The Old Mill Hotel

We have just returned from a mini-break with friends in this delightful location. The Reception could not have been friendlier, yet provided all the necessary information concisely & efficiently. Our room, whilst not being spacious was very clean & most comfortable with a river view. The bath robes & slippers were a nice touch. As we walked around the Hotel to 'acclimatise', I was impressed by the pleasant greetings from the various staff on duty which gave the place a warmth often missing in some places. We met our friends in the bar lounge for drinks overlooking the river with the waterwheel providing a distinctive feature - very relaxing. Then to dinner in the restaurant. Our table for six was ready & a very warm welcome awaited us & by now we knew we had made a good choice. This was confirmed with the choice & quality of food on offer. The dining experience at this hotel surpasses many other establishments with higher ratings. The breakfast offering was also of a similiar standard & set us up each day for our trips around the city. I would reccomend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing stay in a good location offering well presented food in an informal & friendly environment.
