Andaman Seaview Hotel

I had a limited choice of hotel available as I booked late (but prefer that).The Andaman was away from Patong (good) and as close to the beach as i could find. Some reviews previously state it is a 5 minute walk to the beach.......................they must walk very slowly!..I'd say 1 minute strolling The situation is very good, right opposite a lovely stretch of sand and close to the bars and eateries without subject to noise. As a Travel Agent, I have stayed in many a hotel in my years, and the Andaman Seaview in Karon, was truly an icredible experience. It was awesome to stay in a "truly Thai style" hotel, with wonderful staff that really showed the hospitality that Thailand is famous for. There isn't anything that is too much trouble for them, and they will do everything they can to make your stay a good one. Great 4 star hotel. Staff very attentive and helpful. In a quiet location on Karon beach, but within easy walking distance of the beach, and local shops, bars etc. This year 2007 will be our 4th stay here.

We where orginally booked in to stay the Horizon Beach resort, but due to building works going on they offered to us that we could stay at another resort the andaman seaview and they would give us a seaview room at that property and a free massage each and 2 free meals. So went at looked at hotel and loved the look of it and stayed there. We had 10 wonderful days at the resort. We stayed at The Andaman Seaview Hotel over the New Year period and were very happy with the friendliness of the staff and the cleanliness of the hotel overall. The breakfasts were very good and there was plenty to chose from. The staff, from reception to the cleaners were always helpful and friendly and there was always a happy greeting from everyone of them. We stayed in this hotel from 20th June - 1st July. Firstly I chose this hotel as I don`t like big impersonal resorts and this one only has 161 rooms. We had a swift checkin in with cold drinks and towels to revive us .We had a delux room on the 4th floor. It was what the americans call a jnr suite. It was very big with a living room with sofa 2 armchairs 2 side table and a big tv. We stayed at this hotel for 11 nights and found it to be an extremely pleasant experience. The hotel is at the quiet end of Karon beach but has plenty of bars shops etc within 5 mins walk, the beach is just a 1 minute stroll from the front entrance. The rooms are large and kept to a good clean standard, the breakfast is very good with all tastes catered for and the food at the evening theme nights in the restaurant is good quality. The only slight downside is the small pool.

Everything about this hotel was superb; staff, rooms, food, pool. Best to try and find a good rate online as walk in rates are a little pricey.

I thought this was a charming hotel. The staff could not do enough to make our stay a good experience.When we arrived and were sitting down in reception a member of staff appeared with cold towels and fruit juice. I did not hear one complaint from any of the guests only praise for the hotel. It is not large which is part of its charm. The hotel is well located and easy walking to shops , bars etc. We enjoyed the pool area and the actual pool itself which is shaped like a canal. I would recommend this hotel without hesitation.

A great hotel, the things I liked about it most was: 1)it's postioning (even though officially in Karon, the shops and restaurants of Kata are nearer) 2) The food was FANTASTIC (a good mix of thai and european of v high standard) 3) Staff were lovely (exactly the reason Thailand is known as land of smiles) For the money I paid (I booked it through a company called Q Holidays) I can't really fault this hotel !
