Angelica Apartments

Just back from a wonderful week at the apartments. Olga and Stacey were more than helpful when we arrived (Olympic holidays had booked us a one bedroomed apartment when we had in fact booked a two bedroomed). The apartments are very spacious, exceptionally clean and in a brilliant location.
Olga and Stacey are extremely helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble and they were great at pointing out the best supermarkets and the best places to eat.
All the other guests we came across were very pleasant. The apartments have their own pool and most days it was like having your own private pool!
Our only disappointment was that we wished we'd booked for two weeks! We will definately be returning next year.

We stayed at the Angelica Apartments for the first time in June 2010.The apartments are spotlessly clean & bedding & towels are changed 2 or 3 times a week.There was always plenty of hot water for a shower at any time of day.The owners Olga & Stacie were so kind & helpful & went out of their way to please everyone-even offering to get a fan for me to hire as I don't like air-conditioning.The apartments are in an excellent location.Plenty of good restaurants-some on the doorstep & if you take a 15min walk into the old village you will find the best ones.The beach is a 2min walk away & the local bus stops at the bottom of the road.It is a very good bus service & so it is very easy to get around.We had such a good holiday that we returned in September 2010 for another 2 weeks.Olga & Stacie made sure that our second visit was as good as the first & made us very welcome.

We experienced then owners, Olga and Stacie, to be far from 'diamonds' during our stay.

We have just returned from two weeks's holiday at the Angelica Appartments in Aghia Marina, Norh West Crete.
Our appartment was very clean and Spacious. The owners Olga and Daughter Stacie could'nt have been more friendly and helpful, always had a smile and found time to chat. They work very hard to please their guests & to make them feel special.
There is a nice pool and great gardens for sun bathing, which we enjoyed very much. Anyone who wanted a larger pool could use the one opposite, if yo have a drink there.
The location of Angelica Appartments was perfect, situated in a quiet side road, yet only two minutes to the lovly beach which was clean (also the sea). There were Taverna's next door and opposite, but we found the Olive Tree to be our favourite. Well worth the ten minute walk.
Would highly recommend these apartments and promise to keep in touch with these wonderful ladies, who said we were more like friends to them.
Hope Olympic promote these apartments in their next brochure.

We arrived at Angelica appts as we transferred from another place that we had been unhappy with, We were greeted by Olga who was so friendly and helpful, the appartment we were given was abosolutely spotless clean, and with everything we needed for our stay, we could not have stayed in a better place, the pool though small was lovely, and the peaceful garden at the back was ideal to lie and chill in the sun. The beach was a minute walk from the appt, and was beautiful, with lots of lovely tavernas. If we ever returned to Crete Angelica would be the place for us, we couldnt thank them enough for their friendly hospitality.....it made our holiday complete.

We looked at these reviews before we booked to stay at the Angelika apartments and were impressed by all the positive comments. We can say that all the positive comments were absolutely correct. Olga and Stacie(greek Aussies)who own the apartments are very friendly and helpful.The location was perfect as it was off the main busy road and quiet at night. The pool area was always quiet so no fighting for the sunbeds!You can ,if you wish, use the pool at the hotel opposite or the Four brothers Taverna near by if you buy a drink. The apartments are basic but very clean and spacious.Allow about 130 euros(for 2 weeks) for airconditioning and safety deposit box. I believe she is quite cheap with this price compared to many others.The beach is a few minutes walk away with ample sun loungers and good choice of water sports. There were many very good tavernas nearby. Two excellent tavernas were Nimfi's and The Casa de Mare which served excellent food with good menus. The bus stop is also just a minutes stroll away.The resort area itself is mainly families and couples so no noisy night clubs!We would definately stay at these apartments again but would book direct rather than through Olympic.

Excellent location and great room! This place is right next to the sea. We would walk for less than a minute to get to the beautiful beach and sea everyday. The beach is really clean, so is the sea and there is paragliding there also. The room had everything we needed; fridge, hob, sink, tables, balcony and the ensuite bathroom. No problems at all. The two people running it are mother and daughter and they are very nice people. We definately recommend this place. If you like early and quiet nights (I do) then you could pick a room at the back, as the hotel in front sometimes plays music outdoors late evening for a while, but not very loudly and definately not all night. We were at the front, I'm fussy and it wasn't too bad. The whole atmosphere there is really relaxed and that was just what we needed for our holiday.

Just returned from two weeks at these apartments. As a family of four we were fortunate to be allocated the ground floor of the "house" below the owners apartment. Olga and Stacie were absolute diamonds throughout the stay. Nothing was too much trouble, they were always asking if they could do anything to help.
We ended up with two double bedrooms, a large kitchen (unused except for the fridge!!) an incredibly large living area and a bathroom complete with a bath. This has never happened to us since visiting Greece self catering since 1987!
Olga was also a superb virtual tour guide. Where to go using the bus, car etc and also gave us some great hints on local eating places and even which supermarkets had the best prices.
The only small issue with the apartment we were in, and this is not relevant to any others on the site, is that over enthusiasm some early evenings in the pool meant that it was a bit risky opening the windows!!!
Olympic really do not sell these apartments well in their brochures but if you are thinking about booking - do it!

These apartments are run by Olga and her daughter Stacey, both of whom are very friendly, helpful and always ready for a chat. Nothing was too much trouble and any minor repairs are carried out swiftly and efficiently giving no cause for complaint.
Our one bedroom apartment was beautifully clean and spacious. Olga and Stacey work very hard to please their guests.
There is a small pool at the apartments and a larger on across the road at Canea Mare which you can use if you have a drink there.
The Romantza taverna next door but one to Angelika is easily the best (and reasonably priced) in Agia Marina. It is family run and also has a pool/pool bar.
One plus we found was that there were very few mozzies around! I would recommend hiring the air con. as it was still 27 degrees during the night!
