Thanos Studios & Apartments

We only just discovered this review site and hope we're not too late to post our views for 2007. I took my wife and two children on a surprise half term break in May this year. Having never been to Greece we weren't sure what to expect but what a delight. We were very fortunate to have booked in to Thanos apartments and couldn't have been more delighted.
The accomodation was (as stated previously) basic but exceptionally clean. The location absolutely perfect, tranquil yet only a short walk to the local beaches. Not forgetting the bus stops - you must travel on the buses. They are regular, clean and very very friendly. Our undoubted thanks however must go to Stavros and his family. A warmer welcome we couldn't have wished for. We will definitely return. Much like one of Stavros's 'friends' with who he was completely besotted. We never found out her name but she was there every day and evening (once the rush had died down). She smiled and she shone and my girls thought she was just beautiful.
If it's good enough for this lady year in year out then it's good enough for us. We're thinking of two weeks next year and look forward to seeing other Skiathos converts there. Happy new year from the Hearne family!

Stayed at Thanos Apartments for a week with my mother and husband. The owners Stavros and his family are very friendly and welcoming. They are set in a lovely setting and are only a few minutes’ walk from Troulos Beach.
The apartments are basic but very clean. The only moan is that they could have done with bigger pillows and better towels.
The pool area is a sun trap and was tranquil.
We eat at the Sunrise Taverna several times and can highly recommend the food and service.
Troulos itself is quiet and tranquil and it is easy to get around by local bus should you want to go into Skiathos town or around the island.
All in all a truly relaxing holiday and we shall certainly return to Skiathos and Thanos Studios in the near future.

All I can say is what a nice place. If you want to chill out and love Greece this is the place to go. Stavros and his family are really nice, not forgetting Dan, Maria and Vayros (I hope I've spelt that right). Really good people and really good fun.
The apartments are excellent and are situated in a truly beautiful setting - We didn't move too far away! Food - Excellent, Apartments - Excellent, The hosts - Excellent and the wine..........!!! Lovely!
Can't recommend the the Thanos Studios highly enough.
We were a party of seven ranging from 19 to 50 and all had wished they'd stayed for two weeks instead of one.

My husband and I stayed here for one week (what a shame - it should have been two). What a great place. The family were friendly and helpful.
The accommodation although basic was clean and roomy. The motto on the board when we arrived was "No quizzes, no karaoke, no bingo, no loud music - welcome to Greece!". WONDERFUL! It was just what we wanted.
This resort is not for those who wish to be entertained - you have to make your own entertainment. It is quiet and just the place to relax after the hustle and bustle of work and dashing into cities.
The beaches around and about are clean, the water is warm and the sun beds are not over priced. It is about a ten minute walk down a part tarmac/part sandy track but quite easy to negotiate.
We will definitely visit again, it was much better than the usual Greek islands where commercialism has overtaken the feel of Greece.

We stayed at Thanos apartments with Kosmar in a 2 bedroom apartment. Troulos great resort for families, lovely beach and plenty of tavernas. Everything you need is on site at Thanos, nice pool, supermarket, taverna - you don't need to go anywhere else! Beach an easy walk away, as was bus stop for Skiathos town - quite an experience at busy times!
The apartment we had was basic but always clean. Stavros the owner and his family are very friendly and helpful, Dan the barman is fab - cold beer glasses always ready and lethal cocktails!! (don't drink on empty stomach!) just don't believe a word he says. Our holiday wouldn't have been nearly so much fun without Dan keeping us entertained every evening- it became our local away from home.
We had a very lazy holiday and stayed around the resort, will definitely hire a jeep next time and see the rest of this lovely island. I would recommend it to anyone who wants a relaxing beach holiday.

My wife & I were really pleased with our choice of staying at Thanos. We had an excellent apartment Stavros & his family were perfect hosts. Dan the Kosmar rep was Tops! Easy getting around the Island (the bus service a must!) What we managed to see of the island & its beaches looked superb. We were all set for one of our best holidays for ages.
But hey S**t Happens!
Slight problem wife slipped on the beach & broke her leg it was the end of our third day of 14! We had to return to the UK.

So whoever you are "Take care!" At least we have a reason to return to Skiathos & stay at Thanos with Kosmar. If you choose to go here I am sure you will have a great time.
