Stayed in a comfortable and clean refurbished 1 bed bungalow. Bungalow were very nice with all the facilities including tv. Complex was clean and quiet though on occasions it did appear to be on the flight path. Complex itself is being sold off so in process of being tidied up though there was no noise. Nice walk down hill to town centre taxi just 2E to get back. Complex was very quiet though it did have a very nice pool bar that served the coldest of beers !
Recommended provided you stay in a refurbished unit.

After a 30 hour delay at Gatwick we eventually arrived at the Montecastillo Club on Monday 24 December (when we should have arrived on Saturday 22 December)!!!
We were told that we'd been "upgraded" to a 2-bed apartment, but for 2 of us this really was of little significance. Checked in and on our way up the path we discovered a huge dead rat, which was to remain there for our entire stay! Our room was damp and mouldy, the smell was awful, so we brought some scented candles to try and improve matters! The wardrobes were damp and mouldy inside and above the shower was completely black with mould! In the corner of every room was damp! It was disgusting! We asked to move but were told that there were no rooms available.
This is supposed to be 4* but apparently in Spain the star rating is nothing to do with cleanliness, it is with what facilities they offer and the complex did have 3 pools, a gym and a sauna, which is why it was given the 4* rating! NOT IN MY BOOK! My husband became ill on our second day and felt like someone was standing on his chest! Presumably caused by the damp! I would NOT recommend staying here, it is awful!

Club Montecastillo bungalows have been refurbished and sold to private owners. We booked the one that we stayed in on the internet. There was a huge saving to be made by booking our flights and accommodation separately.
They are cute little holiday bungalows with either one or two bedrooms surrounding an enormous pool which has a lovely pool bar and beside it a jacuzzi. The Malibu bar regularly does free lunches at 1pm for everyone at the bar and are really friendly. There are many games around the bar for children and teenagers and also volleyball, table tennis, minigolf, a boules area, a sauna and a fully equipped gym.
There is a large reception area with internet access and also a restaurant and larger bar and outside shows every night. We found many of the shows to be very good.
The complex also has a supermarket and is near many bars and restaurants and is just a short walk to the beach. We travelled with two teenagers and wondered if they would be bored but Caleta has so many good places for entertainment and is so safe that they had a great time.
We will return to this resort and hopefully stay at Club Montecastillo again.

I was delighted to find out that Club Montecastillo had been refurbished and that the bungalows had been sold to private owners as I had stayed there many years ago and loved it. By booking flights and accommodation ourselves we managed to have a wonderful holiday for less than half the price that we would have paid through a travel agent. The bungalows surround an enormous pool which has a pool bar, jacuzzi, sauna, gym, games room, laundry room, volleyball, boules area, mini golf, table tennis and also a restaurant nearby which does nightly entertainment which was very good.
Club Montecastillo is beside the Montecastillo shopping centre and only ten minutes from the lovely beach. The bus stop is nearby and it is very handy if you wish to go to the Capital city Puerto Rosario as it is only fifteen minutes away. The bus also goes to the airport which is only ten minutes away. Caleta de Fuste has everything anybody would need for a lovely holiday.

i went with my 4 children in july, and was pleasently surprised with the appartments ours was right opposite the zanzibar resteraunt, which can be very noisy at night due to the live acts most nights except wednesdays, so if you want a peaceful evening ask not to be allocated one of these,! i had a 1 bed bungalow which was large enough for us with nice beds and clean linen,what you would expect really, ive been to this area before and loved it and this time was no different,i dont mind that we are in the flight path the little ones loved "plane watching" the area is geat especially for families we had 3 pools at our disposal the one we used was huge and rarelly used so we had a great time splashing about and choosing sunbeds where we wanted,a 10 minute walk down the hill into town is pleasent "you can get a train for a couple of euros "if you dont want the walk especially on the way back up!! the beach is beautiful and clean and the market on saturday is a must too! overall i think anyone will enjoy this place i will go again in the future its just a friendly relaxing place o yes try "chaplins and the chinese there they are great for food and very friendly !!!!
