Boutique type Hotel with standard size rooms each decorated differently, each corridor lights up with a different colour as you pass through.
Only thing missing in room is your own tea/coffee making facilities.
Breakfast ample with sufficient continental choice. Friendly staff willing to assist with info on places of interest and restaurants. Could not really fault hotel at all, very good for a two star.
Ideal position 5 minutes max from Opera Metro station which is 25 minutes from Madrid Airport Metro Station.
Royal Palace 10 minutes away and all of Old Madrid within 30- 40 minutes by foot. Variety of very good restaurants within 10 - 15 minutes of Hotel.

The Roommate Mario Hotel is ideally situated, being close to many of Madrid's attractions, restaurants, and bars, with the Opera metro station only two minutes away, but in a peaceful street with little traffic.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean and comfortable, as was the bathroom.
The varied and plentiful breakfast was a bonus. We would recommend this hotel without reservation.
