" Obviously, going to Copenhagen in... "

Obviously, going to Copenhagen in January, you have to understand that it is going to be extremely cold. However, this only adds to the charm of the place - being able to go for a stroll along the bank of the frozen river in the snow made it all the more romantic.
The only downside of going at this time of the year is the Tivoli Gardens is shut, however, there was lots of other things to do and loads of options for day trips out with Copenhagen itself. Staff at the tourist information centre were very helpful.
Food and drinks were unsurprisingly expensive but of good quality. Accommodation was very comfortable.
In summary, a great place for a short break.

" Copenhagen is truly a beautiful... "

Copenhagen is truly a beautiful place, with stunning architecture and very friendly people. My girlfriend and I were lucky enough to sample the delights of this city in May when we got a weekend package on lastminute.com. We stayed in the luxurious Marriott hotel located on the river, only 10 minutes from the city centre. There you can take a bus, taxi or water ferry into town. We also took a visit to the Carlsberg factory and spent time in some of the local eateries and bars. Overall a wonderful place that we both agree is well worth another visit.

Location wise it is around a 5 minute walk from the train station, you can get a train direct from the airport into central Copenhagen. The hotel is also a 5-10 minute walk from Tivoli gardens, and to numerous restaurants and bars.
Internally the hotel is easy on the eye, the staff are friendly, and welcoming, I have been a few times now, and am greeted as an old friend, which is very nice.
The rooms are pretty standard as are most Marriott rooms, but you either get an amazing view of the city or over the water.
The breakfast's are very tempting, and the choice of food is quite outstanding, many types of meats, fruit, breads etc, all buffet style but constantly renewed.
The bar offers bar snacks in the evening should you know what the fuss of a sit down meal, they do gorgeous pizzas and have a wide selection of beers and drinks.
I was in there once when a guest asked for a particular brand of drink, they did not have this brand but then went onto ask how long the guest was staying and they would have the drink by a couple of days later.
I was very impressed the lengths they were prepared to go to, for me, going that bit further and being that bit friendly makes a good hotel a 'special' hotel.
