A fine place after all

We stayed at this hotel in Mid-May 2004. It is located within 10 minutes walking from center of Taormina. People at the front desk were very polite and helpful. We were given a clean large double room with two balconies, one facing the sea, the other facing the mountain. The furnishing is simple but OK. No air conditionning at this time of the year but it did not bother us for having a good night sleep. Nice pool. Breakfasts are quite simple (bread, ham, jam). It seems to be the trademark in Sicily. Breakfast poor. Portion control. Orange squash for 2 days then ran out for rest of the week. Waiting for supplies from Palermo! Ham only, cheese only available on request, if they had any! General standard of service poor
