are nice and the set 2 course menus are quite cheap and the breakfasts are nice 2 bacon 2 eggs sausage beans toms toast coffee & juice 2.60cyp cheaper at other places but not as nice.
The rooms are never swept properly corners in our rooms quite dirty otherwise beautiful. You need your towel on your sunloungers by 8am or you don’t stand much chance of getting one except on weds as that is swap over day for new people coming and going.
Relief the main strip is literally a 5min walk and do not walk past the first big restaurant called DIVA, go in the food is amazing no more expensive than anywhere else we tried all other places just did not compare.
Nice beach but watch the bloke who you pay for sunbeds as he sometimes comes back in an afternoon and tries to take the slip he earlier put in there and charge you again.
Go to the water lights and smoke show near McDonalds it starts at 9pm and costs 6cyp half for kids and you can eat there big buffet lots to choose from 5cyp adults 3 for kids. Really nice place went on an all day boat trip swam in the sea and had a barbecue booked through a shop really good value and cheap drinks on board.
Buy your tabs in the resort and your drink from the airport its cheaper that way you can now bring back 3200 tabs each. preferred Protaras to Ayia Napa, which is where we went the year before, Will definitely go back.

Protaras is a superb family resort,...

Jun 2005, Mr JB Guess

Protaras is a superb family resort, and the Andreotis Apartments and bungalows are excellent. Good facilities and friendly staff.
On the downside, Cyprus is getting very expensive for food and drinks etc. E.G. I paid £3 for a Smirnoff Ice and £1.68 for a cup of tea. Eating out cost much the same as in the UK.
A Word of advice - If you want to hire a car, do it when you get there from one of the numerous local car hire companies. For the first time this year I pre-booked a car from AVIS through the travel agent. NEVER AGAIN. I got a battered car, dreadful surly service and it was much, much more expensive. I’d paid £138 up front, the car was delivered 2 hours late. I was then told I should pay a further £9 per day for super CDW etc or agree to pay up to £840 excess for any damage. Compare this with £136 all in (including insurance) that I was offered locally for an equivalent car (but in much better condition).

Jul 2004, Miss G Hunt

Excellent location and brilliant staff. Stayed in Room 207 and the air conditioning were very good in our room and were much needed as it was scorching the whole two weeks. We are returning to get married next August and have booked today to stay in the Andreotis apartments again as we were so impressed last year. Would recommend to anyone. Food also very good and good prices.
