I took my parents to Koh Samui last summer for a 2 week stay. We were supposed to stay in two hotels.
The first one was great but the second one basically turned out to be a construction site. After having walked up and down the beach looking for a new hotel I decided to switch to Le Paradis.
The place had recently been renovated having a very sleek and modern design. The place is made up by comfortable bungalows some of them with really cool semi-outdoor restrooms.
The hotel also has a very good restaurant and a large pool situated by the beach, so you can have a drink in the water and watch the busy beach activities.
The service is very good. Apart from the normal high service level in Thailand the staff really provided that little extra.
I would also say that the price level is good.
My parents had their 37y wedding anniversary and even though we didn't make a big deal about it the general manager provided us with free champagne to celebrate the moment.
I can highly recommend this hotel!
