Zante Star

We have returned to this hotel 8 times in the last 10years and are always amazed by the high standards they set them selfs and always maintain. Irene and Helen always make time for all the vistors are always going one step beyound in the help they give. We arrived to a taxis strike but were alway keep updated by the staff to the likely hood of when it would end.

Having just been to the Zante star with my partner and my daughter 13 and her friend 12 I would definately recommend this place. The location was great for the beach and for going into Tsilivi. The apartments are clean and the staff are very friendly and their little dog micki is so cute. The food at the apartments was also very nice and not to dear. I would definately go back to the Zante Star again.

my boyfriend and i have just returned from the zante star an cannot wait to return,the staff are just so friendly and helpful, the self catering appartments are kitted out very well for your basic needs right down to salt & pepper to a cheese grater.Our appartment was cleaned etc every day, towels changed and beds made ( you will need tea towel,dish cloth an wash liquid etc an other stuff you desire food wise)
I think that because its only 34 rooms you tend to be more like a big family and talk to most if not all the people without being in one anothers pockets, we hired a scooter an saw alot of the island although not all as we were only there a week,i dont think any one weather single, couples or families would be dissapointed with this hotel.hope this helps Glen & Tracey x

We stayed for a week commencing 18th October 2009.One of the cleaness and friendliness hotels we have stayed in Greece.The facilities were of the highest standard and the staff so friendly and helpfull.Certainly would have any qualms in going back.

I can endorse the comments below. We did not have the best weather for our week in October but being at the Zante Star we still had a great time. Friendly staff, great service and it has to be the cleanest hotel in Europe never mind just Greece. Yannis makes sure everything runs smooth and is great company too! Pool area is fabulous great views, plenty of sunbeds. If you want a small and friendly set up just outside town and 10 mins from the beach you wont go wrong here. Holidays are what you make of them and if you are based here thats a great start! Try the Olive Tree restaurant and take the bus to Zante town(bus stop opp Popeyes) Cheers everyone at the Zante Star see you again soon I hope.

Having just returned from 2 weeks at the Zante Star, I have to say that this is the most efficient, cleanest and friendly accomodation we have experienced in our years of holidaying in the islands.
The staff are ALL pleasant, friendly and helpful and I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone. Bar and food prices are generally in keeping with what is available in the town, and the quality of the food when we ate in was very good.
Tsilivi itself has obviously grown up around tourism with the usual run of shops and eating houses all keen to lure you in, but a pleasant enough little town to spend time.
It's biggest asset is naturally the fabulous beech gently sloping into a clear blue sea.

had a great 2 weeks @ the zante star (6.08.09 -20.08.09) very clean accomidation,staff friendly and very helpful.yanni owner top man.situated just outside main town of tsilivi about 10-15min out of town can be a bit of a walk but well worth it when you get back to the zante star smashing views over the landscape ( not hemmed in ).tsilivi is alovley resort clean variation of bars & restaurants,nice sandy beach.met some really nice people of which several have come back for 2nd & 3rd time.we would also visit the zante star again

I have only just returned from a weeks stay at the Zante Star with my girlfriend and although I never usually write reviews, this is an exception. This hotel is superb. Right from the start we were welcomed by friendly staff, great facilities and good food. The hotel is situated approx 5-10 minutes from the beach and around 15 minutes from the centre of Tsilivi.
The hotel owner (Yannis)runs a tight ship and everywhere is kept spotless and running smoothly which includes a great pool area where there are more than enough sunbeds should everyone in the hotel decide to sunbathe that the same time! The food was also good and not overpriced.
I would recommend having now been there to try to get a room with a pool view if you intend to use our balcony, however it didn't really affect us too much as we were rarely in our room.
Tsivili itself is a great town with loads of restaurants catering for all tastes and it also feels very safe. If you decide to go on the boat tour make sure you are prepared to spend around 80% of the day on the boat with only minimal time viewing the beach/wreck itself. We decided to rent a Jeep and went up to a viewing point looking over the bay which I would highly recommend as an alternative.
We will definitely be returning to the Zante Star and could not recommend it enough to anyone reading this review.

My boyfriend and I have just returned from a weeks star at the Zante Star Apartments, nd what a wonderful week we had. The apartments, bar and pool are spotless and very attractive. Fantastic views from the pool area, and juat a short walk to the resort (about 10 min) and about 5 mins to the beach.
Tsilivi itself is a fairly busy resort with the main strip full of bars, shops and restaraunts. Yet you can still find the quieter more traditional tavernas and shops along the beach.I would definitly recommend the balcony restaraunt which is a 5 min walk from the zante star away from the resort but has the most amazing views of the island, and the food is great!! The beach is attractive, and there is a smal amount of watersprots available such as jet ski hire. Yet the Island is not very big so it is just a short drive or bus ride away from the larger resorts such as Laganas with the Marine Park where the Loggerhead Turtles migrate.
We went away for just a week of relaxation, spending most of our time in the day by the pool, and the Zante Star is the perfect place to do this. The food is wonderful. We ate lunch there nearly everyday and was never disappointed (the chicken club sandwich is amazing!!). The pool area is spacious and very clean. There are plenty of sunbeds so there is no rush in the mornings to make sure you get a space. ANd Last but not least te staff are amazing. Yianni the owner is fantastic. He remebers everyones name, room number and drink!! This was our first time visiting this hotel, and many people there return year after year, but we never felt unwelcome. In fact Yianni done everything he could to make our holiday as good as possible. Irina behind the bar is lovely. She is friendly and if you are extra nice to her she will let you have a quick late drink (they tend to close the bar around 1:30am). All in all there is nothing that the staff at this hotel would not do for you, they always have a smile on their face and they made our holiday all the better.
The rooms are spacious, with twin or double beds, bathroom, kitcen area with sofa hat makes into a bed and balcony. We didn't use much of the equipment as we enjoyed the different tavernas in the evening. Yet it was well equiped if you prefere to cook for yourself.
It was mine and my boyfriends first holiday together, and Zante Star was the perfect place for it to be. We had a fantastic time, and will definitly be going back. We loved it.

Amazing holiday. The apartments are clean and attractive. The pool is lovely, and there are always sunbeds available. The bar area is pretty and the food from here is amazing. The staff are fantastic. Nothing is too much trouble from them. And they are all so friendly and welcoming. They make the stay that much more enjoyable. Lovely lovely people. Would recommend to everyone, esp as the island is such a beautiful place, and tsilivi is a beautiful aprt to the island.
