We spent 2 weeks here at the end of the school holidays. Haraki is lovely, there are quite a few shops selling all the basics you will need. The beach is pebbled but a few kilometres away is a beautiful sandy beach. Beware of the rocks though, I swam over to retrieve a fallen shoe and stood on sea urchins and had to spend an afternoon finding an open doctor's surgery then have spines extracted. Ow!
Apartments are very compact, but kept clean. Shower was fine. There were signs asking guests not to flush toilet paper down the loo, but for it to be placed in the bin but the bins were emptied regularly by the cleaner. The restaurant downstairs does very nice food.
We were able to leave our bags stored after we checked out for a small charge, as our flight wasn't until night time.
We hired aircon which we thought was quite expensive but we couldn't have managed without it.
We were on the top floor so had several flights of stairs to maneouvre but it was quieter than the ground floor where you would have the noise from the kitchen.
We did have a balcony but our apartments were rear facing so we didn't have the lovely sea-view those at the front enjoyed.
We hired a car for the fortnight locally and drove to Lindos (disappointing and heaving with hot tourists) and Rhodes town (lovely, but beware of street canvassers offering you free holidays at a new resort - it's a scam!) as well as right round the island one day.
We also visited the Faliraki water park which we thought was amazing, although very costly to get in (in the region of £90 for 2 adults and 2 children) but worth the money as there was so much to do. One tip if you do go, take flip flops or you might burn the soles of your feet!
The temperature was in the late 30's early 40's the whole time we were there so we tended to stay indoors during the middle of the day to avoid the heat.
