" Ola "

Me and my girlfriend are both 17, and this was our first hoiday together. It was so much better than expected, especially after hearing some reviews. Anyone who thinks the beach and shops are too far away are wrong. It is perfect walking distance to beach, waterpark and everything. We had a studio room with a balcony overlooking the pool, it was perfect, and very clean. The staff were friendly and helpful, as were the maids. The pool was perfect and never overcrowded, and always kept clean. The restuarant served reasonably priced nice food. Overall the holiday was far better than expected, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, we reccomend this to any family or couple. We will be back. X :)

Advice: Proper bo

Activities: Waikiki restuarant and bar, waterpark and waikiki beach. Trip to lanzarotte

Good for: Beach

" Fantastic "

stayed here in july 09 with my girlfriend and we where really pleased with the place, the staff are so friendly and helpful the rooms are a very good size and quality, i can honestly say its really good value for money.
the only thing that was a little bit of a let down was the swimming pool is a sea water pool which wasn't too much of a letdown.
the hotel is well situated with bars, restaurants and supermarkets all within a short walk, the beach is a 10 - 15 min stroll as is the main parts of town, the old town is about 25 mins away.
the water park is 5 mins down the road and on a monday and friday there is a market there from 0900 - 1300 but be careful they do try the hard sell a little but its still a good place to get any last min gifts
we liked the holiday so much we are planning to go back soon!!!!!!!!!!!!

Advice: its a fantastic haven for sun seekers, plenty of places to eat and drink

Activities: Flintstones bar, the waterpark and oasis park zoo about an hour 10 mins away

Good for: Beach

" Mr John of Manchester "

Sue and I returned to Corallejo 20/06/2009 to visit friends who had emigrated 2 years previously. We visited Fuetre last year for the first time (in September 2008) and we loved the place. The first time, we stayed at Club Las Olas which was fine(take/buy a kettle) but this time we stayed at Playa Park. It's near the Camponario...The Bell Tower Shopping Complex (very small...not really a complex!). It's a lovely, budget place with all the ammenities you would expect for the price...pay TV, fold-away kitchenette etc but for self catering it's ideal. The grounds/pool/general site are well maintained and the staff without exception were friendly. The beautiful walk along the shore is easily accessible if you turn right out of the front door, walk straight over the roundabout, down the road in front, keep looking to your left until you pass a street where you see a villa called "Cristiane" with a flamingo mural on the wall, turn left there and after a few yards there is a passage on the right to the beach, where you then again turn left and can savour a lazy walk into Corallejo along the shoreline. Many people appeared to be unaware of this shortcut so save yourselves a hike! The beach stroll will take you past many a place to stop for a beer or a snack, but we can personally recommend Wikkiki, the Point (if you requirements are a full english!!) or walk a bit further toward the habour and try Cordon Blue, wehere you can sample the prerequisite All Engish or more local offerings..Sue particularly suggests the sardines!!
If you want a night of fun, frolix and are of the younger more energetic type, may we suggest FLIX in the town centre as a prefered haunt. If,like us, you prefer the quieter, more considered evening, wend your way along the Habour wall to such places as "Castaways" with live music. There are infinate options along here for all tastes, so just go for it! I must say that our favourite place was Corallejo's oldest bar, THE BLUE ROCK. Laid back, traditional, friendly ex-pat staff who appeciate visitors from afar. Go there and ask for Chris and Eileen....not staff but Mancunian ex-pats who are living the dream....tell em John the Barber sent you !!! Ohh, lest I forget, had a fabulous dayout deep sea fishing on the Sina Maria III from the Harbour. There are a number of kiosks offering fishing excursions but this sounded the best, and boy did they deliver!! I just wish I'd had a bigger frying pan!!

Advice: You need to try it

" so friendly and clean "

we have just come back from this hotel after staying there for 11 days. the staff were really helpful and have been when we got back home too, as we left something in the hotel and they are sending it back to us straight away they are so lovely and helpful i cannot believe people have been saying that the hotel is dirty and the staff are unhelpful as this is not true. the hotel is very clean and we had no problems with the rom at all. the pictuers in the brochures and on the internet are the same in the hotel.i would recommend staying in this hotel if you are looking for a self catering hotel. i would seriously say that there is nothing wrong with this hotel and dont see what peoples problems are.

Advice: i would seriously recommend going to corralejo if your looking for a fun and relaxing place to stay

Activities: the flintstones resturant just round the corner from playa park hotel

" Great Place "

I dint usually write a review but I felt I needed to completely dismiss previous rviews which labelled this accomodation as 'dirty' - Couldn't be further from the truth, yes the accomodation may come up first in price searches but having just spent the last 10 days at the playa park I feel I bagged a bargain! Clean rooms which were then cleaned each day of our stay, a fantastic pool area which was always clean and the hotel in general was very welcoming and pleasant. Set in a quiet area but only a 15 minute walk to the main area and beach, 10 minutes from the water park, 2 minutes from the main bus stop, what more do you want?!
Overall a fantastic holiday and the playa park is highly recommended from me!
Enjoy!

Advice: Great resort, something for everyone!

" Be honest, you pay for what you get.... "

Be honest, you pay for what you get. It doesnt take a scientist to work out that if you sort by price, and this comes in at the top, you'll get budget accommodation. That said, I went in March and as a great believer in 'better the devil you know', I'm going back to the Playa Park in 4 weeks for a short trip. The rooms are spacious - yes, they're a tad dated and the bathroom is not s****y, but there was no dirt. The location is perfect; 10 mins to town and 15 to the beach past the dunes. Brilliant to stretch the legs and burn off calories. I'm a seasoned traveller (about 4 trips per year) and this was certainly not the worst I've experienced.... it can't be, I'm going back.

" Superb complex, no, this place isn't... "

Superb complex, no, this place isn't dirty it's spotless. The studio apartment we stayed in (1st floor) was really spacious with a balcony front & back. The lagoon style pool area was kept immaculate although the water was cool but was a nice relief from the heat. Food in the complex was excellent & staff were friendly & helpful. The only real faults were the lack of air-con (you get accustomed to the heat after a couple of nights) & having to hire a kettle which should be basic equipment supplied on a self catering holiday.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this complex to family & friends......

Eating out is a joy in Corralejo, you just can't go wrong. Try La Tasca on the main street for a real feast.........

" My good, what a letdown. And I am... "

My good, what a letdown. And I am extremely frustrated after reading favorable reviews on sites like this one.

First of all, it's dirty. By all standards. Three times a week someone mopped the floor and evened our the dirt, with same water as all the other rooms, and probably used last time it was mopped. The walls are dirty, blood of insects on the yellow walls (painted God knows when) Ants running around all over, mostly in the so called kitchen, where the dirt can probably feed whole colony. We had to go and buy cleaning kit the first night, before even considering using it at all.
But at least, there where no cockroaches like on the first floor.

The kitchen was terribly ill equipped, not even cheese grader, One knife, almost remotely sharp, for every cutting need. Forget about having some nice tea or coffee after long journey, there is nothing to make it with.
The master bed was extremely short, probably 1,80 cm long, so my feet's where sticking out. Not to mention it was a spring mattress, very, very uncomfortable. In the extra room there was two beds for the kids. One was almost ok, if squeaking does not bother you. The other one was broken folded bed.
The sofa in the living room was uncomfortable, old, ugly and smelly.

Secondly, everything you read about the hotel amenities is false, or grossly overstated. The TV in the room was very old, and without remote control. Secondly, you will have to pay Eur 3,5 for day's use. And the channels was the usual rubbish in entertainment, German, Spanish and Dutch. The only viewable channel was Sky One.
You have to pay for everything else, even the safe costs 10 Eur's a week, and the funny thing is, you will also have to pay 10 Eur's deposit for the safe, refundable when leaving. My question is WHY? There was no answer on location, it's just rules.
The internet "corner" was old and slow PC with modem speed., situated beside the TV in the lobby, and basically, everyone intrested could read what you read. The most expensive internet I have ever used. By the way, there is only one PC. If some kid was on the MSN, pumping in Eur's, you would have to go somewhere else for your internet needs. By the way, they advertise money exchange, one night the clerk in the lobby refused to change 5 Eur bill for my wife, for internet use. Not even simple no, he just waved his hands, no discussion needed, lady.
6 Eur's for the washing machine and the dryer. No washing powder provided or sold. And only to use during the day. Although the facilities is in remote building and would not disturb other guest during the night.
There is no air condition, despite the promises from the travel agency. The staff was willing to lease out fan for 15 Eur's a week.

There is absolutely nothing to keep the kids occupied. There is only the swimming pool, which by the way, you can't jump in to. No, I am not talking about diving, jumping with leg in first is forbidden. Since you are asking, no you can't play with ball or anything else in the pool. Forget about lying on floating bed and let the sun warm your body. It is also forbidden. The "lifeguard" Manolo or whatever, had harassed our kids to the point, they did not even want to go swimming anymore. Go and try to avoid your children to jump in while playing. It is hard enough for an hour, imagine two weeks. Big and fat lifeguard, unable to communicate to children in English, is probably not a good idea in a family resort.

You know, I could keep on and on. I haven't even talked about the unfriendly and unhelpful staff. But it is enough, even for me, but I will have to mention the most awaited day, the departure day. At 10:30 the cleaning lady arrived to clean. Despite the fact that check-out is at noon. She came about two times, obviously to rush us out. We finally gave up, trough the last things in the bags and left. And what a relief. It is certainly not her fault, probably just following orders from the Manager. She was friendly all the time.

On a positive note, the food in the restaurant was decent. But I can't imagine anyone willing to pay Eur 4,5 for one single ice-cream for the kids.

In all my traveling, this hotel has no competition in being awarded the title, the worst hotel ever. I have been in many bad, and even with worse amenities. But at the end of the day, it is the staff that makes the difference. Nice smile, and I am sorry Sir, please have a complementary drink while we sort things out.

My advice should be pretty obvious by now, stay away from this hotel.

" We have just returned from a relaxing... "

We have just returned from a relaxing week at The Play Park Club. The accommodation was straight out of the brochure and very clean and tidy. They had several offers available and as the cost of eating out is very high in Europe at present, we opted to eat several dinners inhouse and the food was good and great value for money. Corralejo is very quiet but we were there to relax after all, and that is exactly what we did. The only down side was that we were short changed in the local supermarket every time we went in. One to watch out for!
All in all great value for money and we look forward to going back at some point in the future.

" ive just returned from a fantastic... "

ive just returned from a fantastic holiday at playa park club in corralejo, ferteventura with my partner and 12yr old daughter. a brilliant holiday. thereis so much to do in ferteventura. we highly recommend the day trip to lanzorote to then go on a submarine, fantastic. we also went to oasis park which was brilliant too. both trips were booked through thomas cook. playa park club is a really great place to stay. we stayed in an appartment which looked onto the pool, had its own terrace. the pool and surrounding area was very well looked after there was someone every day cleaning the pool and surrounding areas by 7am. the pool was very clean and lovely to take a swim in! the staff at playa park were so friendly and helpful and most spoke very good english. the maids do a fantastic job as our appartment was cleaned thoroughly every day and given clean towels daily. the appartments are spotlessly clean and very well equiped with everything you need. it is about a 15 minute walk to town but we took taxis as there is a taxi rank on the other side of the road from playa park. it cost about 2euros and 20 cents,so really cheap! the shops are great and you have plenty to choose from. the restaurants in town are lovely and good value for money. we found a little restaurant in town called the english rose run by english people who are so nice and friendly, they do the best cheese and onion pasty ive ever eaten its situated in hoplaco gardens. i can highly recommend you try it, you have a beautiful view too looking onto the beach. there are a couple of shops very close to playa park club which stocked everything you need. the food at playa park is great and already miss there lovely breakfast. you help yourself to what ever you want, there is cooked breakfast, five different cereals, fresh fruit and yoghurt, toast, rolls, you can eat as much as you want. for the 3 of us it cost 15 euros which is very good value for money. ive read reviews that people say about the building site opposite, well most of the main building work is done and we didnt hear any noise what so ever coming from there at all. onsce you are inside the complex you cant even see it anyway. i would highly recommend anyone to stay at playa park it is lovely it really is second to none. we only went for a week but i recommend anyone going to go for 2 weeks as you really wont want to go home and im already planning to go to playa park again as soon as possible. this hotel is only given 2 stars but i can honestly say it should be a 4star, brilliant!!

" Just got back from a week at the... "

Just got back from a week at the Playa Park Club. Me and my boyfriend went for a week of sunshine and rest, which is what we got.
After reading reviews on here before we went, I rang up to try and request an upgrade to an apartment, as we'd booked a studio which don't have balcony's. Anyway to cut a long story short, they couldn't do it for us, but when we arrived, they said that they had no studios left so they gave us an appartment instead. The apartments were lovely, and were really spacious, and VERY clean. The cleaners did a great job.
The pool area was lovely even though the pool was quite cold, but once you got in it, it was fine. There was always someone cleaning the pool area, or the garden areas.

We went out every night for a meal. We were disapointed with the amount of restaurants there. Although the places we did eat in were VERY nice. Apart from the Indian. After our meal we ended up in the Rock Cafe every night for a cocktail - the staff were so friendly and made you feel very welcome. Band on every night and very entertaining!

The only thing wrong with our holiday was that Playa Park was a good 15min walk into the centre, which didn't seem too bad once we'd done it a few times. 2 nights we got a taxi back which was only 3euros (just check before you get in the taxi though).

Also, makesure you use the safety deposit box - on our last night the whole of the first floor apartments on our row were burgled. We didn't realise but the safety deposit boxes are free, and only used ours on the last day as we thought you had to pay!

We had a great stay in the Playa Park and would definalty reccommend it!

" We have just returned from the Playa... "

We have just returned from the Playa Park aparthotel in Corralejo and would comment as follows.

We had a studio room which overlooked the pool and was extremely well decorated/maintained.

We made our own travel arrangements with Travel Republic and cannot fault the service or the price £360 for 2 adults for a week including flights - marvellous! On our first night we ate in the dining room, because we were not full/half board we were given a limited menu, the food was OK but unlike the rest of the hotel the restaurant was what I can only describe as 'dated' more like a school dining hall!!!

We ate out every night and spent on average 25 Euros, this included a glass of wine and large beer. We highly recommend the Italian in the 'tent' and also the slow boat 5 Chinese restaurant on the corner but beware portions are huge!

The weather was slightly hit and miss, a couple of days were overcast until about lunchtime and a couple of days the wind was quite evident but there was no rain and we both have a nice colour about us even though we didn't actually sit in the sun so to speak. As we had made our own travel arrangements we got a taxi from the airport, this cost 36 Euros but was well worth it.

All in all we had a nice rest and have returned to our teenage sons and a house that is still in one piece. We would recommend these apartments - lovely.

" When we first arrived I was... "

When we first arrived I was disappointed to see a building site across the road, but once you were inside and around the pool area you couldn't see or hear it.

We booked a studio which was spacious; the only problem was that we didn't have a balcony.

The maids were in every day (except Friday - their day off) to clean the room and change towels. The pool area was very pleasant which made up for us not having a balcony, although the pool it's self was freezing!

The pool side bar was clean and modern, but the staff their not too friendly! The reception staff were very helpful and polite. The centre is a good 15 - 20 minute walk away but I didn't mind.

Overall good value for money if you are looking for cheap holiday with basic accommodation - just don't go in the school holidays, our first week was lovely and peaceful until the kids arrived!

" I rated it 8 for its pool area it was... "

I rated it 8 for its pool area it was fantastic!!! When I booked this holiday I requested a balcony because I can't go on holiday without having a balcony its like having a Sunday dinner without any gravy!!

On the night we arrived here at about 12.00 in the evening! We got allocated to our room only to find we didn't have a balcony...GUTTED! I went downstairs to reception to ask for a room with a balcony as that's what I requested but the receptionist said he was just the night porter and I would have to go back tomorrow afternoon to ask the manager. So me and my boyfriend went back to our room with no balcony over looking a pile of big dumpsters which stunk and over onto a building site.

Three days later we got moved to a 1 bedroom apartment with a balcony and pool view... it was great, very clean room with better kitchenette than the first one.

There was a lot of noise from the hotel they were in the middle of building across the road every morning we got woken up by the sound of drilling at 07.00 which was very annoying to say we were supposed to be on holiday!

The hotel is quite a walk about 20-25mins from the main strip but its a nice relaxing walk.
Overall I did enjoy my time here the pool was just amazing thats all I can say, there was always plenty of sunbeds around the pool and the poolside bar was great, great food also!
I would recommend the Playa Park Club but not the studios as they are disgusting! Take my word for it...

One more thing, DO NOT eat at the chinese round the back near Flix n the Irish bar, its a buffet that we thought was great around 7 Euros for 39 different chinese dishes and 7 scoops of ice cream all you can eat!!!

Only to find we were both woken up at 3.00in the morning with FOOD POISONING EEEEEEWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!
Thank you for reading!!
