Nice hotel by the beach with decent facilities and HORRIBLE service!
After spending one week, which was OK, at the time of check out I was late by 2.5 hours and was asked by the receptionist to pay extra...I told him that it is usually customary to allow the guests an extra hour or two but he insisted. I said why I was not informed and he said this is international rule which of course I'm aware of but again it is usual to allow the guests for an hour or two.. when I said I will not pay he pointed to the door and literally said "Then get out of our hotel!"
I was shocked as this is supposed to be a 5 stars hotel for which I'm paying 200$/night!
I asked to see the manager and he said pay or I will call the police!
To cut it short I paid the 20 Euros (38.5 YTL) and the receptionist tried to cheat me on the change and steal 10 YTL!!
I called the manager again and he acknowledged the "'mistake"
Definitely never going back

It's funny as before going to the Kervansary, Lara Beach I read some indifferent reviews and I was a little worried. I suppose I can answer the slightly negative reviews like this; "If you spend £300-£450 on a 5* all inclusive mid-haul holiday, there will always be fine details you are not happy with". I can catagorically say that £ for £ this was the best value holiday I have ever been on. To criticise the small inadequacies is simply unjust unless you have been sold this holiday for £500-£700 in which case you are the mug for not shopping around !!
The rooms are lovely, spacious, air conditioned, modern and very, very clean with a nice balcony.
The food is also very good. You have the standard AI buffet which includes all of youe expected salads, cheeses, potato dishes and different hot dishes every day for breakfast, lunch & dinner. For breakfast & dinner the outside BBQ/Grill is also open and I have some of the best breakfasts I have ever had there. There are 3 A La Carte restaurants which are nicely decorated and the food is presented very well, alas we didn't enjoy as much as the outside grill, but we only went to the latin one and the far east one before we gave up - there is also a meditteranian one. In the afternoon the airy beach bar serves a nich hot & cold buffet also. We did not order room service, there is a charge !!
The bars are very nice and the lighting is alternative to say the least :-). All drinks are free (inc cocktails!) and there are always plenty of bar staff and waitresses who will do table service.
The layout of the hotel takes some getting used to. It revolves around a huge lobby some 200m long by 30 ft high and is lit only with multi-coloured flourescent lighting. The building tries to be contemparary and is vertually all made of glass...yes glass!!
The pools are nice but cold & shallow. There is one long pool for swimming, one wave pool and one pool for water slides and general dipping ! There is an outside bar here.
The facilities for kids were excellent !! We didn't have kids but the Entertainment team looked after upto 30 at a time and did all sorts of activities with them - I have never seen children looked after so well in any resort I have stayed at before.
Lots of Russians & Germans, not a bad thing as they were more friendly than the British "Chav" families.
Alas, the Entertainment Team ceased to be any use right there... they are annoying, constantly pretending they are everybodies friend, only the "Chav" families fell for this and got involved with their darts (yes darts!!) tournaments and other silly activities. It was hillarious to think of as many different ways to tell them to go away with a smile on your face - a sport in itself !!
Overall a fantastic holiday with lovely weather. For £370 each, which is what we paid for 1 week in May, it is exceptional value.

I took my two daughters aged 20 and 15, we were very pleased with our allocation on arrival. Hotel and pool modern and clean, good facilities set in beautiful surroundings.
Staff friendly and service good and most staff spoke English.
Food excellent, well cooked, and nice variety, plenty of choice for all ages. Drinks generous and plenty! Piano bar, pool bar, beach bar all nice.
Dining room bit too busy as buffet style, but waiter that served us would try to reserve a table for us!
Nice areas if you want peace and quiet, i.e. the hammocks or pier.
Not many English guests when we went, entertainment not great, but the Turkish night was fun with camel rides and Turkish dancing.
Take a dolmus bus to Antalya town, it costs next to nothing but makes a great day out. We also did the scuba dive which the hotel arranged and it was fantastic, worth the money. We got through 8 bottles of sun cream, and it is expensive to buy a good brand, so take plenty with you!

Excellent hotel, real value for money, when they say all inclusive it really is I’ve never eaten so much.
Excellent rooms, very clean. I would recommend this hotel for couples or families.
The only downfall is there are not many English people there but this is an up and coming resort. Lara itself doesn’t have that much to do so if you want a relaxing holiday this is perfect for you.
The food was excellent although I agree they don’t cater for English appetites that much but there is a wide variety.
Plenty of bars and restaurants and activities on site. Great beach very clean although the sea is a little pebbly.
Wouldn’t hesitate in going back here and I would definitely say it is 5* standard.

Gorgeous place!
Hotel is fab, really modern, and cool! Nice staff, really nice rooms with lovely sea views if you are in a normal twin/double room. Family rooms are on the road side of the hotel and are quieter as the nightclub is open air and situated right below the sea view rooms!
Not a major problem, however, when the Russians get going it can get rowdy! We still managed to sleep though.
One downfall is the food, not strictly English at all (apart from good old chips!) however you can get by and the Turkish night which is held on a Tuesday is definitely the best night of them all! Excellent food that night!
Overall, I would definitely go back to this hotel and recommend it to people from all walks of life!

Before I left, my mum 'googled' the hotel and read some horrific reviews, thankfully she kept them to herself and waited to hear my own opinion! and...
WE LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF IT!
The hotel was absolutely stunning, and always immaculate, the staff were incredibly efficient and friendly! I have read many negative reviews about the staff... which i am baffled by because during our entire stay, we were treated like Queens!! Even when we stumbled down to the beach at 6am, we were brought cushions and coffee!!! Now that is 5 star service!!
Just the two of us went, both girls, 21 and 23. I must admit, I was a bit worried about the size of the place when I looked it up, and was convinced it was going to be horrendously crowded. But it wasn't, we always found a sun lounger (even when we surfaced at 2pm after a night of copious amounts of FREE cocktails!), our drinks were constantly being topped up, food was always delicious and there was always plenty of it available, the mini bar was topped up daily! And the hotel itself, well.. most of my holiday snaps are of the hotel because I was so amazed by it!!
The resort was mainly populated by Turks, Russians, Germans and Kosovans.. but it was a refreshing break to escape the English to be honest!!
All in a all, a fantastic holiday, and my only regret is that I had only booked in for 1 week!
Booking 2 for next year!!
