Unable to describe how fantastic this hotel was. Me ( 20 ) and my friend ( 21 ) visited the Serpina in May 2008. The weather was amazing and the staff were even better. It was such a friendly atmosphere, they took care of us and the food was excellent. Also waking distance from everything but also far enough away for a quite night. PERFECT
The roos were decent size what you would accept from a hotel. Very clean and maintained well. The bar was always stock with veriaty or drinks, something for everyone. There was plenty of seats and sun loungers for everyone.
It was like a home from home.

My wife and I picked this hotel after seeing a review on another site. We then viewed the hotel web-site then booked the holiday through the Thomson web-site. What a brilliant holiday this was.
The hotel did not look too good from the angle the coach approached it but what a surprise as we walked to the reception desk. Right from the point of booking in we were looked after so well. Our cases were taken up to our rooms by the night staff, which were alert and smiling.
Our rooms overlooked the lovely pool and the room, though a little small, was quite enough for the two of us. It had the thickest mattresses we have ever seen and the en=suite bathroom had a very nice shower cubicle. A hair drier was also provided. The rest of the furnishing was in brand new order. Satellite television and a telephone also in the room.
Now to the wonderful hotel staff. From the manager, Ali, the whole team were the most friendly, efficient, caring people we had ever encountered. We are both in our 70s and are very well travelled but these young people were very special indeed. Nothing was too much trouble for them and they definitely enjoyed their work. They were staff entertainment nights once per week and the lads from the bar and restaurants did folk dancing, line dancing and some very funny games. These we accompanied by some great music provided by Ali on the Taz, the hairdresser on the accordion, a maintenance man on guitar and the lovely guy from reception on a Turkish drum. They could have made a living as musicians, they were that good.
We wanted for nothing and are already planning a return visit for next September. Indeed this may be our permanent September holiday venue. Our grateful thanks to our Thomsons Rep, Emma, for the way she arranged our departure home and medical care for my wife after a bad fall going towards our departure coach.
As I have said this was our best holiday ever. Thank you lads and lasses from the Serpina. Dave baba.

Both I and my husband have just returned from a 2 week holiday staying at the hotel Serpina.
We had been travelling abroad for 37 years and we have never in all that time had to complain about our hotel accommodation, this time it was not the case.
Hotel Serpina was very dirty, the floors were not cleaned the whole time we were there, and I put my flip flops on when getting out of the shower as my feet used to be black by the time I had walked into the bedroom. The towels were rarely changed, we spoke to several couples who were of the same opinion, and one of them said they only had their towels changed once in 2 weeks.
The food was awful, with no choice for your main meal, in fact there was only one choice, and that was served to you by Ozzy, who was very nice person. If you like meatballs The Serpina is the place to go.
The type of people suited to Serpina is without a doubt are teenagers; they hang around the staff and the staff around them. The noise level was intolerable, The last 3 nights of our holiday, we had around a couple of hours of hours of sleep, due to total inconsideration of staff and people shouting and dragging armchairs around.
They also had music playing until one night about 4am I went down in my night and complained, they did turn the music down but continued being loud. The next night it was back to normal, but we were leaving the next day so we just put up with it.
Hotel Serpina is so mean spirited, they do not allow you to take any food or drinks into the hotel, can understand their objection to food, but bearing in mind it was in the 40's and you need to keep yourself hydrated I thought it was really mean not to allow you to take a bottle of water to your room.
We would never never go to this hotel again.

This was one of the best holidays that I have ever had.
The accommodation itself was clean tidy and worth a lot more than the three stars that it had been given. There was plenty of space in the rooms, with clean and tidy facilities. The cleaner came every day and dealt with any mess that there was.
The facilities in the hotel were a pool, hairdressers, on-site doctor, bar and restaurant. These were constantly of high standard, and each member of staff would help with anything.
The food was amazing, with special deals on every night, and a Turkish night which was fantastic and I would advise anyone to watch it.
The bar staff could be considered as one of the highlights of the holiday. Each one was friendly, up for a laugh and made the holiday a fun time both day and night. They appealed to young and old couples, and families and brought more sunshine and happiness to the holiday.
Serpina hotel is an amazing place, in a good resort with plenty of activities to do.

Me and my boyfriend (19 n 21) went to Turkey last July for two weeks and stayed in the Serpina Hotel, we can’t wait to go back this year in June, the best holiday ever, everyone was so nice!
He's staying in the Serpina again this year with his mate and unfortunately when me and my mate went to book online the Serpina had gone, I’d say it was the nicest cleanest hotel in Gumbet as we went to visit the hotel/apartments that we nearly went for, not as nice at all! I was gutted but me and Em are only 5 mins up the road at the Jasmin beach, but we will defo be staying round the Serpina pool most days, they put games on during the day, volleyball, sack races round the pool bit dangerous I got pushed in with a sack around my legs, fun though. At night they do Turkish nights, bbq's and the staff are just brill, so friendly.
We booked a few excursions, do not book with your rep we definitely wont be this time as they are a lot more expensive. Our boat trip was not as good as our mates that we met there as they got to do a lot more things e.g. mud baths, turtle beach, all we did was jump in the sea where there were jellyfish and stopped off at stinky camel beach, it didn’t help as I was extremely ill! Don’t have a Chinese in Turkey.
Me and my boyfriend got a speed boat out, it was fun, we asked the man were we could go up to, he just said 'don’t leave Turkey!'. It was really cheap as we booked with a Turk on the street and we had it for hours. We also got an excursion to the water park with our rep, the slides were mad I only went on a few they looked so dangerous they were just vertical, there weren’t that many but we still had fun.
We had also booked an excursion to Halikarnas, we couldn’t wait to go, 'the biggest open air night club in Europe, overlooking the sea'. We paid £22 this was just to get in and because we had booked with our rep we went on a pub crawl as well. We were quite disappointed the drinks were extremely expensive at about a fiver for vodka n coke in a little plastic party cup. The best bit is all the shows they do on stage while you’re having a boogie and the view is lovely. The music was awful; our rep 'forgot' to tell us when we booked it for Saturday that it was a Turkish night, no English music at all!
Bar Street is great, just a short walk from the hotel, they love playing RnB though. There are so many bars to choose from. The hotels along the beach have hammocks, bean bags and big cushions to chill on. We even had a naked swim at 3am at one of the apartment’s pools, the one with glass sides. You can just go and swim in any bar pool you want during the day, at night it was just a one off!
At night there are little boys wondering about trying to sell roses, they also say rude things, just try and ignore them, they give you a rose and put a bracelet on you saying 'free for you', but they soon come running for money. They usually hassle younger people.
I hated sunbathing I got so bored and it was just too hot, 45 degrees one day, so we went out to Bodrum on the dolmus (little bus thing). It was lovely by the harbour, we found a bar where they sold Sangria! Mmmmmmmmm.
Food at Cafe Columbia is gorgeous, the steaks are huge they come on sizzling platters, really cheap £17.50 for 2 steaks, a bottle of wine and 2 Efes beers oh and they give you free garlic bread, the bread in Turkey is so nice. Mistrel is nice as well but we got bit to death by midges under the tables, we were sat there for about 3hrs though.
Do not have a Chinese, well not where we went, can’t remember the name wasn’t the red dragon, the man is really annoying there. A young lad brought our main meal out when we hadn’t finished our starter there were flies buzzing round it and then it was obviously just sat somewhere, we were so ill in the morning, we had to go on that boat, I was being sick in the cabin all day playing with a puppy which was ill as well and Legh had the sh*ts.
I fell to sleep though near the end of it in the cool sea breeze, when I woke up I felt fine. They made us some food and gave us Turkish tea. Go to the Serpina Hotel, you will love it, its not just for the young, suitable for any ages, when we first got there 11.00pm we were a bit worried as everyone around the bar looked about 60, in the morning though there were a lot more people our age.

We stayed at this hotel for a week and that was long enough. Most of the people we spoke to were staying there for a fortnight but I am glad we didn't. When we arrived at 3am after spending most of the day travelling some of the hotel staff did help us in with our bags and took them to our room. When we entered our room it was quite nice but very very hot. I asked one of the staff how to use the air conditioning, he went to a cupboard and took the fuse out and it went off. We thought he was coming back but he didn't. We then asked at the reception and they said if we wanted airconditioning we would have to pay 55 lire a week, so we did because it was so hot in the room. The food has not got much taste. If you like boiled eggs or salad for breakfast you will be ok. The food in the evening wasn't much better, it was very bland and very watery. It's meatballs and pasta with everything. They played techno music round the pool every day and it was quite loud, we just wanted to relax and have a bit of peace but you won't get it here. I must say the staff are very friendly but keep track of anything you have from the bar, if you don't pay as you go they tend to add extra's on. Also you can't take drink or food into your room from outside, and if you put anything in the mini bar to keep cold they chuck it out. We won't be coming back to this hotel, we was quite glad to get home.
