Not Long Back From A Week In Danaides Apartments With The Girls ! What Can A Say Best Holiday EVER! The Apartments Are The Best In Malia By Far. The Pictures In The Brochure Do Not Do It Justice ! Although It Is Behind A Bar You Hear No Noise Atol ! The Staff Were Friendly Expecially George Behind The Bar Goes Out His Way To Make Your Holiday Supper ! Malia Night Life Was Amazing The Apartments Are On The Main Strip So Not Far To Stagger Home. Security Guy Was Lovely If You Kept On His Good Side But Doesnt Like ANYONE Coming In The Apartments That Doesnt Stay There. There Is Also Great Music By The Pool All Day And Lovely Food From The Bar ! I Would Go Back Here In A Second And Recommend It 100%. If Your Thinking About Booking It Do It NOW !

Stayed in these appartments towards the end of may/beginning of June and absolutely loved it! The staff were all very friendly (specially George!, really couldn't fault them. The location of the appartments were perfect, with many restaurants and bars nearby. The food in Malia is very nice and relatively cheap, typically under 10 euros per person. There is also a Spar near the appartments which is good for snacks etc.
The grounds of the appartment are very nice and seem to be the nicest in Malia! I would 100% recommend these appartments, they were lovely and clean and we had no problems. I would suggest you do collect your passport before the end of the holiday and do not make much noise/mess and you will be fine!
I would say the only downside was the fact you could not take your own drinks/food to the pool area, forcing you to buy theirs. The staff said this was due to tax issues.... I would recommend you just buy one bottled drink through the day (one euro) and fill it up in your room.
I also recommend 4plan and street bar for great drinks offers!!!

Ignore all the bad reviews, they are just talkin a load of [--]! You cant ask for a better location right on the main beach road, about a 10 minute walk to the beach!!
The owners and George the pool bar man are just class!! These are the best apartments in Malia by far!! So gurd already gonna be booking up for next year, Cant bloody wait!

Danaides is in a great location; but the treatment we received from the owner was awful. We were totally ripped off when we left, being charged for a damaged lamp we hadn't even used. Our passports were taken in on arrival so we were completely blackmailed into paying up for this lamp: we're sure this is some money making scheme and lots of other guests have had the same unfortunate lamp incident. If the owner is that bothered about the quality of her rooms then maybe sorting out the crumbling plaster would be a good plan. Being charged forty euros for a lamp which looked like it had fallen off the back of a lorry was totally farsical, and meant we left Malia with this sour note. Staying right on the strip was ideal, but there are bound to be other places to stay where the staff make the place feel less like Alcatraz. If you choose Danaides, you should certainly check the room thoroughly when you arrive for any faults which you may be charged for.

these apartments are fantastic for location for the bars, clubs and places to eat, it was a nice walk to the beach, which was also very nice.
The apartments were clean and tidy, cleaners came in every other day to change towels etc. The swimming pool was clean and a reasonable size. there were plently of sunbeds and the pool bar was a reasonable price and very good choice of food and drink.
The manager was useless though, she was never around when you needed her, and was very rude, there is also a lady who walks around at night to check around and she was VERY rude, and couldn't speak a word of english or just couldn't be bothered!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you are looking to have a quiet or relaxing holiday this is not the place to go as the guests are rather loud and rowdy, stay up all night, and sleep during the day, expect no sleep at night.....
There is use of the internet at 1 euro and two pool tables for 2 euros, and PS3 price according to time. right outside the apartments is a bar.
Overall a good place to stay, and fairly recommended

just got back from the apartments yesterday
location - perfect
the actual hotel - lovely, pool abit small mind
staff - absoloute rubbish the owner a women who looks like pat butcher punched my mate a few times for swinging on a palm tree, everyone we spoke to she had upset and kicked out. also the greek guy who works behind the open bar is a prick saw him throwing ice at a few people and just general idiot.
drinks round pool 3 euros for beer, food decent, cant take ur own food or drink round pool just into your rooms
aircon is a MUST 50 euros for week, u rent it dont loan it out, saftey deposit same again 20 euros
internet 1 euro - 15mins
the security guard - ok most of time but smashed my mate up with the tourch last night cut all his leg open
the old women who works there and always cleans up hitting people with her brush, ahtough she was been winded up by people making bird noises no need to hit customers jesus
what ever u do dont break owt in your room we had 200 euros fine, this inculdes dirty towlers, cups plates all the way up to plant pots and garden lights, we didnt do alot of it but didnt have a leg to stand on as they has passports
dont get quad hire 1000euro if you have accident, if u dont pay ur legs will be broken quite simple alot of people told us this and i saw it myself.
and mike the rep from olympic dosent care less unless ur female and if u dont book trips with them he just ignores u and general idiot

Absolutely immense!!
Group of ten girls from n.wales, aged 18-19 had the most amazing time ever, it was my thrid girl hol but many of there 1st, and compared to where i have been, magaluf and tenerife it was awesum!
The Denandies are the cleanest most looked after, most secure, most fun, most quiet when u want it to be, nice food, easiest access to everything apppartments in malia, and everyone will tell you that aswell!!
And parents no need to worry as the balconies arnt high, the maids are friendly, the security is brilliant, and the bar man will make sure you're having sensible madness fun!!
From the tunes by the pool, the air con, the bar food, the pool everything is 5 star!!
Im defo re-booking for 2 weeks

Just got back from a week in Malia staying at the Danaides with 6 of my girl friends and i couldnt have wanted much more really! Apartments were right in the strip near all the restaurants bars and clubs which was good as we didnt fancy walking miles back to our apartment after a night out yet you couldnt hear the noise from the clubs if you get in early!
Rooms were really big and clean and the place just had a wikid feeling to it with everyone chatting on their balconies after a night out! Hotel owners were nice enough although they do charge you if you break or ruin anything but so do most of the apartments and hotels in malia! Pool was big enough with sunbeds always being avaliable throughout the day and George the barman playing music all day!
Only thing i didnt like was the cleaners! They gave us clean towels twice within the whole week and the showers made the bathroom flood but everything else was wikid and if i would definatly recomend the apartments if u want to be in the centre of everything!

My husband & I went in to our local co-op travel agency , and the following day flew from Birmingham to Heraklion. Price incl. transfers,flights,accom, & co-op ins. . £225 for 7 nights.
We stayed in Malia at Danelis apartments.What a fantastic place !!!! Family run , the owners always there and cant do enough to make your stay as pleasurable as possible!!
The cleanliness was outstanding. It was central enough to get to the "strip" , beach and town centre on foot,still far enough away to escape the party sounds of the strip at night lol ! The beaches were fantastic , the views breath taking and the locals extremely friendly. It was so nice that we are heading back in the summer hols with our kids !!

If you are thinking about booking this hotel do it now best hotel i have stayed at in years and i've been to a fair few.
Rooms were lovely everything you need is available and very clean. The grounds of the hotel and pool were spot on very well looked after.
Demitri the security guard (Not sure if that is his name but he seemed to like it) Will keep you in check but is a proper laugh if you dont feck him about.
The apts are bang in the middle of the strip but set back so not noisy at night.
But my main mention goes to George the Barman he is an absolute legend a born entertainer and was constantly having a laugh. (George if you read this which i'm sure you will you big head!!! this is Kris with the Iphone sorry i couldnt do you a deal!!!)
Cheers George for being a top man all hols and if i go to malia again this will be the place i will be going.
