Good value B&B in good location

Stayed for one night at Distillery House during a recent Land's End to John O'Groats jaunt (in a car!) and were impressed by the comfortable facilities and the location - right on the junction leading out of Fort William to Spean Bridge and beyond. Lovely room and decent breakfast - more haggis than you could shake a stick at! We missed the conversation that we had at several of our road trip stays but there was a sweet cat and a very welcome complimentary whisky or sherry when we arrived. All in all a good choice for a one night stay.

What a disappointment! I stayed two nights at the Distillery House with my husband and my 3-year old daughter and I've got to say I wasn't overly impressed. This B&B advertises as the "Best of the Highlands". Well I wonder what the other ones must be like... Our bedroom... more
