After reading many comments suggesting bad reports on these apartments I was slightly dreading what it was going to be like there!
Myself and my boyfriend, both 24, went for a two week break at the end of August and had a fantastic time!
The apartments very very clean, maids came in nearly every day and tidied, sheets and towels also changed regularly. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, basic, but that’s all we wanted anyway!
We had a lovely balcony and the room was quite cool despite only having a fan above the bed. The pool area was lovely, as well as the bar! The staff were very friendly and always keen to help with any queries.
The apartments are situated about 5 to 10 min walk from the main town. There are beautiful beaches, places to eat shops etc. Plenty of places to watch the footie so my boyfriend was happy!
The catamaran excursion is well worth the money it is a great day out on beautiful catamaran with food, drink, snorkelling, swimming, Jet Ski ride, and sunbathing! Also the water park is well worth a visit. We went there, and there is also an animal experience there which is very good, we paid extra 30 Euros each and went swimming with sea lions which was a fantastic experience! The cost of everything like food, drink, shopping is very reasonable.
We both recommend a very nice little restaurant called Gippetto's which we ate at many nights! All in all it was a very enjoyable holiday, the weather is beautiful and very hot, and the nice breeze on the island is much appreciated in the hot weather.
I 100% recommend this holiday to anyone, the apartments very basic like I said however they are cheap to stay at and for the amount of time we very there they were comfortable and suited us very well. Another positive point was there were no bugs, no ants no mosquitoes nothing which was very nice as I went fully armed after been eaten a few years back in Crete!
I feel that negative reviews of this accommodation are either old and have been dealt with by making improvements and also people being too picky, as it is not 5 star accommodation you are paying for! Enjoy your holiday!

Well where do I start, it was the most un-kept shambolic place that we have ever stayed in. The room smelt as soon as we got in it, really unfriendly and noisy at night. No entertainment at all through out the week.
The hotel staff were rude and it seemed that it was all too much trouble if you were to ask them anything. The dustbins being emptied at 6am each morning.
The pool was dangerous & too small for the amount of people that stayed there, the prices for the TV rental was so overpriced.
But I will add that Corralejo is a really nice place to visit and plenty to do, great for eating out and child friendly.
Waterpark was a good day out and the market is good for bargains. We had friends on the Island staying in the Oasis Dunas and that’s the place we shall be going back to stay in. We were felt more welcome there than where we were staying.

If you’re lucky you'll miss the building work going in this place. Also if you’re on self catering the ONLY cooking facilities is a 2 ring electric hot plate that blows the electrics every time you turn it on.
If you want a really good, clean, fresh & cheap Breakfast may I suggest the Sundowner Pub just across the road.
Lastly the TV in the rooms are on coin meters, its 4euros for 24 hours but even with the TV off the meter still runs down. To avoid this pull the plug out when not watching & the meter stops, that way you only pay for what you watch.
One more thing, any trips or tours are alot cheaper if you look around than If you buy from the rep & you still get the same, if not better, quality & content.

I have just literally returned from Fiesta Corralejo. After reading some of the reviews I was very wary of going to this Hotel. I am glad I decided to make my own mind up with regards ants, noise levels, cleanliness etc.
I went here with my husband, little boy, along with my friend, her husband and their little girl. We all had a great holiday.
The apartment are not 5 star so l don't know what people expect from a 3 key rating. They were kept very clean, maid came in 5 days per week and cleaned the apartment from top to bottom, and clean towels bed sheets etc were given all the time.
As for the noise levels at the pool-side. We never heard a thing, we did receive a letter from Thomson about this so was dreading this but have to admit there was no noise what so ever.
As for the beach being nearly 20 minutes walk according to some of the reviews the beech was no more than a 10 minute walk away as were the shops and restaurants.
We all thoroughly enjoyed the holiday and would recommend it to anyone. Also we were not invested by ants seen two ants on the balcony once. However they may appear once it is high season but who knows.
So I would urge anyone dreading this holiday like I was because of some of the reviews, go, and make your own mind up. I had a fab time and I am so glad I went.

I am really disappointed about my trip to Fuerteventura and Fiesta Corralejo Garden apartments and would not recommend this to anyone.
I and my husband and our child, really wish we could have been back at home due to the lack of cleaning and hotel food.
There was no entertainment throughout the duration of the holiday!
The hotel was like Alcatraz. We were mad when our roof started leaking and they replaced us into an even worse one. Cooker not cleaned proper and I would not sit on the toilet they were very very unclean.
I will not recommend this holiday to any one! Ant infested balcony. And as for the balcony we had to share with the room next to it!
The beach was like walking on rock not like the pictures, and the more than 800 metres away more like 1010 metres. There were no local buses to take us anywhere and the local supermarket is rubbish, more like a corner shop!
I would not let my daughter swim in the hotels pool, it looked like murky sand water with leaves and bits in the bottom.
There were no beach sports or fun things to do. And the water park was shut due to construction work; the notice said work will be carried out for the following 16 months.

I would just first like to thank everyone at the hotel we stayed at, as it was the best holiday I have ever been on.
I had gone with my 3yr old son and my sister for her 18th birthday and I can honestly say it was wonderful.
The apartment was spacious full of everything you imagine you need on a self catering holiday, even down to a fruit bowl on dining room table (we used for my sons toys), they had thought of everything.
Wardrobe space was huge, beds were comfortable and we had enough room for us all to share with plenty of pillows and blankets.
Bathroom was very clean and spacious with a bath and shower in our particular room; we had so many towel changes twice that week.
We had two balconies one facing the pool and one over the football ground in far distance with could also see the mountains and waves in distance very nice to wake up to.
Only thing I can say bad about the apartment was the sand we seem to always bring back and was everywhere but we had a broom supplied to solve this problem. The pool balcony even had a washing line which was so handy.
We got up every morning sat out with breakfast enjoying the sun feeling safe, my little boy was not just going to jump or fall over it. Cooking facilities were average but we managed with no problems.
The staff were lovely, especially the Spanish entertainment girl had us all in stitches with her bingo games, karaoke totally made our evenings.
It really was fun - every person in that hotel was lovely, we chatted to everyone, everyone was permanently in a good mood - sitting playing cards by the pool late into night with families we met - even on our last day another newly arrived family joined in. So much fun.
Best place we found to take my son was a lizard zoo thing, all the main high street he loved it and was about 5euros for three to enter. We also went to a great bar called flicks was the best night of the holiday everyone is just so lovely and friendly.
We always had our dinner in the same place which was a market place of Spanish restaurant one English girl who worked there, was so welcoming we came back every night, we were even sad to say good bye.
In all I can say we totally enjoyed our holiday everyone we met. The staff. the hotel it was just amazing and funny thing is, we didn’t even have very good weather but didn’t matter we truly didn’t want come home! Thank you.

Reading the comments on this page before I went away, I was a little worried that the resort wasn’t going to fulfill my expectations. We went for 2 weeks at Corralejo garden, and I can honestly say it was the best holiday I have been on. The staff, housemaids, receptionists were great, all very pleased to see you and made us feel very welcome. The pools were kept clean, the entertainment lady was great with the kids. She came round every day to those sat by the pool and played games e.g. darts, cards, billiards.
The rooms were great. The house maids cleaned the floors everyday, and changed the towels every other day. The balcony was of a reasonable size, and was child friendly too, as there was no way that they could slip through the railings or climb over. The kitchen was a good size, and you had all the utensils that you needed. Wardrobe space was huge, bathroom was a good size.
Sun beds are free of charge, and almost all of the pool area is in sunshine. There are umbrellas that you can have up so you can have some shade.
They do have a kids zone, but the age is from 4-12 years old. I didn’t see anyone use this, but the play room and entertainment for children is brilliant.
it was good that they have a play area for children located at the far end of the resort, and all games that the entertainment women puts on, you win prizes for.
There were no sign of any mozzies anywhere.
On your return date, you have to be out of the rooms at 12.00 noon. You can pay an extras 30 euro to keep your room till you go, but they have a baggage area where you can keep your bags, and if you want, you can get a time slot to use the showers in the sauna. we found this really useful, as we left the resort at 5.10 pm, so we spent the day by the pool, had a time slot for 4.00pm, and by 4.45 we were in the baggage room with our bags, all nice and clean, waiting for the bus to take us back to the sunny uk (ha!)
I have a few down points about the resort. As we went with an 18 month old, we were allocated a room on the top floor, which was 5 flights of stairs. We had a few problems with ants (yes ...the creepy crawly things), especially round the sink and the floor, but hot water soon sorted then out.
On the ground floor there were 3 apartments that had cockroaches, but they only appeared on the balcony. As soon as they were sprayed they didn’t have any more trouble. For the T.V, you have to pay to watch it but ill give you a tip...put 4.20 euros in and you get 24hrs of telly. When you don’t watch the TVs, pull the plug out the socket. This way the timer doesn’t tick down, and you end up with that same amount of telly time as when you pulled the plug out.
Over-all my holiday was great. I really enjoyed it and would recommend it to anyone.
I would definitely go back to this resort in a few years time.

We wanted a cheap beach holiday and chose Fuerteventura as my husband had always wanted to go. We opted for a price breaker deal which meant we would be allocated one of three hotels but guaranteed to be in the resort of Corralejo. I was a little worried after looking at reviews of our possible three as they all had very mixed reviews, one being nicknamed Alcatraz! You've guessed it, that's where we ended up.
I think 'Alcatraz' is a little harsh. Although Corralejo Gardens has its good and bad points.
Good - excellent location, close to the Waikiki Beach, close to the old harbour with plenty of good restaurants and little bars, supermarkets close by, but far enough away from the main High Street so a good night’s sleep could be had. The apartment itself was spacious, could size bathroom with over bath shower, good balcony with clothes airer and all facilities you could want, toaster, kettle, corkscrew etc.
Bad - as soon as we opened the door to the apartment a fousty smell hit you which lingered on our clothes. It wasn't that clean, the towels and linen were changed twice in a week. When we did have clean towels they smelt and once used were like wet-dog smell. The beds were the most uncomfortable I've ever slept on with RUBBER SHEETS! (in case one of us wet the bed!) Staff - on reception not very friendly, chambermaids like to shout and bang doors a lot!
Overall Corralejo is a smashing place, fabulous beaches, great people and atmosphere in old harbour but the Corralejo Gardens a BIG disappointment.

We spent 2 weeks here and it was terrible. The Island is beautiful and the people are nice to. The apartments were very clean on arrival but then it went wrong. The towels were supposed to be changed every 2nd day we waited 5 days and made several complaints and nothing was done. The bed linen was supposed to be changed once a week again after many complaints they were changed 3 days before we were due to leave.
There is a line of green scum around the pool which is very off putting, the pool area was never cleaned but they would wash outside the reception and the bar area.
The maids run around all day shouting from one apartment to the other including the cleaning manager this makes a very unpleasant atmosphere. The poor girl that did the kids club tried so hard to amuse the kids but with no support from the hotel this was hard.
The hotel manager also let some young Spanish lads drink loads of beer in glass bottles next to the pool where kids are running about and they displayed a big sign stating that it was against Spanish law to drink by the pool area.
The plus point is Corralejo itself this is an amazing place to go with plenty of bars and places to eat. The best meal we had was on the main strip at a bar called Chablis this was run by British women and served the best roast with all the trimmings every Sunday with a sweet for 10 euros.
We also did a trip to Oasis Park for the day for 41 euros you got to see parrot shows, sea lion shows, reptile shows and a bird of pray show with snacks and a buffet lunch included and the best thing was the camel safari a must thing to do.
The Island was very let down by the Corralejo gardens and advise anyone to look for better accommodation.

Just got back from Fiesta Corralejo Gardens. Had heard and read a few unpleasant reviews of Corralejo Gardens and so feel it necessary to state that the place was not bad at all. The apartments were cleaned regularly. The pool was lovely and refreshing. Holiday makers staying there tended to be families and couples so there was no boozing heavy weight Brits, that’s not to say alcohol wasn’t present - it was and it was quite cheap too.
If you’re going with kids it has a club with a lovely woman looking after them. Adults can relax and eat and drink and do whatever without any bother. Security was impressive at night - we were stopped after midnight at the reception and asked to prove we were staying there. The apartments were situated in a perfect spot, not too near the busy strip but not too far either (approx 5-10 min walk). Waikiki beach was again about a 10 min walk and was lovely with a few beach bars there.
Restaurants were in abundance, most notably on the beach front near the harbour and music square. Few good bars were dotted around off the strip and in some back streets so if you fancy a nice beer with locals and few tourists I would stroll around away from the main strip. But if you’re that way inclined and predictable, and like to stick to British and Irish pubs and food there is no shortage.
So Corralejo is a great place with gorgeous beaches and dunes. I have been a few times now and loved it. The apartments were good so please ignore the negative miserable Brit attitude (I am not sure what people want for what the brochures charge anyway, even more so when you can get a cheap deal!). However, enjoy the place and the people. It’s all lovely!

I went with my 2yr old and my mum. I felt the apartments were clean tidy and had everything you need. The pools were cleaned every morning and my little boy loved the kids pool (bearing in mind he hates swimming!) You have to just cross over the road and a 5 min walk puts you on the main strip also if you carry on an extra 2mins and you’ll find a fantastic small beach that is always fairly empty where you can walk into the sea and the fish swim at your feet.
Head for the Plaza if you have kids where you can enjoy a Italian, Chinese, Indian or steak while the kids play in the very safe play area! There are also some lovely restaurants along the sea front that are all value for money.
Overall a great holiday my little one loved it and Id definitely go back!

This was my 4th visit to this hotel and I really enjoy my stay each time I visit. The accomodation is basic but comfortable. The room was cleaned regularly and the maids made the bed. The swimming pool and surrounding areas were kept spotless in my experience... I didn't have problems with ants on this trip but I have in the past but what do you expect in such a warm climate. On this particular visit I stayed for 2 weeks where previously I had only stayed for a week so I can confirm that the standards were consistently good. Staff were very friendly.
My only complaint which I would happy to discuss with Fiesta hotel management involved is the bad behaviour displayed by some of my fellow travellers at the complex. Drink is cheap in the resort and some visitors drink too much. The Night staff member in my experience was on his own and not sufficiently trained to deal with the potentially violent situations which occurred on 2 separate nights... One of which the Guardia Civil had to be called. I must emphasise that this was an exceptionally rare occurrence in my 5 weeks total stay at this hotel and is more a statement of society in England than any fault of the hotel. I would like to see a formal policy developed by the hotel to deal with disruptive and anti social behaviour by guests at the hotel. The Thomson Reps should on their welcome visit explain the sanctions which can be taken against guests who behave badly. I would like unruly guests to be seen by the hotel manager the following day and in more serious cases guests to be asked to pack and leave the hotel terminating their holiday early.
Please don't be put off staying at Fiesta Corralejo Gardens the trouble I have described is down to 2 or 3 individuals who potentially spoil it for the majority of decent folk who have lovely holidays at the hotel. I will definitely be going back to the hotel in the future.
