Booked 2 weeks all inclusive at the red sea holiday village sharm el sheik for myself, husband and our 2 children (3 years/15 months), and could not have had a better time!
From start to finish staff were friendly, the resort was clean and well kept, food was excellent.
We booked a room with kids den, and were delighted with the room. It was huge, with a massive balcony, great wardrobe space (although very few hangers - but isn't that always the way!?), a big bathroom, and because we had a kids den we also got a bath. The room was kept very clean, although the kids den could have done with a lick of paint!
Our children didn't spend much time at the kids clubs (although we did use the stay and play), but the children that did use it had a great time. We often saw them marching round the grounds dressed as pirates/knights/eco warriors/wizards etc. There were regular quizzes and games going on throughout the day (no pressure to join in), and quite often first choice staff offering gto take children to play a game of some sort on nearby grass - all within view!
The food was lovely, and it was great to see hand sanitizers outside all the restaurants. No dodgy tummies for us! Yes the food was repeated on a weekly basis, but i defy anyone not to find something they liked! And it's true what the reviews say about the pizzas - they are the best! Make sure you take advantage of the a la carte restaurants too, included in the all inclusive and its nice to get waiter service!
The beach was lovely shallow and warm, plenty of sunloungers but not crowded, and the pirate ship on the beach was great. Make sure you do the high ropes!
All in i couldn't fault the holiday and can't wait to go again.

This is my third all inclusive holiday. A must go hotel for family with children.
This hotel surpasses the others by a mile. They have excellent facilities for the children. Crèche is free and there are three sessions per day.
The food is excellent and there is an outdoor heated pool. Great for children, the pool is not that hot but certainly beats a cold pool. The beach is also brilliant, almost seems exclusive to the resident.
The hotel is a bit dated and the food from the Chinese restaurant was poor.

just retuned from red sea holiday village with my husband and daughter age 10 and son age 1 we were all ill and when my son was sick in the cot provided i took the sheets of to find to my horror that it was covered in poo, urine, and sick stains when i complained about this i was given another dirty one and complained again and they made me a new one but it was not safety tested so couldnt let my son sleep in it sickness spread right through the whole family to the point that my husband and daughter had to be put on a drip and pumped full of drugs to kill the bug we would not recommend this hotel and will definetly not return here
- Advice: dont go

We had our eyes on this resort in September 2010 but thought to wait nearer time for a better deal. So booked 28th December and got 2 interconnecting rooms for 2 adults and 2 children (7,11) for £1750 all inclusive!!! Was very happy with that. We loved it there, the weather was just right 25c with light breeze. Accomodation was FANTASTIC the rooms sooooo spacious we instantly felt at home. We had a great balcony with views over the quiet pool and swim up pools but also could see the sea. We got the sun from 10am - sunset which was lovely as after a day at the pool we could soak up the remainer sun in private with a drink in our hand! The a-le-carte restaurants were a lovely break from the manic buffet restaurant. Our favorite was the Medittarno. The staff were very accomodating and nothing was a problem. Our room cleaner Hany was very understanding when i said the bed was very hard, so he provided an additional mattress to go on top and although was still harder was more bearable. The First Choice Reps were lovely and you could tell they loved their jobs and weren`t taking any of the time they spent there for granted. Both my children went on the zip wire TWICE, and loved it. They did the high climbing ropes aswell on the shipwreck situated on the beach. The reps encouraged them along the way and my son after saying he wanted to get down at the beginning got to the top!!! I would recommend this holiday and we would love to go back next year, had better do some overtime to start saving!!!!

We booked late, two weeks before departure, and were given a free room upgrade. The room was very spacious absolutely huge with the biggest bed I have ever seen. Included in the room was tea and coffee making facilities, mini fridge (chargeable) free bottles of water daily, a TV and DVD player. On the patio was a Jacuzzi (well a Jacuzzi/bath) the staff couldn't do enough for you either the hotel or first choice.
No one should ever go hungry here as there is something for everyone, the al carte restaurants were not that special but it was out of choice as to whether you used them or not, the Mediterranean restaurant doubled up as the adult dining room, which was pleasant to use in the mornings. There was also an adult only bar in the same block, with a great view over the beach at night.
you might have read that some people struggled to find a sun bed, we never went down to the main pool or beach and couldn't find a bed, yes some selfish gits would put towels on 5 or 6 beds and you wouldn't see them until 2 o’clock, but if you went to the towel boys they would sort it out, though we never had this problem.
Entertainment wasn't great if you are a bit older, but for anyone with kids I’m sure it was more than ok.
On our last day we had torrential rain and thunder. We left to go on the VIP Cruise including snorkelling but on arrival at the boat it was cancelled huge apologises and a full refund.
that night in the hotel with persistent rain some rooms started to become flooded ceilings started to collapse the main areas on the reception had to be closed, the main hall bar ect. everyone just got stuck in to help out, hotel staff first choice and the holiday makers, what a great atmosphier .don't get too worried this weather only happens about once a year and normally only for 24 hrs.
there is not much to do in Sharm, as it is just load of hotels thrown on a piece of waste land with a sprinkleling of macdonalds burger king KFC and tatt shops.there is no culture there.if you get a taxi make sure you get a return trip, someone had a cab to Soho for a fiver got offered return for £15 GBP refused it. went to return from Soho cheapest cab £60!! be warned
in summery i would say this is a great place to stay for some winter sunshine, not much to do in resort at all.but more than fine to recharge your batteries.

Had wonderful cruise on Grand Rose back just before Christmas.
It was the holiday of a lifetime! Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff.
Only problem we had was with Monarch. Our flight was diverted due to bad weather and we were abandoned at Stanstead. Eventually arrived home 23 hours after leaving the Grand Rose.
Would do the same holiday tomorrow!!

We have just returned from a Cruise and Stay holiday with Red Sea Holidays. We stayed for 3 nights at the Siva Grand Beach in Hurghada, followed by a week Cruising on the Grand Preziosa, and then another 4 nights back at the Siva Grand Beach. The whole holiday was so well planned from start to finish, and the food was spot on. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff although some are a little too persistant, and you are waited on hand and foot. The Grand Preziosa, although an older ship. had a wonderful atmosphere on board, and plenty of time for relaxing as well as going on all the trips. Siva Grand Beach is a beautiful location with everything you could ask for, and downtown Hurghada is just a short taxi ride away with its busy life. When we first booked we were a little apprehensive, having never been to Egypt before, but we will definitely be returning on another holiday with Red Sea Holidays. All the representatives are on hand every day, and our Egypyologist on the Cruise dererves a medal for his knowledge and commitment to the job. Only one disappointment was that we were supposed to be flying with Monarch, and it turned out to be Jet2.com- not too comfortable for 5 1/2 hours- 1 point deducted for hat reason.
- Advice: Give it a go, you won,t be disappointed

First time my husband i opted for an all inclusive holiday with our two and a half year old daughter.
The resort was very safe and relaxing and perfect for families with little children. We went with First choice and entertainement and activities were run by First Choice. The hotel staff were friendly and always smiling despite working round the clock, and first choice staff were always available to help.
The facilities are good, and rooms are spacious and comfortable, although they can make the rooms a little more special and a little more cleaner...than again i am a clean freak. The pool side snack bar and ice creams are all scattered, so as it is a big resort, things can be a little hard to work out in the first day or two. The ala cart chinese resturant needs a little imporving, but Indian and med resturants are good. Kids from 3 years and above can have a ball, but my daugter was 24 months whilst on holiday so just missed out on kids club. They did have payable creche facilities for children up to 35 months....and i did not know about the free play sessions at creche from 5 till six, until i booked her in for a creshe session. First choice may need to make the faciclities they offer more acessible maybe. The hotle could do with clear visble signs pointing to toilets, as there are several but you would not know unless you asked.
First choice did provide belly dancers, that was good, but they had boring bingo as entertainment most evenings from 9 onwards and caberet wich was not our cup of tea.. we used to just get out the hotel at that time and go for a stroll...go shopping.
I reccomend every one to do the excursion to Cairo...the 6 hours drive is worth it after seeing the pyramids...my little one was a star through out the whole excursion...all in all a good holiday. by the way begining of Novemenber until first week of Decmeber is the ideal time to go, weather is 31 degrees, still hot but not like jun, july august, when it is 40 to 50 degrees. It is slighly expensive first week of Novemeber, however it does gets cheaper first week of Decemebr.

Just got back after a week with my wife and 3 year old and i was worried as some of the reviews were poor but i put these down to other peoples unfortunate experiences as i loved every minute. Hope this helps:
Room- we booked a standard, ground floor with pool view. We were put into a swim up room on arrival. Seperate toilet/sink/shower areas, large bedroom with door onto patio and gate onto our own sunbeds leading into the swim up pool. Cleaned daily to a high standard. Allowed us to swim in morn in peace then moved down to big pool for a bit of fun.
Food-lots to choose from (check every area before deciding what to eat)with cook as you wait bars for omelletts/eggs,pizza,roasts,pastas etc kids/english/egyptian. 3 uses of the al la cart restruants in 1 week to break it up-enjoyed every meal we had in there and it was nice to be waited on. The buffet restaraunt does get very busy and there are alot of impatient people rushing around. Snack bar is just that, basic snacks for those that cant be bothered going to the restaurant.
Entertainment-mainly catered for the kids. The Team work tirelessly and put on some really good shows. They also have 1 egyptian entertainment night and comedians and magicians so it is not just the 1st choice team. There are loads of activities day and night for adults and kids if they wish to join in.
Pools- 1 main (2 x slides and swim up bar), 1 kids with slide), 1 activity pool (for swim lessons/canoeing etc)and a quiet pool. The swim up pools are omly for those that are in those rooms.
Sunbeds-not an issue in swim up rooms. For 2 days there were loads of beds available at midday, the other 5 days i just dumped my kit near the pool as myself and my 3 year old spent the whole time in the pool so didnt need one. Either book early or be flexible.
Beach-lovely views and layout but sand is rough and pretty naff (no sandcastles). Snorkelling is fantastic but wear swim shoes (cheap at argos). Only spent 1 day on beach as there is more to do at the pool.
Loved it, hope this helps

A fabulous hotel for a relaxing week in the sun. We, 2 adults 2 children aged 12 & 10 had a great time at The Holiday Village, there was plenty to do for all the family. The hotel was clean and room was very large, we were lucky to have a junior suite with jacuzzi on the balcony.
The food was very good and none of us were ill in any way. The staff all work to ensure that the guests are having a good time.
There isn't much outside the hotel except for 'souvenir' shops and restaurants. Would highly recommend the Three Crowns pub across the road !
