Bad Points:
Up a reasonable hill so you will be kept fit.
Only a few English, with majority well-behaved Germans on package tours. 5% get their togs off on the beach so be prepared for some not-so-pretty sites. Not many Kylie/JLo look-alikes!

Resort tries to cater for the July and August influx of children whilst mainly Saga-louts in the meantime. The amusement arcades amongst the good shops and restaurants can be a bit tacky.
Some damp in the villa, which otherwise seems brand-new.
Some decent-sized waves come in to this beach and it was yellow flags despite very little wind. If you have children you may have to drive 10 miles north for safer seas. However if you are prepared to risk a bit of buffeting getting in and out of the sea (all sandy) this is great.
General Comments:
Villas Monte Solana was a splendid holiday with views over this world-class beach to die for. Apartments hugely luxurious and superbly designed. Have visited 3 other Canary Islands in last 4 years but will undoubtedly be coming back here. Island is arid and with less "must-see’s" than the others, but the scenery is breath taking in places, particularly the Sotovento and Jandia beaches and the inland mountain ranges.
We liked the absence of Brits and much preferred this area to Caleta. Beach spotless.
