Our stay at Chalet Jospehine in Brevieres near Tignes, was a very enjoyable one! The accommodation was reasonably compact, but designed in typical alpine style, and with great views over the village and lake. Our group comprised 6 adults (including two seniors) and 4 children (including 2 under the age of one). With such an eclectic mix, Chalet Josephine really worked for us: a good communcal social space comprising Kithen, diner and lounge, with ensuite accommodation spread over three floors.
What set the Chalet stay apart in my mind were two aspects: 1/ The food, prepared with care and passion by our host Ed - even the fussy 4 year old would eat his food! and 2/ the customer-focussed attention of the host ,Ed and the local assitant manager, Paul. Whether entertaining children, booking ski lessons, offering local advice, or engaging in post-dinner conversation they really went the extra mile.
Thank you to Ed, Paul and (of course) Jospehine!

Went to chalet josephine in April 2009 and all in all we had a great value holiday in a nice chalet. A wee moan about the dysfunctional Hot Tub for 3 days of our stay, but to be fair the Operators Alpine Elemenst reacted quickly and gave us a bottle of bubbly as a bit of consolation. Staff were lovely and worked hard keeping the place quite clean, food was very good too - if only they could offer a cooked option for breakfast pleeeaase!!! We would pay extra for this!!
Was a bit concerned with Tignes Brevieres before we went, but it is so much cheaper and friendlier than Le lac and the skiing is just as good - in fact the skiing is exactly the same really! The resort is smaller and quieter, great for our kids - and it is pretty and quaint and has enough going on if you still feel like a few drinks after skiing. restaurants for the chalet night off are very good too.

Just wanted to log our review on the chalet Josephine for the benefit of one and all. In short we had a very nice time, the chalet was perfect for our family booking and we were treated superbly by the staff. In fact the only fault we had all week was lumpy pillows and the health centre was shut for 1 day. I have to say though that Alpine compensated us with a bottle of Champers, and a trip to ikea for pillows so it was all soon forgotten! Spot on team - the pillow treatment was above and beyond but thanks all the same to our rep Hannah!
We wanted high altitude skiing but didn't want to pay the extortionate prices or stay in a concrete jungle! We booked up with Alpine Elements with a little trepidation because Chalet Josephine is located in Brevieres - the lower of the Tignes satellites. However as we were to discover this wasn't really a big problem as the skiing is still high and the Gondola has pretty direct access straight to the top slopes of Tigens. We had great skiing back down to Brevieres and the resort is a pretty alternative to Le Lac with very friendly locals andgood restaurants etc.

We really enjoyed our stay at Chalet Josephine with daughter and son-in-law. The staff went out of their way to help us oldies. Only drawback was lack of space to dry ski gear - but with all en-suite bedrooms (and lovely 'proper' carpet!) it was not a problem.

I have to say that we stayed in the Josephine and found the chalet to tick all our boxes nicely. The food was great and top marks go to Ralph and the team. The chalet is new and clean and the only gripe really is that the ski storage is a bit cramped and clothes drying has to be from your bedrooms.
However - these concession are small - the price was excellent and for the quality of chalet we will certainly go again.

Ok the water situation leaves much to be desired but the chalet was certainly not cramped with 8 adults and 2 children. Our host,Kat, was simply superb. The other staff were fine too. I wouldn't rave about this chalet but it was reasonable value and was certainly warm and comfortable.
The skiing was great, plenty of varied runs for all standards. We were lucky to have super weather too. Tignes les Brevieres is a very pleasant village but has enough apres ski to make it lively.

The holiday was only enjoyable because we managed to ski every day and because of the crowd we went with.
The agents Alpine Elements (chalet staff apart - they were brilliant) have been unhelpful and rude.
The chalet area was full of building rubble with building works going on all day every day, the health centre (which we paid extra for) was not even built when the brochure and the web state that the chalets etc were completed in August 2005.
There was a problem with the boiler in that 8 of us in a chalet could not even have a shower each every day as there was only enough hot water for one or two showers.
They advertise that the chalets are for 10 (or 12 at a push) people, we had 8 adults staying in the chalet and it was extremely cramped.
There was no road up to the chalet as the tar finished at the bottom of the hill, then it became a dirt road as the road was not finished yet.
These are but a few of the complaints so I advise anyone who is planning to book a holiday with this company to look very carefully at what they are paying for.

Chalet was nice and clean but lacks a bit of space, the bedrooms were very compact but apart from that the chalet was very good. Our Chalet host was excellent and the food was fantastic.
The pool is small as it say's in the advert but along with the hot tub is very nice at the end of a long day on the slopes.
We think the skiing at Tignes is the best in the Alps and the run back to Brev is fantastic (Black/Red or Blue!)and one of the most beautifull home runs i have boarded/ski.
The village is lovely but small, only 2 Bars and a couple of Restaurants (Which are very Expensive for Drinks on the Wed nite meal), if you enjoy shopping the Brev is not the place to be as there is only one ski shop!
Alpine Elements were ok, we had a few small issue's which were put right straight away so cant really complain there.
All in all an excellent week was had by the gang!
