We went to Red Sea Holiday village end of July our room was upgraded at no extra cost. Food good somthing for every body. We went as a party of 4 2 adults 2 children 13 and 15, not much to do in the evening. Entertainment was poor for any one over 5. The staff are very helpful and frendly (sometimes its embassing to be english as some pepole can be so rude to the staff). We had no upset stomachs etc if some people ate less iam sure there would be less illness. Aquarius on the beach is the place to book all diving trips and boat trips the people are very helpful and friendly and you will have a great time.
Been back 1 week and have booked for next year.

We had booked this on recommendations of staff at a branch who had all been and raved about it. We arrived and found our room small, with two small put me up beds for the kids - not what we expected for £4K.
We upgraded at extra cost (£22 a night) and managed to get a swim up room, which also had put me up beds for the kids, but allowed us to have a better time - we could wake up and go out sunbathing with the kids still safe in bed and only be 10 feet away - we didn't bother going to the other pools after we got this as the swim up rooms pool is private.
I agree with other reveiwss about problems with sunbed availability at the other pools- v difficult.
Staff all spoke good english and we found were always polite, friendly and helpful
Food got boring as was much the same every day, although we loved Sari (the indian)because it was a change - the med and chinese were rubbish.
Mini bar was not free, and we spent about £50 on this. Kids liked the evening kids show, but it was v hot in the amphitheatre, but there is a free bar 10 feet away.
Don't bother with the red sea snorkeling trip - we spent more time ensuring that our 7 and 9 year old's were not swept away with the current than with the snorkeling and you can see foot long puffer fish off of the jetty off of the beach!
Did the Cairo trip to see the pyramids - flew as it was a 45 min flight instead of 7 hour road trip, but was still a 16 hour day, but pyramids and museum were amazing to see in person - shame that there is a KFC 100m away ! If you do this trip you have lunch at TGI Friday on the nile - i recommend you pay extra and eat off the menu, as we had a choice or grilled or fried chicken, which left both kids sick that night

Were do i start? The Hotel is amazing but poorly built, the food is ok but repeats itself over and over again the beer is ok locall spirts are all horrid and taste the same!My daughter had a ball the entertaiment team are fantastic and do a fantastic job ,This holiday is defo butlins in 100 degree hheat,The pools are ok but were always colsed due to people having accidents in them heard a lot of people being sick DO NOT EAT THE FISH,Outside the hotel there is x2 bars x2 drinks £10 Egypt is very expensive for stuff like crisps, sweets etc... You get hassled the minute you set foot outside the hotel the haggling is unbelievable just pay a third of what they say just pay what you think things are worth Overall this holiday is for people who want to sit around the pool all day eat drink and no spend a penny you could go with no money and have a good time the sea is amazing but i like to go and explore and there is nowhere to go just souvenier shops it really could be anywhere personally i don't think its worth the flight time but if you are going with children they will hve a ball and as the saying goes if there happy so are you P>S tip everyone and you get waited on and your pool beds saved everyday we spent over £100 on tips the best money we spent all holiday

hotel - position, staff & beach ecxellent. accomodation jnr suite(would recommend) block 4 perfect, fab views & centrally located. rooms very big clean and lots of little extras, hair dryer fridge tea/coffee facillities. massive bed & sofa bed.
Food - plenty of choice each day but is repeated every 4/5 days. best to eat early breakfast & lunch but late evenings as avoids busy times.
beach - uncrowded, breezy & beautiful but swimming shoes are advised as sand is very gritty and there is quite alot of rocks. depends on tide how far out you can walk but you can usually walk out as far as the drop and it is no deeper than 4ft. take water camera and bread as this is the best way to attract fish for fantastic pictures.
pool - did not spend much time here as it was very hot and there were quite a few unpleasant accidents in the main one. Also gets very busy overcrowded and noisy.
kids clubs - great if you are under 12 but not much for older kids. it is best if they make friends with other teenagers and do their own thing or the most exciting thing they will do of an evening is play cards, so dont forget a pack.
I would recommend this hotel if you want to relax for a spell or if you have young kids as the clubs are brilliant for them from morn until night. 18+ are able to go out of an evening into the town and find plenty of pubs/clubs entertainment & shopping
it is also best to pay for most things in english because it costs more to pay in egyptian

We have just got back from the Holiday Village and although the place itself was lovely, for us and our 12 year old son it was not suitable he was bored stiff.
The sea is great and we spent most of our time on the beach because the hotel is just manic with screaming kids from 9am til 12pm. The food is ok but is the same thing everyday chicken pasta & chips.
Around the pool is filthy and I didnt see anyone clean or move the sunbeds in the two weeks I was there, and 10 out of 14 days kids where poohing in the pool which then had to be closed for a couple of hours. Fair play for trying but the reps cant sing and it was painful to listen to them everynight, singing the same old songs every night. Sorry but I wouldnt recommend it to anyone with kids over 10 years old. All inc lusive was a joke as after two days we were all off our food and couldnt drink as we all had bad tummys.

This is the second time we have been and have already booked for next year. The rooms are the biggest i have ever seen, we had a swim up room and would definately recommend this as the pool was closed a couple of times because of accidents which are no fault of the hotel it is caused by parents allowing children who are not out of nappies to go in the pool without them on. My son who is 9 absolutely loved the Football club and night time entertainment. There were 5 of us there and no one got a dodgy stomach the food was great. Some people just want something to moan about which is unfair when this hotel and the staff are great.

we have just come back 25th july could not fault it,a few of us had bad tummys .but you get over it.The locals can be a pain when you want to look in the shops. They could do with a bit of entertainment for adults.I would like too no if the dog on the beach had her puppies? We enjoyed it and have just booked for next year.

My wife, two kids 3+5,and I have just returned from the Red Sea Holiday village and I would say that it was just ok.We have been on various holidays as a family and I have to say that for nearly £4000 I have had better times elsewhere.
Kids activities-The kids had a good time with learning to swim and the kids club. The staff who watch the kids do a fantastic job and deserve a good mention.
Eating-The main dining room is free for all, nobody seems to know what a queue is,kids are running round daft, and by the time you eventually get your pizza/pasta the rest of the family have finished theirs and they are away to wrestle their way in to try and get dessert. To be fair though, the food isn't terrible. Its just the hassle that goes with it.
Sunbeds-Oh where do I start? What a joke.I was up at 6am every morning trying to get sunbeds for my family that had some shade, after all I want my 3 and 5 year olds to have some protection. There wasn't a soul to be seen yet every bed had towels on them.Nobody is telling me that everyone was up before 6am putting their towels down.I think all the towel guys must drive Lamborghinis with the amount of backhanders they are getting from people to put towels down for them.THIS REALLY HAS TO STOP.
Rooms-Our room was great(block 6)and Mahmoud kept it spotless.
Entertainment-Staff do their best I suppose, but 14 nights sitting in a Amphitheatre isn't our way of having fun(even the kids were getting bored)
We would have gone out of the hotel more if it wasn't for shop owners etc pestering us and wanting to take photos of the kids and touching their hair etc, that obviously was a bit scary for us and the kids.
All in all the kids had a decent time, which is half the battle for parents. The hotel and it's grounds are magnificently looked after, and the staff are both courteous and helpful.
But for £4000 I think we will be going back to the land of the free(and Mickey Mouse)

Kids club great, Food rubbish, staff rubbish, complete lack of sunbeds, disgustingly filthy pool, vomiting issues, full of chav's and to top it all fights around the skanky pool. Weather was here wish we weren't.

We went on holiday with our 7 year old grandson, hotel was great... staff all friendly and work to ensure that all your needs are catered for. Special thanks to Mahoud..
Food was good. Italian and Chinese restaurants fantastic and cater for children. Indian not so good for kids.
We had a swim up room amazing.. Hotel also had quiet pool.. again fantastic. 1st choice staff are amazing, great fun for kids and adults.
Our grandson went for swimming lessons with 1st Choice, Nikki and Hollie did an amazing job with the all the kids, our wee fella was full of confidence after 5 lessons.
All in all this was a great holiday.... and we would go back.
One word sums up this hotel fantastic
