Fiesta Paraiso Floral Hotel Reviews
" You Get What You Pay For :) "
Submitted By: gyemmaWe knew what to expect, as this is one of the cheapest all inclusive holidays in Tenerife.
I won't lie about anything, because I feel that if you book this holiday you cannot expect 5* accomodation.
Firstly the Thomson staff were effecient and helpful both outward and return, and at the hotel :)
The rooms are basic, clean...but could do with a bit of work..which I heard would be happening with a revamp, and the maid service was almost everyday for us, which caught us out a few times!! The maids were very friendly and, if you make the effort to say hello, and smile....
Ok..The food... we were soooo disappointed this year...they have cut the menu back...the salads were wonderful...but you dont go on holiday to eat salad..( we didnt)
We saw a few people sneaking in Pizza, and sneaking off to the Chinese restuarant...
The kids food was restricted to chicken nuggets, pizza, some sort of burger and more pizza..with prawns on... :S..i would have been gutted if my youngsters has this to choose from.
The staff, were so nice and made you feel welcome...apart from that dude at reception with the long dark hair...nice to check in with his long face welcoming you....
The entertainment team were great this year, very polite and genuinely looking like they were interested, apart from one girl who looked like she was just going through the motions with the kids at the mini mini disco...
A lot of adults ( who were a lot older than us)enjoyed taking part in the daily events held...nice to have a relaxing environment...freindly :)
Bingo...nightly...was spoilt a bit by some Polish ppl...but heyyyy they on holiday tooo..
when they had left...Bingo was really serious...Dabbers at the ready...still never won!!
The bar staff were good at their job, as I know they had worked for years previously...
If you take time to talk to them, Francisco and Jaime?...great at their job :)who try to speak English, Italian etc...
Pool is cold so is the lido...but hey it was Jan...lido is free to enter with ur AI band...
new beach has been made nearby...very nice
All in all, all inclusive Butlins in Tenerife, is how I would describe it.......you get what you pay for...just enjoy it...if you want to eat 4 times a day you will get bored of the food...nice sarnies near the pool..and supermarket 2 mins away
ice cream, lollies, and snacks at the pool...
...And.....no hassle when you go out to the small row of shops ( its a small relaxing place)......nobody shoving a scratch card in your face....
I saw the same faces who went every year at the same time...
just enjoy it xxxx
" Fiesta Oasis Floral visit Xmas 2008 "
Submitted By: mstribliAdmittedly, we had been transferred from the Oasis Paraiso hotel opposite the Floral, (one that we had used several times previously), and anticipated certain similarities, since the Floral was, after all, the Paraiso's sister hotel.
However, how wrong could we have been.
Never having stayed at an all-inclusive hotel before, we arrived having no idea what to expect. We checked-in and had our identifying "wristbands" affixed. Having been "labelled", we were free to use the all-inclusive facilities.
Rooms were exceptionally clean, and balconies were of a reasonable size. We tended to avoid using our balcony due to there being resident smokers either side of us; the stench of smoke tended to drift onto our balcony and also into our room. Consequently, we used the balcony reluctantly.
Rooms were always cleaned well, and we had 3 changes of bed linen during our 7 night stay. Maids were very cheerful and courteous.
Food was disappointing, with the exception of Christmas Day, when it was exceptional!
Apart from the Christmas Day offerings, the food was of a reasonable standard, although unimaginative. There was a fair selection of food on offer, from soups and salads to several hot dishes. There were also themed dishes. I did not relish meal times at all, but could not initially understand why. By the third day, it finally dawned on me what was so unappealing about meal times; the crush!
Meal times appeared to be a scrum where only the fittest survived. There was no point in joining the endless queues for the various dishes, as no-one respected them. It was a total free for all! I had never witnessed such poor manners from hotel guests.
It reminded me of a huge gaggle of geese, rushing from one feeding trough to another.
This was repeated everywhere in the hotel, from the morning "on the starting blocks" race for a sunbed, to securing your seat in the bar or lobby in the evening.
I noted that several groups of seats were permanently occupied by the same families, morning, noon, and night. I did ask a couple of large groups how they managed to achieve this, and was informed that they never went for meals or refreshments as a group, but rather in pairs, so that chairs were never lost. I kid you not.
The snack bar service that operated outside of main meal times offered the same dishes every day; burgers/hot dogs, chips, or pizza squares. There was no facility to purchase anything more substantial, which was a disappointment. Not being accustomed to eating fast food, I would willingly have paid for a steak or paella, but all suggestions were declined.
I also resented having to have my soft drinks in paper cups, even at main meal times.
Glasses only appeared after dark.
The Floral has several facilities, but the hotel itself occupies little space, so everything feels cramped. The facilities for children are very good.
We left the hotel wondering if the Oasis Floral was representative of all-inclusive hotels. Are they all full of selfish individuals, who reserve their seats, object to queueing for anything, and enjoy passing the day eating fast food and drinking ghastly locally produced spirits?
If it was, then we shall certainly avoid them in future.
Would I return to the Floral?
Definitely not.
Advice: Quiet resort to relax
Activities: El Medano beach is wonderful

the food is good if not basic, and the menu change daily, but some are repeated
but saying that there is plenty of choice and variety,
both in hot or cold meals, and plenty of fresh fruit.
snacks can be found all day from areas in the hotel
The rooms are cleaned daily , with towels changed at your request
bedding is change several times a week as are the towels
we found no problems with cleanliness in all areas
No air conditioning at the moment, just a fan in the room
best to leave balcony door open at night,
as there is little noise from around after midnight
but they are going to unstall this throughout the hotel
and some of it is in progress,
all drinks can be found here , mostly local but a good choice all round
there is a childrens club, of which most parents, spoke good of
a mini disco for small children from 8.30 - 9pm
entertainment not so good, unless you like jugglers or a magic show
the later is good though, bingo every night, just one game
spoken in several languages, which takes about half an hour. LOL
and several quizzes on the nights no acts are on
this is a small resort, with just a few small shops bars and restruant
if you want to visit the big resorts ,
you can travel on the bus which run hourly, from early morning to late at night
a good size pool, for both the young and old
or in the lido which is a short walk away

Submitted By: Mrs L DaviesEntertainment very good, there is bingo 4 times a week which is called out in several languages which wa called out by each fiesta rep in turn they are extremely hard working and very talented as they all have to speak at least 4 languages.
Be aware that the thomson reps will try and rip you off on the trips i priced up the trip to Loro Parque before arriving and was told through Thomson it was going to cost £90.00 but at the welcome meeting we were given pieces of paper with £110.00 on when i qeiried this with the reps they tried to make out i'd made the other price up, and because the Parque is on the other side of the island we had no alternative but to pay their "new made up price". They also tried to sell us the guided tour for 36 euros but on arrival at the parque the tour guides told us it was only 24 euros so where was the extra money going??????
The resort is very quiet with only a handful of bars, shops and restaurants around and not much beach to speak of but the hotel was lovely and we enjoyed our week there. Would definately reccommend the trip to Loro Parque as it is a fantastic day out, just ask the hotel to make you up a free packed lunch they are more than adequate and very tasty.

Advice: you have better hotel to choose
