We have stayed at Limnes many times and always found the rooms lovely and clean. Its rather along way from the town centre along a very baron road. The Mother is fantastic and a good business women. However the daughters and grandson leave alot to be desired. The Grandson takes over the pool when he returns from school unless the Grandmother stops him. He is far from friendly and the bar is opened when they choose and for mostly their friends who stare at you while your sunbathing. I will not be returning next year/

What an absolutely awful place Villa Limnes is. We were due to stay for 2 weeks but paid to get away for the second week. Read the other reviews, the family running it are a nightmare, always rowing with each other - the bar is there just for them and their family - it seems - the rooms are shockingly small and very poorly appointed. The Kosmar rep denied they had had any problem with this accomodation - just read the other comments and make your own mind up. Do not consider this for one second - no matter how cheap your holiday is - it is not worth giving these awful people your hard earned cash. Stay away. Santorini is such a lovely place - don't spoil it my staying in this accomodation.

yes the appartments are clean but overall dissappointing. NO SANCKS available at the pool bar, the children who were there got told off repeatedly by the owners do not dive in the pool (they were jumping in) as kids do and then the owners daughters and there friends were diving in with there clothes and they are adults. the owners grandson also visited daily and liked to show off by walking on roofs and walls and diving in the pool. the pool was freezing and too small.

Where do I start....
Santorini absolutely beautiful and a fantastic island - especially Thira and Oia.
Villa Limnes - total opposite - staff very rude, unhelpful in fact don't seem to give a damn about their "customers".
I have been to different Greek Islands and know to expect "basic" but Villa Limnes beggars beyond belief!!!!!!! Okay if you are a single student travelling i.e. island hopping but for a family of four - 2 adults - 2 children - no way hose.
Booked this holiday in September, 2007 - really, really looking forward to the island - we will visit again without a doubt next year but please, please stay well clear of Villa Limnes.

The accommodation at Villa Limnes is basic but clean, and just about what you should expect for the cost. We found the family who own it to be friendly and the premises are well cared for. They do a lovely iced coffee at the bar. It's only a short walk from the beach and the main part of the village, but long enough to walk off a little part of your dinner.
The village of Perissa is a nice, typical island resort with a good selection of places to eat and drink. We found God's Garden and Charlina's to be our favourites, but we couldn't complain about any meals that we had elsewhere. The beach was clean and not crowded.
The island is small enough to see most of it in a week and the buses run a good service which takes you all over the island. It's worth doing the villages tour which most companies seem to do, if only to give you an idea of where to explore by yourself. Oia, Fira and Imerovigli are all worth visiting, but watch where you eat, as the prices vary incredibly according to the view from the taverna.
All in all it's a lovely relaxing place and to be recommended.

These apartments are perfectly located, the beach is less than 5 mins away, the town of Perissa is less than 15 mins walk as is Perivolos! The villas in general are average, we found the things that let it down were that you are given a tiny towel ( take your own!), they gave you one bag for the toilet bin for the first day then you had to provide your own, kitchen area very small and basic - couldnt really cook a meal if you wanted to, the pool is small and the bar area is barely a bar, there are also no umbrellas for shade. The two sisters are fine, we came to the conclusion that they do try to be nice but they dont come across as well as they hope to.
Perissa is lovely, very dramatic backdrop of the mountain directly overlooking the town. We actually got a water taxi from Perissa over to Kamari and then walked back over the mountain which was quite a climb but was well worth it. There is a good nightlife if you know where to look, Full Moon bar always has 2 for 1 cocktails till 11 and then Beach Bar is the club to go to later. Perivolos is lively during the day and has really nice beach bars. a good tip for the sun beds on the Perissa beach is rather than pay 7 euros for the day, you can find some that give you them for free as long as you buy a couple of drinks from their bar.
You can get boat trips out to the volcano which is ok to see, good views, the hot springs were not that hot but fun- wear an old bikini because it gets ruined, and Oia is gorgeous - very expensive but really stunning and not just the sunset, the town too. Kosmar tried to charge a great deal for the trips out but if you do a bit of research in perissa and you can find a trip that will take you to all three places for just 25 euros. We also took a trip out to Naxos for 2days which was very easy to organise and the ferries are really cheap.
As a 22 year old this holiday was perfect, it had a bit of everything, bit of sights a bit of relaxing and a bit of adventure.

This was the second time we have stayed here, its great. The fairly long walk from the town centre is a bit of a drag but a sobering experience. The family that run the villa's are very friendly and always ready to help. The beach is a stones throw away with a selection of restaurants and bars. The room was cleaned daily. The pool is small but a nice size, my son learnt to swim in this pool.
Well worth a visit.

We have been here twice now, both times were very relaxing.
The owner and her daughters were very pleasant and played with my two boys who were then 10 and 6 with their gameboys.
The rooms we had were very spacious and clean.
The only downfall was the prices of the drinks at their poolside bar, they were very expensive and you never paid the same price twice and as the days went on into the season they got even dearer.
This is a quite location but you are a five minute walk away from the beach and restaurants.

A terrible place to stay. I disagree with a comment made by someone above that if you want 10 x a better holiday, pay 10 x more. Maybe tat person doesn't mind mucking in with bad mannered drunkerds whonever step away from the hotel bar for their holiday. Whatever you pay to stay here expect your money to include being sneered at, tutted at, given 'evils' (by the two teenage fat sisters who are funning the show and their accomplice holiday makers) if you choose to walk past their makeshift bar on your way out to a nice taverna with attentive staff.
My boyfriend and I are just two normal people who work and like a nice holiday once a year. We were treated like Lady Muck and Smug Boyfriend for being polite and asking to be moved from ROOM 13 to a normal room, you know, with a window and balcony or at least a square metre of outside space. We were moved thanfully 3 days later, but with no thanks to the Kosmar rep, who, predictably, had 'never had any complaints about the hotel' - shyeah right.
An older couple who were very frail appeared to be looked after very well by the staff, dropped off to the beach and so on, which was heartening, but the older lady confided in us saying she had noticed that they always charged something different for the same drinks becasue they thought they could get away with it (they eveidently did and do judging by comments on here). We never went to the bar, but heard them all fro mour balcony when we came home from an otherwise lovely, normal holiday away from the meagre grounds.
Don't let this put you off coming to Santorini, it's gorgeous, romantic, great restaurants, beautiful sunsets - especially Oia and Thira - brilliant!
If the owners or barside holiday makers ever read these - we were the couple with the red quadbike - the ones who went out and about everyday greeted by your sneers!
Bitter, me?
