excellent holiday for the cost

Feb 2012, boaty

location right on beach though it was\not fine sand, need shoes to walk any distance . swim up room ine but pool to cold to use. Mattress very hard, but they did put a topper on it.Food could not be faulted and i have a husband who is very choosey about the quality and he gave it top marks. Main restaurent is alittle canteen like but other than that could not fault it. Staff great ,nothing to much trouble, please remember to leave alittle tip for them their is a box in the dining room, also your room boy ,they earn so little. All in all well worth the money.

excellent hotel but not for kids if you like to venture out.

Fantastic hotel, staff really friendly, only couple of points, first, avoid the beer, taste ok, but not alcoholic at all, go for cocktails instead. secondly, do no venture out of holiday village with blond hair children, locals always wanting to stroke their hair and wont leave you alone. which can get very intimidating. stay in village, everything you need there.

Well what can I say? This was our fifth visit to the Coral Seal Holiday Village in four years – so I think that speaks for itself! Absolutely fantastic time. As usual the service from all the staff here was second to none, from the Management Team to the gardeners, nothing is ever too much trouble for them to ensure that your holiday is a memorable one. I read with interest a recent review which commented on the “coveted gold wristband” and I would stress that no matter whether you are a returning guest or a first time guest, everyone is treated exactly the same, with courtesy and kindness by all the staff at the Holiday Village. A “please” or “thank you” goes a long way here and it is only a pity that some of our fellow Brits don’t even have these words in their vocabulary. Manners and respect don’t cost anything! Yes, we do tip accordingly, but we feel that they deserve our thanks and gratitude for all their help and hard work.
Although this is very much a family-orientated resort it still makes for a fantastic experience for adults travelling without children. If you want to join in all the activities then just do it! If however you want a more relaxing holiday then there are areas and facilities for you just to do that – adult only breakfast in the Med restaurant is a must, adult only entertainment in the View Bar and if you time your meals carefully you can have a most pleasurable and relaxing dining experience in the main restaurant, i.e. after 1.00 p.m. and after 8.30 p.m. Some reviews report that the food is bland – if you want to eat chips and pizza for two weeks, then yes I suppose you would get bored! Try something new – if you don’t like it then try something else. The choice of dishes are excellent and they make the best soups ever and cakes to die for! Wael our drinks waiter in the main restaurant did an excellent job in looking after us – I don’t know how he manages to remember everyone’s drinks but he does! The Bamboo and Med restaurants are both very good and with waiter service this makes for a relaxing change. Again the dishes available in the a la carte restaurants make you spoiled for choice.
The beach may not to everyone’s taste as the sand there is very gritty, but you must remember that this is where the mountains and desert meet the coral reef, so you won’t get soft white sand for making sandcastles. However, get down there to see the sunrise and you will experience a fantastic sight. The sea is so warm and clear it’s amazing.
Swim-up rooms are fantastic and again give you the chance to relax a little more than down at the main pool. Plug-in mosquito machines are a must, just like any other hot country mozzies can be a bit of a nuisance! Fahim has got to be the best cleaner ever – he was so funny and so incredibly good at his job – does fantastic towel art! Peter from the Quiet Pool bar would always ensure that you were never without a drink and was an absolute sweetheart! We met some great people and hopefully we will be sharing some more experiences with them next year – yes Mandy, Rich, Gerry and Andy, we mean you – same time, same place!
This is a fantastic hotel and I for one really don’t want to go anywhere else as this is my idea of a perfect holiday. I must however say a very big thank you to Ramy Saied who always ensures that we have a fantastic holiday – he really is one in a million.
So to all the staff and the Coral Sea Holiday Village a very big thank you for making our holiday as wonderful as ever and here’s looking forward to our next visit in September 2012.

Returned from the holiday village on 30th August. What can i say it was a fab place, spotless, friendly, food superb always a wide selection. Yes chips everyday but there was always an alternative.
The whole village was so spacious and the staff were always so friendly any time of the day.
The 'Code Brown' in the pools were the only let down as the pool had to close for 2-3 hours twice when we were their due to this. It was soon sorted though once a letter was sent round saying however is doing it would be fined! Also they bought is some bodygaurds to keep an eye out for the people who were doing the 'Code Browns'.
Will look into going back and would recommend it to everyone.

i would recommend this place to anyone the staff cant do enough for you whatever you want they will bend over backwards to sort it out for you i am already saving to go again next year

  • Advice: be careful when shopping around the area they like to con you, book any tours at the resort rather than through first choice as its a lot cheaper locally

second time visiting this hotel, even better then our first trip, lovely friendly people, hotel clean, well looked after if you give the waiters a small tip, can pay in english, tip with pound coins, lots of freebies as second visit, indian chiense and mediterranean resturants were excellent and all included, have to book 2 days in advance to get a space thou, no faults about the place, ideal for any age, lots to do, activities through out the day, just a english hotel, so everyone speaks english. will go back again next year, as we made friends with the bar staff, great laugh, lovely weather, lovely food,

We stayed at the hotel in february, all the staff; reception, bar and resturant staff are so friendly and so helpful... they work so hard and nothing is too much trouble for them. Food is nice and plenty of choice for children too. Hotel itself is clean and our cleaner like the rest of the staff was lovely too. we went all inclusive and the free alacarte tickets are def worth taking advantage of, the med resturant beef fillet was absolute fab!!! Although I cant eat hardly anything myself due to digestive illness everything i nibbled at was lovely, the vanilla and choc icecream became a daily thing for my dad and my daughter.. beautiful!!! Although its not too close to nama bay theres no reason to leave the complex... the sea is fantastic and worth a few dips with the jetty a lovely walk too.
The entertainment staff were brilliant real talented and kids club staff were great with the children (although we didnt use this? it was clear all kids loved the staff and the club itself. 2nd trip to egypt and like the first the egyptians are so helpful and kind people.. love egypt

I went here with 13 member of my family and it was fantastic! We had a delay on the way out but when we arrivved at the hotel the staff couldnt help enough and even kept the restaurant open later so we could all eat!
The hotel is very clean and you always see the men going around cleaning. the surroundings are lovely too. tempreture in feb was about 26 which was just right!
we had a room about 2 mins walk from the buffet restaurant and it was lovely. Clean towels and fresh linen every day but make sure you put the towels on the floor in the bathroom. mini bar was expencive but there is a shop round the corner from the rep base which sells chocolate and crips :) be aware the ghd straighteners are not real. I looked up the holigram code on the ghd website. This was a brilliant holiday and i would def go again. I would advise putting your towels down by the pool around 8am as it does get really busy! the kids reps seem very helpful and happy. When we went to the beach i went on a camel. the man that walks around the main beach is lovely. Avoid the man that is to the left of the beach as he isnt that nice! tried ripping us off! sand is a bit gritty but nothing major!evening entertainment was average nothing to bad but kids club looked great. dont play bingo as it only lasts 15 mins after spending £10!overall the food was lovely. i had a different thing every day including a roast dinner on sunday!! the pizza in the afternoons is lovely this is by the main pool. I would defenately return to this hotel very soon! one more thing eat before you leave for the airport! sharm airport is sooooo expencive!!

This was our first time in Egypt and i picked Hoilday Village because of the good reviews i read. The place was just Brillant especially if you have kids of all ages, the reps cant do enough to entertain them also having the kids club which has 3 sessions a day to keep them busy. My son aged 4 just loved it couldnt wait to go back every day.
The apartments were kept spotlessly clean every day and the rooms were huge with a super kingsize bed in room. The meals were also really good they catered for all even kids. The staff couldnt do enough for you at all times.
The night entertainment was mainly for kids but they did have something ever night which keep them entertained.
We went into Namma Bay which is a bout 30 mins in taxi always make sure you set a price before you get into one and only pay them on the your return. It was ok for a once visit if you like shopping then go there it has loads of shops and pubs and clubs.
Overall we had a great holiday and can wait to return in dec/jan again to get the brillant weather.
