If like me you interested in the history of Northern Ireland, might I suggest a short break in Derry.
We spent 4 nights at the Abbey guest house, the owners, Seamus and his wife Helen were brilliant with us.
The Abbey is situated right in the middle of the Bogside area, that’s where all the murals are, the city walls, from where the apprentice boys closed the gates on King James.
We caught a bus to Belfast for £4 return, and we also went to see the Giants Causeway.
