I've run/flee from Bodrum/Turkey because of bad conditions and I arrive in Kos(never heard/think of this island). By hazzard we find Ionikos hotela and remain there for another 10 days.
Very nice stay, the hotel is run by a very nice and warm family who know to be real host and friends too. The food was a-la-carte, very nice cooked and served by Crissoula, a special member of this family who own and run this hotel. The care for room, pool and everything makes an unforgetable holiday in a remoted place of Europe.

My partner and I booked last minute and were looking for a quietish place on the beach in which to enjoy peace after having a hectic holiday the week before with the children.
We thought the hotel we chose was perfect for our needs and we pleasantly suprised at the breath-taking views from our veranda.
We found the owners and staff to be the friendliest people and always willing to help, especially the ladies who cleaned our rooms, they were fun and easy to get on with despite the language barrier.
The food, although very basic, was very good.
The hotel itself was cleaned all day by the staff and was scrupulously clean. The sheets were changed everyday and the air con was good. (although i didnt feel we should have had to pay for air con daily)
The pool was brill and inviting and the food and drink at the pool bar was more than acceptable, especailly the owners mother who made the best greek salad and dips.
We are planning to come again to the same hotel and bring all our children next year as we feel that this would be a great holiday for them.
We also enjoyed the taverna across the way from the hotel called Savvas, it was friendly and very wecoming and the food was awesome. We ate there a few times, always with a good and friendly welcome.
Kefalos itself was the most beautiful place ive been to and we swam over to the island, which is a must. We seen a wedding take place in the little church on the isalnd. (just like mama mia)
The people in the supermarket at the top of the road were exceptionally friendly and always obliging, opening hours were the crack of dawn til 1am everyday.
All in all, we fell in love all over again and look forward to going again next year.

My wife and I stayed at the Ionikos Hotel for a week and found it to be a very clean, well appointed family run hotel.
The room was cleaned every day with fresh linen half way through our stay. The pool and public areas were attractive and well maintained. All of the staff were friendly and helpful.
Special mention has to be made of the helpfulness of John and Chrisi, the son and daughter-in-law of the owners. Nothing was too much trouble for them to organise and they ensured that my wife's special diet requirements were fulfilled with the minimum of fuss.
The food was varied and the chef very flexible.
It is in a quiet position just behind its own stretch of beach with beds & umbrellas. Other bars etc were within easy walking distance
You would be very lucky to find a better hotel in its class in the area.
