Banthai Beach Resort & Spa

i stayed at this hotel for 8 days in July and am unsure why it is receiving bad feedback. It is a great hotel however of course it is not going to suit everybody... its a 3 1/2 star which is very reasonably priced!! It appears that the people leaving these reviews are blaimng the hotel for their wrong choice. I am unsure whether or not these people booked the hotel themselves on the internet, however if this is the case i would suggest that they research their hotel choices in further detail in the future or invest in the... more

I don't know what the complaints were about this hotel. It provides fantastic entertainment, The staff were always freindly to those who were nice to them. Maybe if you are not so nice to staff you'll find they aren't so nice in return. And some research before your holiday is good. Ban Thai is in the middle of the youth and party people area. Relaxtion and quiet is available up on the next beach. The staff are crazy and fun. So if you're after a good time and crazy fun stay at the Ban Thai.

My stay at banthai Beach Resort and Spa was absolutely terrible. The hotel is situated on a very noisy district and the hotel facilities ( night club, bars etc. ) contribute to that discomfort. Well the first impression is good, but some minutes after you get a better idea of the hotel. When I first visited the bathroom I completely changed my mind. Unfortunatelly i didnt have nice time in this place. When you first visit this hotel it is true that its minimal decoration and the other facilities gives you a nice first touch..but all the bad sory happened next........from where should i start... 1/the worst,noisy area,you can not sleep before 2 oclock at night cause there is an open music show few meters from the rooms which is property of the hotel 2/they offer us a free drink to show us how special we are (the brochure said)..at last we order a special cocktail cost about 140... more

I think many people would think that the Banthai Beach Resort is in a great location, but I'm not one of them. I was surprised by the Patong beach area. I had read that the area is very "touristy" and full or restaurants and clubs, but I didn't think it would be vendors trying to sell us anything and everything - non-stop. The pools at the Banthai are wonderful - they were quiet, very nicely designed and had areas with jacuzzi type jets. There were also plenty of deck chairs and two swim-up bars. Banthai beach resort , evrything is so impressive!! when first i walked into the lobby , the exterior and the lobby was so stylish & minimalist .. and when the hotel staff explained to me everything , she was so nice .. and yes she was kneeled too ! when first i got into the room , it was so nice , and the view of swimming ppol was so good . i also loved the location it is the most centered hotel in Patong beach , the best location and the best hotel with the best value you can ever get in the Phuket , i believe ! just walk out of your door... more

Excellent resort. Very clean, very fucnctional, extremely central and has all facilities a stone throw away - The beach, Mc Donalds, Great bar/restaurant with live music, bank, a great value supermarket etc etc etc. The 2 swimming pools are excellent too. Not merely ornamental to add to the specs of the hotel, the pool can actually be used for serious swimming. Great shallow area for kids with slides into the pool.

My boyfriend and I have just returned from Phuket this week.We stayed in Banthai Beach Resort & Spa from the 14 to 18 June 2006.We stayed in room 1114 which is a Deluxe Pool Room.This was or third visit to Phuket and we have stayed in different hotels for each of our visit. And guess what...Banthai Beach Resort & Spa was the BEST hotel I`ve ever stayed in Phuket! We have just retuned from Phuket and had a fantastic stay, room by the pool worth the upgrade, very stylish, staff very helpful and polite, good breakfast, two lovely swimming pools and swim up bar. Highly recommended. Anne & Brian UK

I stayed at this hotel for a week and was very impressed. It is in a perfect location on a great island. It is across the street from the beach and on the main street in town. Everything is near including a Starbucks and Hagen Daas Ice cream which are 100 feet away. It has great breakfast and beautiful rooms with a swim up bar. I would highly recommend it as a solid 4 star resort.
