" My partner and I are in our early... "

My partner and I are in our early twenties and wanted a peaceful week away to relax and thats exactly what we got at the Club Jandia Princess. The hotel was lovely and clean and catered mainly for couples and families. It is located within 5 minutes of the beautiful beach however, this hotel may not be ideal for the elderly as there are quite alot of steps down to the beach although I am sure there were other routes. The swimming pools were lovely and warm and there are a number of small pools out of the way for people that do not want to sit by the main pool. We found the staff to be very polite and helpful and most of them spoke very good English. There are areas inside and outside to relax in the evening overlooking the pools and pool bar and also the beach. My partner and I am very fussy eaters but there was a big selection of English and foreign food to choose from. There was a choice of breakfasts also which included cereal, fruit, full english breakfast and continental. There is a wide selection of alcoholic beverages to enjoy all day long including many tasty cocktails. There are hot dogs, burgers, rolls and ice cream available for most of the day and the eating areas were never over crowded as you have a long time slot for each meal. The evening entertainment varied from Karaoke to bands and discos however we chose to sit outside on the balcony overlooking the beach. There is a fantastic walk on the right hand side of the beach (be aware of naturists) which takes you into the town which is full of nice restaurants and bars. There are many excursions to go on if you wish, we chose to go to the zoo which was good and involved a camel ride which we didnt enjoy very much. We also went on the submarine excursion which was a little dissapointing as we didnt see anything other than fish. We hired a quad bike for a few days which was alot of fun as we explored alot of the island that you wouldnt get to see in a car. This was the best holiday my partner and I have been on and are looking to get married here in the near future. If you are looking for a relaxing get away in a top hotel then we highly recommend the Club Jandia Princess - you will not be dissapointed!

" This hotel is wonderful! Didn't want... "

This hotel is wonderful! Didn't want to come back! Beautiful hotel with really good bar in the middle of the pool which was really nice to sit at in the evening.

Piano bar also great, with balconies overlooking pool area which was really nice in the evening also.

Meals were buffet style and a good choice every night. About an hour’s stroll away along the beach is the main resort of Jandia with shops and cafes along the beach which was really good for a day away from the hotel.

Beautiful large pool and ample sunbeds (1st hotel I think I've been to where you didn't have a mad rush 1st thing in the morning for a sunbed!).

This was the second time we'd been and would definitely go back again.

" This hotel and location was stunning.... "

This hotel and location was stunning. The views daytime and night time were gorgeous.

Overall the holiday was a good one. The weather was lovely. The bad points were: the food was a bit repetitive and not very nice, the air conditioning in the main building was virtually non-existent and wasn’t much better in the room. I found it bearable at night but my friend found it incredibly uncomfortable.

Although the kids club entertainers work really hard they are incredibly loud and very in your face, I don’t think they realised that using a mic enhances your voice as they would shout down it and it was deafening.

The entertainment after the kids club was reasonably good. The daytime by the pool was nice and quiet.

Overall I liked the holiday but it could have been better.

" Just returned from a very enjoyable... "

Just returned from a very enjoyable holiday at Club Jandia Princess - weather very good, if a little windy at times.

Accommodation comfortable with good facilities and always clean. Meals were varied and there was plenty of choice. Although it was the height of the season, we could always find a table in the dining room to suit us. The waiters were very busy but served us well.
The swimming pools were excellent with plenty of space - perhaps because the water was quite cold. One major downside was that the area surrounding the pools, where the sun loungers were to be found, was never cleaned throughout the fortnight that we were there and parts of it were quite dirty.

The Thomson rep was very efficient, and our grandson enjoyed the luxury of being able to borrow inflatables and surfboards from the Thomson office. Drinks from the bars were very good but at peak times more bar staff were needed. The piano bar was a lovely area to sit after dinner, with pleasant music, but we could not understand why the bar here was not part of the All Inclusive option - we had to go down two levels to get any drinks.

Overall, we would recommend this hotel.

" An excellent holiday! The hotel was... "

An excellent holiday! The hotel was great - hotel staff friendly and helpful although the Thomson reps were notable by their absence the minute there was a complaint to be made...

Good choice of food and drink on AI package, close to a beautiful beach - BE AWARE OF THE NUDISTS.

Generally an excellent place to be - we will be going again!

" The hotel was brilliant very very... "

The hotel was brilliant very very clean. Service was always there, lovely views of the sea mountains etc.

The holiday was great mostly aimed at families couples and elderly travellers rated 4star but could get a 5*.

The food was only one slight downfall as was very similar daily.

The major downfall which ruined our holiday was the building work, it was so noisy we was told it would be a few tiles around the pool, but isn't that and a small building site next door.

I would on a good note totally recommend the hotel to any one, once the work has been done.

Thomson were mainly responsible, as they didn’t fully inform us of the work.

Our rep Spencer was brilliant, he was the only good rep from Thomson from booking to the end.

" We spent the last week of January... "

We spent the last week of January here. The weather was mostly most inclement, for which we can not blame the hotel.

However, roofs, doors and windows let in water. Public areas were festooned with towels and buckets soaking up the rain.

Inside, in bars and lounges it was cold. There are many broken, dangerous tiles throughout the complex.

For a period of days one of the hoists did not work; the steam room in the sauna was not operational; some of the paths are unlit; hot tap water is only available at certain times.

Food was excellent, service generally good, room comfortable, entertainment at night varied from good to dire.

During the worst of the weather, the management provided nothing by way of diversions for guests incarcerated in their rooms or equally cold public areas.

These should be basic considerations in any hotel of any standard.

To be fair many of the inadequacies would have been overlooked if the sun had shone, but, it didn't, and the management had no contingency plan to cope.

" Just returned from a weeks holiday... "

Just returned from a weeks holiday staying at this hotel. Before going we received a phone call from Portland to say the pool was out of use.

I then read all the other reviews on the Internet and phoned Portland to change hotel, as it sounded like the hotel form hell. We than decided to stick with this hotel and we were so glad we did.

One pool was out of use but there was still four other pools. Food was fantastic, never the same. The only thing that was true that I read about, was the tiles were very slippery round by the pools and could do with replacing.

The hotel is set away from anything but you could get a bus or taxi and it would take you to the town centre. I was worried about the steps going down to the beach, as I was on holiday with my mum and my 2 year old. But is was not a great problem, as you could walk down the road to the other Princess hotel and cut through their hotel and a big slope led you down to the beach.

Rooms were ok not fantastic quite basic but clean. Never been to a Princess Hotel but would go again. Oh and I never saw one cockroach.

" After reading some very suspect... "

After reading some very suspect reviews, I was a little concerned about our holiday in Fuerteventura.

On arrival, I was very impressed with a pleasant welcome in reception, followed by a cold buffet put on for us late arrivals.

A short walk down to a nice sandy beach, the hotel is ideally situated, just a short taxi ride from Jandia centre. The food was of a reasonable standard and quite varied. I think if we'd stayed for 2 weeks, it may have become a bit tedious.

The rooms are tastefully decorated, spacious with big mirrored wardrobes which are quite handy for the bedroom athletes out there. Car hire is competitively priced and what better way of exploring the island, than scooting round in a little convertible.

On the whole I would recommend Club Jandia Princess for holidaymakers of all ages for a quiet beach break with a good chance of sunshine all year round.

" Well I just came from my vacation and... "

Well I just came from my vacation and honestly I was a bit disappointed, I went with my husband and 3 more couples and 2 children.

Our package was all inclusive, if I knew before that all inclusive had a specific timetable I wouldn’t pick it. Everything was controlled, the waiters would start clearing the buffet tables 1/2 an hour before the time limit, at 9:30, breakfast would be ending, kind of early for who is on holidays. And there wasn’t much of a variety of food, pretty much would be the same ordinary things everyday. The waiters were pretty rude too, that was the first thing I noticed, 2 of them had the courage to ask me to help them clear the table!

The hotel was pretty clean at all times, and the rooms are spacious and clean too, but I didn’t understand why our mini bar was always empty, they never put anything in it?! Despite the hotel being clean, what really grossed me out was the cockroaches that would come out at night, they were everywhere, towards the end of my vacation I got scared when I would go out at night, I would see them crawl up peoples legs, I’m not kidding!

The floor at the pool area which is basically around the entire hotel, was extremely slippery, the kids kept falling and getting bruised. I was also afraid of falling too even though I was very careful considering I was 5 months pregnant at the time. What I really liked about this hotel was the entertainment team, they were excellent! Every night we would see something different and very good performances. My congratulations for the animation team!

Well one thing I know for sure was that I did have fun because we were a big group but I’m pretty sure I won’t go back to this place.

" We have just returned from a two week... "

We have just returned from a two week stay at the hotel. The descriptions we read were very true of what we experienced.

The hotel is located quite a distance from the bars and restaurants but there is a regular bus service and taxis available. We spent two weeks relaxing in the extremely peaceful surroundings of the hotel and beach.
Would definitely return to this hotel.
" The hotel is very clean and the rooms... "

The hotel is very clean and the rooms are very spacious and have everything you need. The reps are very welcoming especially to gals!! The food is beautiful, they have different food theme nights every night. Activities in the day are varied and most kids take part.

Then l8r on you collect your t-shirt on stage. The pools are wicked but they are a little cold:(....and some look deeper than they are: (ow!) The drinks are fresh and a variety of alcohol is available. As there are not as many English people as in the Balearics all the English kids join together in one big gang :d

The games room is a bit limited. The hotel is massive and there are several areas to explore. The snack bar is very useful and the food is good for an afternoon snack. The sauna is spacious and very hot lol. The steam room is ok but no sauna! The Jacuzzi is good too. Some of the reps are very pleasing to the eye too :p The hotel caters for young children too with a kids club n kids pool.

The entertainment is varied and good....its either a professional show or a show prepared by the reps. There is a bar in the middle of the pool called cocloco and that is chilling most of the day. Shout out to everyone I met there...Laura, Katie, Hannah, Toby, Catherine x2, Verity, Gemma, Paro, Charlotte, Tom, Jack, Oli, and the legend that is Paul the p**s head!!!
" An excellent choice for those, like... "

An excellent choice for those, like us, who are seeking a relaxing break. The hotel is very well appointed and set in beautiful tropical gardens and boasts of one of the best swimming pools we have come across in our travels. From arrival in reception to sadly checking out, every effort is made to make your stay one to remember.

Breakfast and dinner can best be described as a gastronomic experience - the choice is unbelievable.

There is direct access (down cliff steps) to miles of endless sandy beaches, totally uncrowded.

This is our second visit and we shall return again next year for our annual week’s switch off therapy.

" This was the first Princess hotel we... "

This was the first Princess hotel we have stayed at and it was fantastic.

The location was out the way a bit from shops bars and restaurants but could get be accessible by 40-minute walk along beach or by bus or taxi service.

The beach was to die for - pristine white sand and clear sea water...it was just breath-taking.

The food was excellent too. buffet style but very fresh and an enjoyable selection for all. Alacarte was also available if you fancied a treat and the staff could not be faulted in any way.

The rooms were spacious and very clean and the grounds are very picturesque.

We would deffo return to this hotel and any other Princess Hotel in the future.
