Ambassador Monaco Hotel

This hotel is situated in a great location, we took a chance and caught a bus from Nice airport which stopped less than a minutes walk from the hotel, which saved us a lot of money in transfers. All the staff we encountered were very helpful and polite, nothing was too much trouble, especially the desk staff and Annie the breakfast lady, the rooms weren't very big admittedly but fine for our two night stay, they were clean and the bathroom was fine. Would definately recommend for a short stay.

Thought Monte-Carlo would be the pinnacle of our trip but were extremely disappointed. Hotel is fine but at least a fifteen minute (uphill) walk from the Casino. Breakfast was nice and included in price. Room was awkward due to toilet being in separate room from shower/sink. Shower was handheld and difficult. All hotels in Monaco are overpriced, so I guess this was one of the better values, but all in all I think the town is over-rated.

We stayed here in Dec 2004 for 2 nights. Really enjoyed Monaco, pity about the hotel. Room was very small, bed was stained, bathroom didn't look the cleanest (shower door was broken as well). Breakfast included was fine. Good location. Only staff who could crack a smile was the breakfast lady.

Stayed here in December 2004. A few good things: Annie, who is in charge of the breakfast service, is wonderful! The front desk staff friendly. Easy walking distance to the Palace and waterfront. A little further if you are dressed to go to the Casino and upscale shopping areas. Rooms, adequate at best. Located in a noisy morning traffic and work area. Excellent hotel with friendly and courteous staff. We had a lovely room with a balcony and were able to relax and watch the busy nightlife all around.

We stayed here for 2 nites during our honeymoon. Big bathroom (tho strange cuz no shower curtain)--our room had a double sink. Monaco isn't very big so if you don't mind walking, this place is great. WE got our room for $170/nite online a week in advance.

We stayed here in March for a long weekend. Extremely good value in a very good, convenient location. Room we had was a little small with a shower and no bath. Very clean and quite adequate. The restaurant and corridor areas need updating but not dreadful. Didn't eat in the hotel apart from breakfast that was quite good. Monaco isn't as expensive as we thought and lots of things were very good value. If you want a reasonably priced hotel in a good location I'd recommend the Ambassador

If you are visting on a budget then this hotel should be considered it is clean, tidy and has very comfy beds! the rooms are not massive but how much time will u be in the room for?? it is in a good location very close to the palace and walking distance from almost evrything you would want to see! the breakfast are simple but with a reasonable choice, i would definately go back.

The staff was really great and the dining room was nice. Also, it is close to McDonald's (for a quick munchie break), the bus lines, Stars and Bars (the internet cafe), the grocery store and the outdoor market. I plan to go over a couple times of year and have no intention of ever staying anyplace else.

Spent few nights in a correct hotel in the traditional part of Monaco, with rather tiny rooms (regular size for Monaco) but it is a favorite for Italians who enjoy having very lively and loud conversations late at night in the corridors. Atmosphere garanteed, but do not plan to go there if you need a full night's rest... Nice and tasty italian restaurant downstairs, with a nice terrace (but still expensive) Defininitely a good alternative to the standard glass&concrete stereotypes...
