What a fantastic place! The apartments are spotless and well equipped and the staff are very friendly and helpful (they even help you read the Spanish cooking instructions on food!).
The location was wonderful, right on the beach and the pictures are exactly how it looks. The views across to lobos and Lanzarote are breathtaking.
It is a 25 minute walk either on the road (turn right out of front of apartments) or beach (turn left out of back) into town and only 2.50 - 3 euros for a taxi. Sand dunes are in the opposite direction and about 20 minutes walk; they are well worth a visit.
We there in high season and most afternoons we had the pool to ourselves, our 7 year old son loved it! We had a relaxing and enjoyable holiday at Las Gaviotas and will be back there soon!

I would give this holiday 9/10. Great value for money.
The apartments were really nice and the staff were really helpful.
The beach is beautiful and 2 min from your apartment. If you like trips the buses are very regular and very cheap. Lots to do for the kids except one thing, not enough entertainment for them at night.
Lots of restaurants but the one bar/restaurants that you were really made welcome was JP, the best.
I would recommend it to anyone it’s a family run business and the staff are really nice and the food is really good and very reasonable.

Situated right on the beach with some stunning views, this accommodation is incredible value for money. The rooms, pool area and grounds are spotlessly clean, and there is a small snack bar attached who serve some good food which includes authentic tapas, again very reasonably priced.
The stretch of beach directly behind is quite rocky, but take a short walk to the right or left and you'll find some sandier spots and secluded coves. Although described as a hostel, this is more a budget apartment rather than a youth hostel or backpackers, so there's no shared kitchen or bathroom facilities, everything is in your own apartment. There was a real mix of people there including young singles, families and older couples.
The place has a laidback, easy atmosphere and the staff are very nice and hospitable. We had some problems with our luggage and they couldn't do enough to help us sort things out with the airline. Corralejo town is about 20-25 minutes walk along the road or if you prefer, along the beach. By taxi, the journey costs less than 3 euros.
This place is perfect for anyone looking for cheap but very nice accommodation, who would prefer to be slightly away from the more touristy town centre and packed beaches. I would definitely go back.

Good basic clean apartments with a small circular pool area, right next to the sea. (but the tide goes out some way, exposing rock) Towels and tea towels are provided.
Beware of the marble floors which, if you are in an upstairs room magnify any sound that is made and then echoes into the apartment downstairs. (We had a family with a baby above us, who liked to get up at 5am and proceed to move furniture around! Well that’s what it sounded like to us anyway).
It’s about a 30 minute stroll into town along flat roads, or half as long again to stagger back!! In the opposite direction, its about a 20 minute walk to the sand dunes and beach, but for a better beach its best to walk up to the main road and get the number 6 bus to Los Hoteles further along.
There’s a small bar and cafe next door. The cafe does reasonable pizzas. Across the road is a supermarket and there’s another one about 100 yards up the road.

Las Gaviotas is a great place to stay in Corralejo, if what you want is an unpretentious, clean self catering apartment with stunning views.
I have no problems at all with accommodation itself, however I do have some issues with the description offered by Las Gaviotas themselves.
To start with, the apartments are not '800 meters' from the town centre. They are 1.5 kilometers from the centre, and thus too far to walk unless you really like exercise! There is no garage, only on road parking, which is not a problem in itself. Our satellite TV didn't work, but we didn't want to watch it anyway.
The apartment was very cheap though, and represented very good value for money. They were clean and well equipped. The views were simply stunning.

Very relaxing, would definitely consider a return visit. I would advise a second floor apartment, sea views are wonderful.
