Excellent. We have just returned from a two week stay at thr Amphitriti Hotel in Pefkos and I can tell you it was the most welcoming place we have ever stayed in.
We have a two year old daughter who was absolutely adored by the Greek owners and staff from the hotel.
The rooms are very clean and the maids come in every day (except Sunday), our room had both a bath and a shower and along with a fridge(as we were staying B&B). If you decide to stay B&B the continental breakfast is just enough, plenty to choose from and with plenty of walking or swimming keeps you full until lunch time. Food costs are slightly higher in the bar but all very well cooked just the same. The pool is big enough, however if you decide to go down to the beach they charge 8euro per bed! we didn't, we decided to walk the opposite way and go down to Thomas Beach this is a nice walk and didn't seem to get to busy down there either.
The walk from the hotel to the bars and restaraunts takes about 10mins but well worth it especially if you have children. We found a couple of places that were very accomodating, especially with small play areas for kids. If you walk out of the hotel and head for the shops and restaurants, you can either turn right of left at the hill. Immediately to the left is the 'Jasmine Bar' (ok) for a drink, a little further along is 'Harmony' carry on to the end of the road and on the right is 'Hellaz' here you will find nice food too. Intead of turning left you turn right at the top of the hill past 'Enigma' the 'Angel' bar is on your left run by Zaphi and Agga v.good place for a drink or two and people watching, just opposite is a place called 'Smile' they do a 3 course set menu for about 8euro (same price as bed on the beach for the day)
If you carry on past this we would well recommend you keep walking up the hill to a small restaurant on the left named 'Anixus' the food here is absolutely fantastic and if you get there at the right time you can watch the sun setting (whether you have kids or not) and the prices are very good. If you can take a trip into Rhodes old town its really very nice, the new town just looks like evry other shopping centre in the world!
In all we would highly recommend the Amphitriti Hotel and are already making plans to return next year.

My Family and I stayed at Amphitriti for the first two weeks of August 2009. The apartments are what you'd expect for Greece, basic but clean and comfortable, there are fridges, kettles, and adequate furniture provided, air con comes at a reasonable extra cost. The pool area was great and the pool bar was really reasonably priced and provided really good quality meals and snacks, Loukas, Steve, Kate, Eric and everyone else there were fantastic and couldn't do enough for you. The Greek barbecue night was fantastic, the food and the entertainment were second to none I have been to previously and it was reasonably priced.
The beach is only around 100 Metres away and is also stunning, very clean and well maintained, it does get EXTREMELY hot in August though, be warned! Watching people trying to be cool as they walked barefoot onto the sand and seeing how long it took for them to run frantically to put thier feet into the sea became my new game for the fortnight!
Local shops, as always, are well stocked, if you like local produce you will find it cheap and fresh, if you have to have Heinz baked beans you may find them pricey but then everything like that has to be imported.
There is a cracking variety of local bars and restraunts, they're far enough away that you can't really hear them and close enough that it's not a chore to walk to them, Lamb Shank from Greek House is a must for lovers of meat! The bakery does amazing cakes and is WELL worth the walk up the hill.
Pefkos was very clean, the people were very friendly and helpful and there was no pressure from people outside restraunts or bars (a pet hate of mine). Lindos is very close by and there are a lot of attractions on the island to keep the children busy, the Acropolis at Lindos, Butterfly Valley, the waterpark in Faliraki and the AMAZING glass bottomed boat trip from Pefkos with the highly entertaining Captain Jeannott which is well worth the trip.
We liked it so much we're going back this year as do a lot of people we met there!

Worst place we've ever stayed in - stiff and smelly bedding and towels. Despite being well used to basic accommodation in Greek Islands can only describe this as greasy - greasy shower, greasy floor, greasy pool, greasy utensils/ crockery. Just made you feel eeewww. Also worst atmosphere ever encountered from staff - if you do not buy form pool bar snack bar you feel terrible. Honestly never experienced such frost on a sunny greek holiday. In my humble ( but very experienced opinion just one to avoid - there's loads of excellent accommodation in Pefkos and Pefkos is great place for a relaxing but fun holiday. Has loads of above average restaurants and nice atmos.

My husband and I just back from 7 days in pefkos. Hotel very well situated for main strip and beach. Rooms basic but all you need - clean. Lovely beach although if hiring a car some beautiful bays worth visiting between pefkos and faliraki. Car hire (marathon cars on main strip) very obliging and 50 euros for three days! Many good tavernas to eat. Only downside - we were there last week of their season and by end of week places start closing! If going back would definately go a bit earlier!!
A lovely place in a nice location and although hotel smaller than many better situated!.

My wife and I went stayed in the Amphitriti for 7 nights, very clean, good sized pool and not too cold like some pools can be. 5 mins walk to main street where all the bars and tavernas are. Rooms are basic, but clean with a balcony, A/C is extra but not needed in October. Staff were very friendly and would pick you up and take you back to the coach drop off point up the road. Situated 5 mins walk from a good beach. All in all a top place to go for a quiet, relaxing break.

My husband and I stayed in a self catering studio here. We found the apartment to be clean but basic. The cleaner was in every day except Sunday. The studios and two bedroom apts. are on the ground floor and although there were people passing to go to the pool, as we sat on our veranda, we found this a good way of getting to know other guests.
The pool/bar area in very pleasant and the meals at the bar are very good. They serve breakfast lunch and dinners. Although, up the street there are a number of very good restaurants that are a bit cheaper. We liked the Chinese resteraunt on the roof terrace that has a wonderful view. They also serve very tasty traditional Greek meals as well as Chinese food. Also, Mere Metos is a very nice place too. Great homemade Pizzas.
The position of the apartments is ideal. Two minutes to the beach in one direction, where in costs 8 euros for sunbeds. In the other direction is the main street, which is a three minute walk. There are also 2 good supermarkets on the way.
Only critisism we have is that because of the heat in Rhodes, we found it very necessary to hire the air con. which cost us 115 euros for our 2 week stay. So add that onto your holiday budget. Also, beware of the mosquitos.
Overall, very good holiday and would recommend these apartments to anyone.

Just back from the Amphitriti hotel for the 2nd year in a row and the hotel and staff still excellent as before.
They even recognised us from last year which was nice and the bars and restaurants we frequented the year before all welcomed you back.
The hotel is spotless and even the hotel rooms have a fridge which is a blessing. There are always plenty sunbeds too.
Hotel is only 2 minutes to the beach. Would definitely recommend this hotel and the resort.

The hotel was lovely and very clean. The rooms were well provided for in terms of towels and a maid service.
The only negative about this hotel is that the our studio was a bit basic and quite small therefore there was no way we could have prepared a proper meal.
Having said that in the resort of Pefkos there are so many restaurants that are excellent value for money there is no need to cook in your apartment!
The apartment is located at the bottom of the resort and is a five minute walk down a very dark (at night) and secluded path. The resort of Pefkos is quite family orientated therefore if you are looking for nightlife then head to neighbouring Lindos which is only 6 Euro in a taxi.
My two friends and I went almost every night and rarely came home before sunrise! It is brilliant!
My recommendations would be the Amphitheatre nightclub on a Friday and Saturday night which is located on a hill above Lindos, however you can get a free taxi up there from Lindos square.
For the rest of the nights then there are two clubs in Lindos which I would recommend; Cupi and Arches both sound are proofed therefore they can be hard to find, but both provide a good night out! None of the clubs in Lindos get going before 2am and go on to sunrise!
I would recommend Pefkos to families, couples, and groups of friends as you can relax during the day then head to Lindos for a lively night out!

Looking forward to reterning to Amphitriti Hotel in 2 weeks time. Stayed there in June 04 and June 05. Decided to try somewhere different last year but didn’t enjoy it as much as Amphitriti.
Can’t wait to go back and see Kate, Eric and family, who make you feel so welcome and look after you so well.
Our accommodation is always lovely and the hotel is in a fabulous location for the beach and the centre of town.
Would defiantly recommend Flyers Bar, just off the beach for an escape from the sun and lovely Greek salad!
Pefkos, here we come and will no doubt return again and again!

Great hotel in great location. The place is spotless.
The people are so friendly and not just the locals but the tourists are too and most seem to return year after year, which says something in itself.
Never has one bad meal the whole fortnight in the resort. Recommend Nolstagia restaurant and the Wild West Bar.
We enjoyed ourselves so much this will be the first time we are returning to any hotel/resort 2 years in a row and are looking forward to returning in June.

The hotel we stayed at is in the South of Rhodes Island. It has the most spectacular beaches and scenery.
The hotel is run by a small family that make you feel very welcomed and at ease.
The Thomson rep was brilliant - she gave us information on places to eat and were to go and explore and discover the true Rhodes.
This is a beautiful place and I would recommend it to families and couples alike, suitable for all ages.

A thoroughly recommended stay.
Myself and a friend stayed here for 1 week during peak season. The Hotel although a little walk from the main street and tavernas is very clean, welcoming and comfortable.
The pool is a wonderful addition to the hotel and the pool bar is moderately priced and provides good value food. If you are looking for a more substantial meal, the main street is only a 5 minute walk.
The beech is a short walk away and for a few euros you can hop onto a glass bottomed boat round to the beautiful Lindos.
Without a doubt, I would return to this hotel in the future. A big thumbs up :)
