La Bisaccia Hotel

We stayed half board for 2 weeks at this hotel and were in the Residence section. The room was very spacious with a big balcony and a wonderful view across the bay. The bathroom could do with refurbishment and the shower area was very small. This however pales into insignificance when compared to the rest of the hotel. Both the reception and restaurant staff were very helpful and struck an excellent balance between being friendly and yet remained professional and dedicated in giving good service. I liked the hotel I have Stayed in other hotels within Sardinia but this had the nicest feel. The hotel was not the most modern of hotels but had the Italian feel. I generally stay in 5* hotels world wide but they sometimes lose that special touch this hotel did not. This hotel has a good location with large pretty gardens and lovely views across the bay towards Caprera and Maddelena beyond. The concierge and restaurant staff are extremely helpful and efficient with nothing appearing to be too much trouble to insure your stay is satisfactory. We went to Italy for our honeymoon, with a few days in Sorrento and Venice before chilling out in Sardinia. We deliberately chose somewhere that would be quiet after all the sightseeing and jostling with other tourists in Sorrento and Venice. The hotel is very clean, spacious and has good facilities. My husband and I went here on our honeymoon. My husband is Italian, so his family in Milan booked the hotel for us. We were a little scared at first because hotels in Italy aren't like hotels in the US. We didn't know what to expect. But it beat all our expectations.. and them some. This place is amazing!! We stayed at La Bisaccia Hotel for a week in June on the basis of the reviews below and was a little disappointed with it. Firstly the air con, it wasn't working in our room but when we mentioned it to reception they just shrugged their shoulders and said it was broken. To be honest the hotel decor including the rooms looks dated and a little shabby and not quite what you would expect from a 4 star hotel. The pool didn't look like it had been cleaned for a while. My husband and I returned last night from a weeks stay at La Bisaccia. We chose this hotel based on the glowing reviews posted on this site.We were not disappointed! La Bisaccia consists of 2 parts,the main hotel and a "residence" block. The price was @. £200 less for the residence as no guarantee of a sea view or balcony, but the agents assured us that with the exception of this, the accomodation was of the same standard. The hotel was paradise. I couldn't fault it in any way. It is by far the best we have ever stayed in which is why i had to write this review! The rooms were spacious and beautifully decorated. The hotel is half board and the restaurant is more than we could have dreamed of. We ate a four course meal ordered from a menu every night, plus bread and a salad bar. We stayed here last year and have just rebooked for this year. The hotel is expensive but if you decide to stay here i'm sure you'll think it's worth every penny too! There are 2 main parts to the hotel: the central building and the residence - which are rooms just set away from the main building (about a minute walk).
