Beautiful resort area, apartments were fantastic, spacious and well-equipped. Cypress Pointe is ideally located within easy walking distance of a good variety of restaurants and is a short drive to the theme parks and about 40mins from Sanford Airport. The swimming pools... more

Accommodation was first class. First time at this particular site would definitely stay here again. Staff extremely helpful. We booked via holiday club and independently for flights. If staying in states you definitely need a car to get around - easy driving there.... more

About a mile from Disney's back door, these apartments take some beating. The location is superb and our apartment had 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Very well furnished and overlooking the large pool area the apartment had everything you need for a family holiday. The living... more

Great for Families
We stayed at Cypress Pointe in early June, 2003 and were very pleased. I can't believe some of the reviews I'm reading were of the same property. Given what we were paying (under $90 per nite, including taxes thru hotelkingdom) we halfway wondered if we had been had, but were thrilled to find the nicest place at which we had ever stayed. Our two bedroom condo was spacious and while the furniture was definitely low-end, not what I'd buy for my house, it was attractive and comfortable. My kids liked the big screen TV and loved the pools.... more
Great place!
I didn't know what to expect after reading some of the reports on this resort but I would have to say it's the nicest place I've stayed whilst on holiday. It was very clean, clean towels every day and no pressure to attend their sales presentation as it is a time share location. We stayed 16-31 Dec 2003 at the Grandvillas Phase II and would choose to stay there next time we go to Orlando. The only negative comment I can make is that the block we stayed in had a very noisy boiler just below our room - but even then it wasn't on all the time.... more
Had a great time
Stayed at Cypress Pointe 6-13 December 2003. Stayed in Phase II - Sunterra. Beautiful apartment, fabulous resort; staff excellent. My husband is disabled and we found it very easy to get around the resort with the wheelchair. Also found a number of restaurants and shops within easy walking distance. Most of our week was spent at Disney and shopping malls but we did manage one swim and a session in the spa immediately behind our apartment block. Can heartily recommend the two shops on the resort and found the takeaway pizzas etc to be very good.
helpful friendly staff (NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
a group of us all travel agents booked a 2 bed and a 3 bed condo for 4 nights to finish of our holiday as we had just got off a cruise.we had requested rooms togeather but on arrival had i room in phase 1 that was very shabby in one of which the 2 single beds in one dark and depressing room with no window were nothing more than camp beds with a broken leg!!!! rusty taps in bathroom tired carpets and furniture not to the 4* standard we were lead to beleive the two bed in phase 2 was better but still a bit rough round the edges. we expressed... more
Good reviews must be fake!
Having read all the good reviews on here I decided to book my holiday at Cypress Pointe. What a MISTAKE! Whoever wrote those good reviews must be used to appalling accomodations or they are just all fake. Dirty, Smelly, Unfriendly and SO noisy. Be warned, do not be tricked to stay here!
Would never stay there again
Just returned back..stay was November 16-19 and were in phase 1, building 8. This hotel/resort is more like an apartment complex...my FIRST thought at walking to our room was 'shabby exterior'. rusty railings, dirty steps. The room itself was 'ok'. Big screen tv nice but old...screened in porch was TINY and who wants to sit on it and look at the parking lot (virtually the only thing available at this resort) or the side of the giant building next to you? VERY LITTLE amount of trees or grounds area) Nice appliances, washer dryer, microwave... more
Change the Management
Stayed at Cypress Pointe Phase 1 between 15th to 22nd November. Smelly apartment, very late check in 5.30pm promised 4pm.Lied to regards why late. Manager totally unhelpful, arrogant, bully and gave me a public verbal thrashing for asking to see him. Check in staff incapable of making decisions, volcano pool closed all week we were promised 3 days, there was no apology. Sales staff lied to us when granting a later check out (12pm) this never materilaised and manager (same as above) wanted $250 for the overtime. Overall this was a disaster... more
Smelly Place
Stayed at Cypress Pointe Grande Villas first week of November 2003 and it was horrible. The one bedroom was really small. The hot water in the tub didn't work. The jacuzzi was never hot, it was actually really, really cold and the room was smelly of mildew that it made be nauseous. I asked to get a room change which I got but it still stunk really bad. I bought air freshener and still couldn't get rid of the smell. Would never stay there again!
pleasently Pleased.
Stayed SEPT.14-to Sept 21 2003. Read the previous reviews- Don't get scared. We stayed in the Phase II. 3 Bedrooms - perfect. Going there again.
Not a resort I would recommend
Just returned from Orlando on 2nd November.Stayed at Cypress Pointe for 5 nights and was disappointed at the accomodation.Who"s idea was it to put a sofa in the kitchen? There was also a faint smell of dampness in the bedroom, probably due to the fact that the bath and shower were not enclosed. We tried to get a safe key at reception----for which there is a charge---but after 3 attempts we gave up.We have been going to Orlando for 13 years and this resort was not one I would advise anyone to stay at.
