Flamingo Hotel

I went to this hotel towards end of september 2009 it was very quiet and the staff seemed to think that as they didn't have many customers they didn't need to worry about looking after the ones they did have. They hadn't cleaned the pool in months, in all the pictures of the hotel the water is clean and blue but for the whole ten days we were there the water was green and murky and by murky I mean there could have been a body at the bottom of the pool and you wouldn't of known it was there!
Breakfast wasn't great limited choice for a buffet breakfast. Coffee machine and toaster were not always plugged in and ready to use and on the last 2 days they didn't even provide a buffet they just brought out a plate of what they had.
We booked a double room but our room was twin, when we complained they told us they only have twin rooms in the hotel.
Gym was shut,pool bar was shut, internet room was being used as a store cupboard the hotel shop was shut.
We did only pay 162 Euro for 9 nights bed and breakfast for 2 of us which we thought was a bargain but with all the facilities out of use it wasnt really a bargain.
Oh and one last point on a slightly more serious note, the bathroom was a death trap. The shower cubicle leaked all over the rest of the bathroom floor on first morning and due to there being only ceramic tiles as I stepped from the shower I slipped luckily my head just missed the toilet bowel as I fell. For rest of holiday we had to use towels on the floor to step on as we got out of shower.
Maybe this place is better in peak season but i'm not willing to find ou!
