Neptune Beach Resort Hotel

The hotel staff were so hard working, especially Cosmos the pool attendant, Gibson in the restaurant (such a gentleman) and Ben from Animation, they really made our stay so special. The rooms were lovely and clean, ours was a side view which was not great, but we did not go all that way to stay in our room. The food was nice although not a great choice, there always seemed to be Ox Tongue YUK, but luckily there was always a carvery too which was great. We stayed for a week here and cannot recommend it enough. The accommodation is spot on (although our view was poor). The room was airy and spacious with airco and tea/coffee set up as well as a tv. The staff were friendly, helpful and attentive without ever bothering us and the massage parlour here was a lovely experience in a calm, clean location with an expert hand - you should try it. Our holiday was a blast! THe hotel is a bit dated, but very good. Clean, roomy, and a nice bathroom. The food is okay, although the choices are sometimes a bit limited. But we had such a great time. It is really relaxed, and because it is all inclusive, it is not a problem when you skip breakfast (2 teenage kids found a "nightclub") and have a small snack. I'm writing this because I found the reviews of others to be invaluable so feel that I should make the same contribution. I would mention that the last review was accurate enough to make the same observations unnecessary. Firstly, I gather there has been a recent refurbishment of the hotel, so any adverse comments regarding the accommodation may now be inaccurate. stayed here in july as AI.hotel was great, huge bathroom. staff very friendly and helpful. the food was amazing. my only criticism is that the pool area is too shady, if you want to lie in the sun you have to keep moving the bed from the shade create by the trees. as regular travellers bamburi will know using the beach is a no no as the beach boys just pester you. we did find that once you have been there a few days they leave you alone or if you buy something. we were also told that if you walk on the edge of the sea you are less likely to... more

We just got back from Kenya. We stayed at the Neptune Beach Hotel (Paradise part) for two weeks in August 2007. From the moment we arrived we felt very welcome, very friendly personnel. The superior rooms are of good size with satellite TV, air conditioning, balcony, telephone, table, chairs and comfortable beds. Choose a superior room to get some more space and luxury for small additional price (the standard rooms are more noisy). The paradise side of the hotel is more quiet and relaxing to my opinion. The hotel is okay, the rooms are clean and the staff is nice. The service is also okay. Beds and towls for the pool are available. The atmosphere was nice and the animation program was not too overloaded. The food was nothing special, but it was tasty. The music in the evening stops latest by 11.30 pm. That's an advantage. Something what I found very special is a little cabinet with an exchange library. That's a really good idea. You can't expect a luxery hotel, but all in all they offer a good service.

Nicel, clean hote with extremely friendly staff which made you feel welcome. The availabiity of hot water is only between 5pm and 8am and making external phone calls is extremely difficult and expensive. The staff lend you their gsm to call! The food is of ok quality with the highlight of Tuesday evenings and "Kenyan night". Entertainement is of so so quality. Had a wonderful Holiday. Hotel Clean, Staff helpfull. facilities good Food excelent choices on buffet . A/I good value and free snacks also. Livingston kept room spotless and Cosmos Pool boy was great. Can't wait to go again this year.
