We spent a week but wished we had booked for longer. The apartments were clean and furnished in the typical greek style. Towels were changed regularly but the sheets only weekly. Air con was extra but it was very effective., The pool area was alwayd clean and tidy and pleanty of beds and brollys. Well stocked supermarket with all you needed and not overpriced. The taverna was good value and the food was excellent quality, we had 2 teenage boys with us and the "full english" breakfast kept them satisfied until lunch! Evening meals were taken at the usual leisurely pace and there was often a "special" at a slightly reduced rate. The cost of meals for 5 was between 50e to 80e depending on your choice and there was a good selection of choice. Close to the beach (about a 10 min walk) A lovely peaceful and relaxing time was had by all......even the teenagers!!!

We stayed at Thanos Studios last week and the place was perfect!
Stavros and his wife Zoe are very friendly and helpful.
Loved their place and i will go back soon

Just back from Thanos Studios where we have had a fantastic week. The studios are basic and equipment for self catering is limited but isn't that what Greek SC is like.The rooms were kept very clean and towels and linen were changed during the week, the cleaner was got a well deserved tip.
The bus service is excellent in Skiathos and if you cant get a bus there you can either walk because the island isn't very big or you can get a taxi but make sure you haggle for the price before you go. We were picked up by a taxi at the bus stop and haggled for the same price as the bus, it seems that if the taxi is empty and pointing in the direction you want to go then they will take your money, bargain!
Stavros and family at Thanos are really friendly and very helpful we ate there twice and their food is good and when we asked if we could stay in our rooms on transfer day it wasn't a problem, we had our room until we left.
If you want a good meal go to Ambrosia opposite bus stop 19 who were very friendly and the food was superb, ones to avoid would be the Troulos Bay Hotel who were rude and any on the beach front who were dirty and the food was poor quality though the view was to die for.
For a cheap boat trip try a 10 euros return to Tsougaria, the boat left at 10am left us on an idylic beach with one tiny taverna (a bit pricey) and picked us up at 5pm. The snorkelling was amazing and we saw dolphins and the beach is a stunner.
Overall we would go back here tomorrow and will definitely return.

Thanos Studios are set in pleasant and well maintained gardens of trees and colourful plants and shrubs. There is a good sized pool with good quality sunbeds and parasols around its edges.
There is a compact but well stocked shop on site and a bar/restaurant all apparently open during waking hours.
Its location is fairly good, Troulos beach (not tested) a 10-15 minute walk away and a bus stop quite close by for access to the southern beaches and Skiothos Town.
The studios themselves are basic, minimally furnished with an adequately sized kitchen area and a small shower room and loo. Each studio also has its private terrace, some with a couple of chairs and a small table. The studios were cleaned most days with a change of towels and sheets changed once in the week.
After the first night, we asked for extra pillows and they were provided for the second night onwards.
However, there were some downsides to the week and an unpleasant end to it.
The kitchen itself is extremely poorly equipped. Though a fridge, oven/hob is provided with two pans, the tools for preparing and cooking food were completely inadequate and it was just as well that we had prepared for this and brought some of our own basic kitchen tools.
At the time of our visit the “extras” were charged for a week: Television 20 euros, air conditioning 35 euros and the room safe 15 euros.
If kids use the pool early in the morning, you are likely to hear them playing around the pool area so don’t bank on a peaceful lie in.
On the day before we left, we asked to extend our room until 1pm, one hour beyond check out time. We were refused, and asked if instead a shower would be available. This request needed overnight consideration and we were offered the use of a shower before our 2pm departure.
At 11am, an hour before the officially posted check out time in our room, cleaning staff and owner were pacing outside of our studio and staring in at us while passing. By 11.15am, whilst preparing our lunch to take with us, the owner marched into the room, tapped her (absent) wristwatch, pointed to the door, spoke some Greek, disconnected the fridge from the power supply, then started to pull off the bedsheets. Our protests that we had another 45 minutes until check out, and an invitation for her to view the official notice on the bathroom door, cut no ice and she insisted that we vacated the room. She also objected to us taking our bathroom towels to use for our shower. This was a first in a lifetime experience!

Just come back from 1 weeks stay at Thanos apartments. Best holiday ever, lovely relaxing place and very friendly family. Wish we had stayed for two weeks. Already thinking about booking again for next year. Lovely beaches close by and excellent tavarnas. Check out Christakis sports bar if looking for warm, friendly entertainment in the evening the Greek night is a must. Couldnt fault anything about Toulos. Loved going into Skiathos at night for a fantastic meal and wondering around the shops.

Great hosts, Ideal location perfect weather too...
Short stroll to beach or bus stop, this resort is perfect for anyone wanting a quiet break in the sun a few bars and tavernas to choose from, but buses / taxis to skiathos are available if you need more.
The accommodation is fine, TV and air conditioning can be paid for when there, but we didn't bother, cleaned every day. The owners take care of everyone, very friendly, there's a supermarket on the complex as well as a bar/taverna. The pool, and kids pool are popular but never too busy to get a space, would happily go back there again

just returned from a one week holiday in skiathos staying at the thanos studios where me and my family where made very welcome. the studios are set in nice gardens surrounded by palm trees and weeping willows amidst two pools which one of them being ideal for small children. the rooms are basic but very tidy and the staff are friendly is a small shop on site which is use full and also there is the sunrise taverna on site which serves some nice food and some ice cold beer .koukounaries beach is well worth a visit get there by using the bus service stopping at number 26 and the nearest bus stop for thanos studios is number 20 outside a mini market.

Stayed at thanos apts the first week in june with my mum brother and nana.
The weather was lovely , and the apts, Pool and surroundings were all clean and well looked after.The pool was always very quiet and there was no rush for sun beds.
The beach was only a short walk away and was lovely no seaweed or jellyfish.The bus service is regular and easy to use.
We ate at several tavernas all were good and not to expensive the best one being opposite the villa rosa.If you go you must try the fried zucchini and mussaka.
We would definately go back to the thanos apts .Don't expect 5 star but basic clean accomadation you will definetly get.

Have just enjoyed a relaxing 2 weeks at Thanos and would thoroughly recommend it to families and couples alike. The family who run the apartments are very helpful and will go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable-they made a lot of fuss of our children, who adored them. The accomodation was simple and very clean and the taverna served a good selection of food. There were plenty of sunbeds and the pool was quiet during the day, although as it was half term things livened up a bit later in the afternoon with lilo fights!! Its only a 10 min stroll to the beach and Troulos has plenty of tavernas-The Captains table and Yamas were particularly nice. Even though we try a different island each holiday it was so nice that it would be very, very easy to just book up here again!!!

Just got back from staying at Thanos Apartments and it was wonderful, really peaceful and relaxing, owner and family very friendly, the whole complex is well looked after and the cleaners came every day except Wednesday, nice pool and not too far from the beach or the main road where you can get a bus to other beaches and into Skiathos town. Would love to go back again
