Overall a very nice hotel. It’s an old hotel but looks really beautiful from the front, really elegant.
Its Lobby is huge, plenty of seats for everyone. The pool area was adequate, would have been nice to have changing rooms down there though.
The hotel has some good facilities, it’s had a games room, the pool and jacuzzi, a computer room so you have access to the internet.
Two bars, one in the hotel which is very nice and another just off to the side of the hotel called the Red Fox, this place was great, the food is really nice and reasonable prices so I’d definitely recommend it.
The breakfast was nice, although if you wanted a waffle you had to wait a while but only on the weekend. During the week was much quieter.
My room was really nice, a good size TV, a fridge, microwave, kettle and sink. I also had a sofa bed, desk and chair. The bathroom was a bit dated but certainly adequate for a few days use.
The Location on the other hand was the only downside. It is quite far away from the harbour and other sites; I’d definitely recommend paying a little extra and staying in one of the hotels in downtown or the Gaslamp Quarter. Taxis were around $20 to the harbour and airport.
I would recommend this hotel to tourists who have a car but not for tourists on foot. Its bus or taxis for everything then and the cost soon mounts up.
