Nice hotel, as mentioned by other reviewers it's not much to look at on arrival but once inside the hotel it's quiet and you don't hear any noise from the busy arcades or road etc.
Nice rooms, good staff, clean pools (outdoor heated pool great first thing and very quiet).
Only downside is the food. Two sittings for dinner and if you don't arrive at the start of the sitting you get served the food that has been cooked and left on the hot plate (dry/crispy etc). Strange combinations and certainly little spanish style food (sweetcorn and banana salad - yuk).
The last couple of days of our stay the hotel got a lot busier and the restaurant couldn't cope even for breakfast it was difficult to find a table.
Would return on room only or B&B basis as great food available very cheaply in places nearby.

Lovely ride from airport felt very safe. Excellent reception at hotel greeted with glass of bubbly very welcome good start to holiday. Could not get room requested but one given was first class lovely view of sea and beach, morning sun so watched sunrise each day break with a cup of tea as tea making facilities provided wonderful. First class staff any problems dealt with immediately very friendly and accommodating. Bar staff did a very good job efficient and helpful once again. Same in restaurant good salad bar and sweet dishes but only small complaint was meat not cooked as requested as one who likes meat well done the chef did not seem to listen and therefore meat was undercooked to my taste. Overall smashing holiday met lovely people from all parts of Europe.Beach and walking fantastic.
- Activities: Walking on sady beach every day and swimming in the clear waters of Atlantic and feeding the fish

We went to Faro Jandia in the summer it was great. Lovely temperature not too hot or too cold. Lovely breeze!!!
The staff at the hotel were brilliant very polite and friendly. The pool was always very quiet and clean. Baby pool warm and shallow very clean aswell. Spa was great only for over 14's. Food great always something you will like. Always chips for fussy eaters. A selection of different ice cream every day.
The room was cleaned everyday. People staying at the hotel were mostly German, staff mostley Spanish not much brits.Only a few TV channels in English but a wide selection of programmes including the news, the simpsons ,family guy, Desprate Houswives ect.
The beach was beautiful and clean the water lovely the sand golden.
Play park at the hotel for small children. Shows at night good . Pool table and table tennis avalibe also tennis. Drinks on arrival champane for the adults orang juice for the children.
Very good holiday

Lovely hotel and resort although a bit windy on the beach which was a good 200m walk. Hotel was very german and I found it very difficult to get served the correct drink. One night I asked for a pims and finished up with a bear. Nothing for my teenaged daughters as those at the hotel were all over 60 and couples. The few young children at the hotel behaved excellently. A lovely hotel but not for the young at heart!

On first sight of the Hotel we thought "Oh dear we have made a mistake". This was because it was on the busy main street with an amusement arcade next door.
On entering the hotel, however, our thoughts were transformed. It is a little oasis where good service and fine food is the order of the day.
The buffet breakfast was wonderful with such things as smoked salmon and prawns on the menu and an omelette bar where the chef cooked then to your own order.
Choose one of the superior rooms if you want the best sea views and a huge balcony with your own sun beds and luxurious towels. They also have tea and coffee making facilities, a small fridge and a DVD player.
There were always plenty of sun beds available around the pool, which never seemed crowded. The indoor pool and spa area are lovely but be warned, as the clientele is mostly Scandinavian and German and most people use them in the nude.
We shall certainly return in the near future.

Had a great holiday at this hotel. The room was spacious and bright, the staff friendly and attentive and the food very good especially the fresh fish.
The well being centre was clean and uncrowded and offered great beauty/spa treatments. Most of the other guests were from Germany however this really didn't matter at all. The evening entertainment was varied and day activities were available, especially tennis.
The surrounding area had small shops and a great beach, really felt relaxing with no noisy night clubs or bars spoiling the atmosphere.
Can't wait to go back!

Fabulous funkily decorated hotel. Lovely food (evening meals were wonderful) and really good staff. We got this as a last minute holiday and were allocated this hotel on arrival. Great big room, with huge balcony - big enough for 2 adults to sunbathe in sun all day. Only downside was the pools were unheated. We had wonderful warm weather and the resort was really nice - beautiful wide white sandy beaches. Would love to go back, but can’t afford it! My 1.5 year old daughter loved the mini disco every night.

This is a great hotel in a great location. Don't be put off by the first impression of the hotel as it is on a busy shopping street and doesn't have the best of entrances, but once you get in the place is amazing! Service is great in the hotel and the food is more than acceptable with lots of choice at every meal. The hotel bar can be expensive but the service is good and friendly. Go for a superior room if you can as they are much better than the standard rooms and have a massive balcony which has plenty of furniture. The suites are great and have much more room and a hot tub on the (v.large) balcony - but they are expensive and how much time are you going to spend it the room anyway? The hotel has a number of great pools that are well maintained and safe for kids.
Jandia is a quiet resort - there are bars and lots of places to eat - walk right down the far end of the beach to find some great sea food places. The beach is just over the road from the hotel, you can't get nearer and there are some nice cafes / bars on the beach. The beach is mixed clothed and nudist, but you soon get used to it!
Resort is a good mix of English and German with other nationalities also represented.
We have been to this hotel several times, often in May and September each year and had great weather every time - we used to go to another hotel in the resort but moved to the Faro Jandia as so many people recommended it and we have been going ever since -just brilliant!
