just been to these apartments, they were a last minute booking and afterwards we were worried as the reviews were not good, however, the hotel is worn and dated and the lift is slow, but it was clean with a large balcony,fridge,small ovengrill,and tv which has crap... more

Not As Bad As People Make Out from A TripAdvisor Member
The hotel was more like a place to go and sleep, the room itself consists of a Living Room kitchen area with a camp bed (which was broke) Bathroom (which had massive chips in it) Bed Room (which was so hot at nights due to the non Air Con), Balcony (which was swarming with tiny ant things and all you could look at was the builders building the neihbouring hotels pool. these apartments are great. they are spacious and have a large balcony. it is less the 5 min from the square and 5 min from the beach but jst far enough frm the clubs so you don't get woken up by music.

The "muggers lane" tag is a bit old hat now. There is a proper pavement and Lighting along the road. The apartments are basic but clean enough, and in a central position. There is an expectation that you emplty your own bins and clean your room yourself like many private aparthotels nowadays. But towels were changed 4 times in 2 weeks and the bedding was changed at least once. the day staff and night porter are very helpful.

I stayed at these appartments in september 2004, i was told of 1 mugging of a 18 yr old girl in the alley, i was very scared to walk up and down this alley, and it effected the nite life of many people staying there, as you didnt want to run the risk of getting mugged on the way home. The rooms were very basic, no kettle, and a 2 ring hob which you had to boil water on, and cook food, the micro-oven/ grill was very slow, and hard to control, no maid service was visable to me, and the hotel reception staff didn't attend the same charm school... more

when we first got dropped off the top of the path leading to these apartments i thought what on earth have we done here it was a bit scary looking at 3 in the morning,but we got inside to be met a surly porter who was only interested in taking 40 quid of us and then handed us a key,on enetering the apartments the heat and smell would have knocked you down lack of air condidtioning was a real problem,on further inspection the room was clean enough very basic though,the beds are awful i spent most of the time sleeping on the balcony on a chair... more

Had some trepidation initially, due to other reports ie 'Muggers Alley', 'Burnt out cars' etc, but we found no problems what so ever. Appartments are in great location, close to beach, night life etc. The only thing we found was that maid service seemed to be non - existant & towels only changed twice in a fortnight. Benidorm itself is great and appeals to all ages.

Apartments were clean when we arrived but the place was only ever mopped out every three days the toilet was never cleaned or the sink in the bathroom the place was very noisey there was always rubbish in the lifts and there was no were to have a shower if you where leaving late at night to go home we asked if we could keep our room on till tea time so that we could have a shower before we went home and we were told that they were fully booked so no but we knew there were three empty rooms as there had been people asked to leave one week... more

This is our five year of going to benidorm and it is brillant. I am disabled and each year i go to primavera dos with my husband, and my twins (aged 15). We love benidorm because their is something for everyone. At night Sandra's bar, is brillant because they move the chairs so my family and I, can get in. The acts are excellant in sandras and the staff are really friendly. The accomidation is brillant except the alley outside the hotel, although i would never let any of my family walk up their themselved. Brillant holiday and lovely people.

my wife and i, went to the primavera dos on 5th may. after a week she had her bag snatched, 3 steps from the entrance to the hotel. my wife and i are both disabled, so we did not have much of a chance. as with all things, people dont want to talk about being robbed , unless they have been robbed themselves. another gentleman who was put on the first floor, was robbed while they were asleep, balcony door lock not working, this is not hearsay, he took me outside and showed me where they got in, i can only describe it as an invitation, stepping... more
