" horrible hotel "

from my point of view, it is one of the worst hotels in which I have been. After entering the service at reception it's awfull. They do not attend to you, or attend and say "yes, yes" like they're talking to a mad person and then they go and attend to another client and then other and so successively. And they even refuse to give you the claim sheet.

Advice: you have better hotel to choose

Activities: none

Good for: Beach

" You Get What You Pay For :) "

Myself and my family have been to this hotel on and off for 5 years. This year I went alone with my 15 year old daughter.
We knew what to expect, as this is one of the cheapest all inclusive holidays in Tenerife.
I won't lie about anything, because I feel that if you book this holiday you cannot expect 5* accomodation.
Firstly the Thomson staff were effecient and helpful both outward and return, and at the hotel :)
The rooms are basic, clean...but could do with a bit of work..which I heard would be happening with a revamp, and the maid service was almost everyday for us, which caught us out a few times!! The maids were very friendly and, if you make the effort to say hello, and smile....
Ok..The food... we were soooo disappointed this year...they have cut the menu back...the salads were wonderful...but you dont go on holiday to eat salad..( we didnt)
We saw a few people sneaking in Pizza, and sneaking off to the Chinese restuarant...
The kids food was restricted to chicken nuggets, pizza, some sort of burger and more pizza..with prawns on... :S..i would have been gutted if my youngsters has this to choose from.
The staff, were so nice and made you feel welcome...apart from that dude at reception with the long dark hair...nice to check in with his long face welcoming you....
The entertainment team were great this year, very polite and genuinely looking like they were interested, apart from one girl who looked like she was just going through the motions with the kids at the mini mini disco...
A lot of adults ( who were a lot older than us)enjoyed taking part in the daily events held...nice to have a relaxing environment...freindly :)
Bingo...nightly...was spoilt a bit by some Polish ppl...but heyyyy they on holiday tooo..
when they had left...Bingo was really serious...Dabbers at the ready...still never won!!
The bar staff were good at their job, as I know they had worked for years previously...
If you take time to talk to them, Francisco and Jaime?...great at their job :)who try to speak English, Italian etc...
Pool is cold so is the lido...but hey it was Jan...lido is free to enter with ur AI band...
new beach has been made nearby...very nice
All in all, all inclusive Butlins in Tenerife, is how I would describe it.......you get what you pay for...just enjoy it...if you want to eat 4 times a day you will get bored of the food...nice sarnies near the pool..and supermarket 2 mins away
ice cream, lollies, and snacks at the pool...
...And.....no hassle when you go out to the small row of shops ( its a small relaxing place)......nobody shoving a scratch card in your face....
I saw the same faces who went every year at the same time...
just enjoy it xxxx

" Fiesta Oasis Floral visit Xmas 2008 "

I travelled to this hotel with my partner for a Christmas break in December 2008.
Admittedly, we had been transferred from the Oasis Paraiso hotel opposite the Floral, (one that we had used several times previously), and anticipated certain similarities, since the Floral was, after all, the Paraiso's sister hotel.
However, how wrong could we have been.
Never having stayed at an all-inclusive hotel before, we arrived having no idea what to expect. We checked-in and had our identifying "wristbands" affixed. Having been "labelled", we were free to use the all-inclusive facilities.
Rooms were exceptionally clean, and balconies were of a reasonable size. We tended to avoid using our balcony due to there being resident smokers either side of us; the stench of smoke tended to drift onto our balcony and also into our room. Consequently, we used the balcony reluctantly.
Rooms were always cleaned well, and we had 3 changes of bed linen during our 7 night stay. Maids were very cheerful and courteous.
Food was disappointing, with the exception of Christmas Day, when it was exceptional!
Apart from the Christmas Day offerings, the food was of a reasonable standard, although unimaginative. There was a fair selection of food on offer, from soups and salads to several hot dishes. There were also themed dishes. I did not relish meal times at all, but could not initially understand why. By the third day, it finally dawned on me what was so unappealing about meal times; the crush!
Meal times appeared to be a scrum where only the fittest survived. There was no point in joining the endless queues for the various dishes, as no-one respected them. It was a total free for all! I had never witnessed such poor manners from hotel guests.
It reminded me of a huge gaggle of geese, rushing from one feeding trough to another.
This was repeated everywhere in the hotel, from the morning "on the starting blocks" race for a sunbed, to securing your seat in the bar or lobby in the evening.
I noted that several groups of seats were permanently occupied by the same families, morning, noon, and night. I did ask a couple of large groups how they managed to achieve this, and was informed that they never went for meals or refreshments as a group, but rather in pairs, so that chairs were never lost. I kid you not.
The snack bar service that operated outside of main meal times offered the same dishes every day; burgers/hot dogs, chips, or pizza squares. There was no facility to purchase anything more substantial, which was a disappointment. Not being accustomed to eating fast food, I would willingly have paid for a steak or paella, but all suggestions were declined.
I also resented having to have my soft drinks in paper cups, even at main meal times.
Glasses only appeared after dark.
The Floral has several facilities, but the hotel itself occupies little space, so everything feels cramped. The facilities for children are very good.
We left the hotel wondering if the Oasis Floral was representative of all-inclusive hotels. Are they all full of selfish individuals, who reserve their seats, object to queueing for anything, and enjoy passing the day eating fast food and drinking ghastly locally produced spirits?
If it was, then we shall certainly avoid them in future.
Would I return to the Floral?
Definitely not.

Advice: Quiet resort to relax

Activities: El Medano beach is wonderful

" Parasio Floral "

This hotel is only a 3* and we got a good deal on it. They are making some improvements whilst we were there - air con in the restaurant which I can imagine is needed during the summer. What can I say, the food is fabulous and there is plenty going on around the pool during the day for adults and children and at night time they have the usual bingo and fun and games. The hotel could do with a lick of paint and some new furniture and generally updating but apart from this its a nice place.

" fantastic break "

We have recentley come back from staying in this hotel and im afraid i cannot complain about it at all!!!! The rooms were clean but basic, the food was good and different every night and the entertainment was very good! The hotel is situated in a lovely area of tenerife it has a few shops but nothing spectacular and there are busses that run frequantley. All in all had a fab break and am already looking into going back there next year!!!!!

" Having stayed at this hotel several... "

Having stayed at this hotel several times before
we were not afraid to return once more
the food is good if not basic, and the menu change daily, but some are repeated
but saying that there is plenty of choice and variety,
both in hot or cold meals, and plenty of fresh fruit.
snacks can be found all day from areas in the hotel

The rooms are cleaned daily , with towels changed at your request
bedding is change several times a week as are the towels
we found no problems with cleanliness in all areas

No air conditioning at the moment, just a fan in the room
best to leave balcony door open at night,
as there is little noise from around after midnight
but they are going to unstall this throughout the hotel
and some of it is in progress,

all drinks can be found here , mostly local but a good choice all round
there is a childrens club, of which most parents, spoke good of
a mini disco for small children from 8.30 - 9pm

entertainment not so good, unless you like jugglers or a magic show
the later is good though, bingo every night, just one game
spoken in several languages, which takes about half an hour. LOL
and several quizzes on the nights no acts are on

this is a small resort, with just a few small shops bars and restruant
if you want to visit the big resorts ,
you can travel on the bus which run hourly, from early morning to late at night
a good size pool, for both the young and old
or in the lido which is a short walk away

" Wow this was a brillaint holiday,... "

Wow this was a brillaint holiday,

I had the most amazing time! , the staff were fantastic!
Food was delicious,
lots of good entertainment!
Fun for all kids.
Definatly somewhere to take teenagers,
As i am 13 and thought the place was terific!
Lots of things to do everyday!
I defanatly wish to come back to the same hotel again, i cant explain the fun i had! the people there are so lovely , lots of people and kids to get to know, in a fab location!
Definatly better than the last hotel i went to , which was Caladonia Park also in Tenerife.

" This is a very basic but clean... "

This is a very basic but clean hotel, the food was good[fairly basic]but nice and plentiful, the staff very hard working but not over friendly. The entertainment was very poor and certainly the kids clubs were practically none existant. The lido near to the hotel is lovely although a little cold, but they drain it on a Monday and Friday and these are definatley a good days to go as obviously it becomes alot shallower and warmer.I would'nt recommend this hotel to anone with teenagers because of the lack of things to do in the hotel and the resort[no beach or nice walks],also anyone with a pushchair/wheelchair because there are steep stairs to the dining room and there are 17floors in this hotel{we were on the 15th-not nice!]and only two lifts which constantly have to bypass you're floor as thay are full.
If you're a typical Brit abroad and enjoy sprinting to put you're towel on the sunloungers in the morning and grazing all day then this is for you!!

" had a fine room,clean on arrival,maid... "

had a fine room, clean on arrival, maid every day but just made beds and clean towels never cleaned or swept floor for 2 weeks!
you could not sit around pool at night it was locked gate, which did not open till 9am,sad people started to q up at 8am!but if you need a parasol you need to be there by 8.30,around the baby pool very slippy and dirty around pool, the lido salt water pool was nice you got your free drinks but paid for parasols, the hotel has a kids club morning and afternoon wich was very good nicola was very good with the kids, there was a tomsons kids club in hotel across road but never bothered going as the hotels own one was fine, the food was plentyful but not great plenty salad and chips would usually book a 4 star and you really no the difference,if your looking for a qiet resort its fine as there is only a few shops overall we had a fine time i was on my own with my 3 kids and i feel it was a fine safe place

" When i first saw the area of this... "

When i first saw the area of this hotel,i had a real sinking feeling about the location because it looked in the middle of no-where,and it probably is to some people but there are regular buses to playa de las americas just across the road from the hotel,as theres not to many shops nearby.Food was brilliant. My husband had to miss a few mealtimes because he cannot say no to food when he sees it and there was a lot of choice that he couldn't resist,so he stayed away.My two girls ate plenty too.I have never seen my 11year old eat so much,as she is a real fussy eater, but she ate plenty at the hotel. My 8 year old ate all the ice-cream,so sorry if theres none left for anyone else.haha!!Rooms are very clean & basic but we only spent 2hours a day in them, service is first class where ever you are in the hotel. We would all go back to this hotel again and the location is not that bad either.

" We had a lovely holiday here. The... "

We had a lovely holiday here. The staff were friendly and efficient. The food at all three meal times was very good with lots of choice in fact most days we were spolt for choice. Also out of meal times a snack bar for burgers, pizza hot dogs and chips were available for those with healthy appetites. The staff kept the dining room and serving area spotless with constant supervision. The bar staff were also friendly and efficient with virtually no queing for drinks at night. The grounds were fine for relaxing, swimming and sunbathing. There was a nice walk round the headland with a nice sunset as an ideal way to shake down the evening meal

After reading varied reviews about this hotel i was very apprehensive. but on arrive was pleasently suprised. the rooms were fresh and airy only a fan in the living room mind and not the bedroom. and maid service everyday. the food was nice not much variety from day to day. the hotel kids club was great they came and took your kids off everyday at 11 til 1 and 3 til 5 and brought them back if you asked them to. does get really busy during school holidays and have to queue for a sunbed as they dont open the gate til 9am and they soon get took up.

All in all was really good value for money. I would go back another time.

" Just come back for a weeks all... "

Just come back for a weeks all inclusive basis at this hotel, had a great time, the food is fantastic for a 3* plenty of choice and all well cooked. All the staff at the hotel are friendly speak excellant english and work exceptionally hard to ensure everyone is having a good time, the rooms although very dated are spotless and are cleaned everyday and clean towels provided daily too.

Entertainment very good, there is bingo 4 times a week which is called out in several languages which wa called out by each fiesta rep in turn they are extremely hard working and very talented as they all have to speak at least 4 languages.

Be aware that the thomson reps will try and rip you off on the trips i priced up the trip to Loro Parque before arriving and was told through Thomson it was going to cost £90.00 but at the welcome meeting we were given pieces of paper with £110.00 on when i qeiried this with the reps they tried to make out i'd made the other price up, and because the Parque is on the other side of the island we had no alternative but to pay their "new made up price". They also tried to sell us the guided tour for 36 euros but on arrival at the parque the tour guides told us it was only 24 euros so where was the extra money going??????

The resort is very quiet with only a handful of bars, shops and restaurants around and not much beach to speak of but the hotel was lovely and we enjoyed our week there. Would definately reccommend the trip to Loro Parque as it is a fantastic day out, just ask the hotel to make you up a free packed lunch they are more than adequate and very tasty.
