Firstly they only throw your food away from around the pool area because the hotel can get charged for allowing you to bring food from else where to the pool as is the case with all hotels in kavos
I have stayed in this hotel twice and love it probably one of the only hotels in kavos that offers proper air con [not fans] although it is 40 euros a week it is a must as it makes it alot easier to get to sleep
The location is ideal you step out of the doors and you are on the strip in the center of the nightlife saying that it is really hard to get a good nights sleep but being 21 i wasnt arriving home till it was quiet away but i did see a few families around the hotel who i did feel sorry for
the hotel is basic as our all hotels in kavos
but the cleaner does come everyday except sunday and clean your room really well they even sort your stuff out in to piles as our room was a complete tip but every evening we would come home to it being tidy
the staff are really friendly as long as you are repsectful aris, yanis and ellie couldnt do more to help
you do get kicked out of your room at 12 but can keep it till 7 for 20 euros then you just sit down stairs with your bags till you get picked it
An ideal place for 18-30's not families though

This was the worst hotel my partner & I have ever stayed in.
Kavos was an absolute dive, we arrived at 5am to witness a lad layed out in the street in a pool of blood. The smell when we stepped off the coach is disgusting. A mixture of urine and sick.
The hotel itself is very central, right in the middle of the bars and clubs (and filth). We asked for a room change as by the 2nd night of not getting to sleep until 6am and they firstly refused & then tried to charge us to move rooms.
Going through our rep we finally got moved to a better room.
The breakfast is a joke, you get served a coffee a juice and 2 pieces of toast. Not quite what anyone expected, especially my fella.
The hotel charge their own guests to use the sun beds by the pool, and chuck away any food or drinks (even water) you may have with you at the pool so you have to buy everything from their bar.
We got vacated from our rooms by 12 midday even though we didn't get picked up to leave Kavos until 1am and they had no facilities for showering, changing or storing luggage and the manager went ballistic when we tried to use our friends bathroom that day as they were staying longer. They basically wanted to charge for an extra days stay even though that was your 7th day.
Saying that, Corfu is a beautiful island, just don’t set foot in Kavos (or the Lefkimi Hotel).
(Also our Cosmos rep was fab, can't fault him).

Firstly the hotel is very basic, but clean, beware there is no shower curtain or cubicle so you will need to put a beach towel on the floor.
Never actually got up in time for breakfast between 7-9am, but people said it wasn't bad. Family owned hotel, and all family were friendly enough.
Kavos itself is completely dead in the day, but comes alive around 11pm till 6-7am so some said. In the hotel you can definitely hear the music, even though I am a light sleeper I slept through all the noise when I was tired like everyone else did that we met.
I would say 95% if not 100% of the tourists are from the UK, and people who own and work in bars are from the UK also, so it’s not hard to get around as everyone speaks English quite well.
I would recommend Thomas Cook as they were well organised and didn't have any problems unlike we did with Thomson last month in Portugal.
It's an absolute must for ages 18-30 - partying all night and sunbathing all day.
