Sue and I returned to Corallejo 20/06/2009 to visit friends who had emigrated 2 years previously. We visited Fuetre last year for the first time (in September 2008) and we loved the place. The first time, we stayed at Club Las Olas which was fine(take/buy a kettle) but this... more

Be honest, you pay for what you get. It doesnt take a scientist to work out that if you sort by price, and this comes in at the top, you'll get budget accommodation. That said, I went in March and as a great believer in 'better the devil you know', I'm going back to the... more

great place to stay
three of us went to playa park for a week and had a great time. the apartment was clean and the venue was perfect. 10mins into town and the nudist beach ; P. would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone and will be back.
Wicked
This was a wicked place to stay, was nice and pearcefull perfect for a relaxing break. Very very clean as cleaners came every day, staff were very friendly and helpfull. Food was good. Aprox 15 mins walk to bars/restaurants also to the beach or aprox 20-30 mins walk to the dunes where if your feeling brave can get your all over tan...but can also get taxi's every where if you want but we decided to walk as the food in corralejo was good so needed to burn some calories. Salt water pools were great and you always could get a sun lounger if you wanted to chill out by the pool any time of the day, but definatly recomend the beach as you get the lovley breeze that keeps you nice and cool. There is a new police station being built over the road to this hotel but until you have to walk past it you waould never no it was being built as you cant hear anything well apart from the odd whistle as you walk by..so if your looking at stopping at this hotel please dont let the thought of building work put you off. Were re-going back in november as loved this hotel and were going back to go kite surfing so cant wait.
Just what we wanted!
Returned home from the Playa Park yesterday. I went with my best friend for a chill out week after finishing university. We wanted a nice clean hotel, close enough to the town and bars and with easy access to the beach. We got all that and more! The hotel is fantastic. The staff are really friendly, the whole place is spotless and maid service is available everyday. The food was of a good standard, more than we expected for the money we paid to stay there! Sunbeds were never saved and although the hotel seemed to be full there was hardley anyone at the pool. No matter what time we went down to the pool, there were always sunbeds free. Occassional evening entertainment is available and great for a quiet night in. Cant fault the hotel at all and would recommend it to any of my family and friends. Would love to return to the Playa Park.
Dont listen to them other snobs on here!
This Hotel was a true delight to stay in. Food was lovely, staff were friendly and the atmosphere was great. The rooms were cleaned everyday even on sundays! Everywhere was easily accessible, this included the strip and the beach! We hired bicycles and this was highly enjoyable for the windy island. Dont listen to poor reviews from other people they are probably used to the Paris Hilton treatment being waited on hand and foot! I have already booked up for next year and cannot wait for my next stay at the Playa Park!!
Perfect for what we wanted
Playa park was perfect for what we were looking for. The pools are fantastic, salt water and 100% clean. The place is so well kept. There are people sweeping and cleaning all day long. The palm trees provide shade and there is ample bed space too. The staff couldn't care less to be honest but in a typical spanish way which makes it less bad. The only bad thing that happened was that a call came through to the hotel for us and instead of looking up our room number the receptionist told the caller to call back later when they find out the room number as he was too busy to look it up. That sums the staff up to be honest. but apartments perfect & clean and veranda was perfect too. Taxi's cost 3 euro to get to town centre ... and taxis come immediately
Most boring
our holiday to Fuerteventura was meant to be an adventure, as we have travelled to all other canary island, and have stayed in gran canaria for the last 21years, we were very disapointed as the island seems very barron, and not a lot of interesting places to visit. there was a lot of building work going on there. it is a long walk to reach entertainment and restaurants. and dont hold your breath for any beautiful beaches in this area you will be disapointed. the club playa park swimming pool was like ice and everyone who sat around it was waiting for someone to jump in to see the expression on there face...there was no entertainment only a t.v in the bar. oh and a pool table....we went self catering thank the lord, as we did try the food once as they advertised a bbq night, thinking the food would be grilled on a bbq outside but no it was help your self off the buffet it was a sorry night. the rooms were clean and tidy, but hard work trying to feel welcome by staff. the t.v in the rooms had skynews and cnn but loads of German channals.
Really lovely holiday
My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed the holiday. We were situated at the back of the pool area (away from the reception and bar) which was good as we were never distrurbed by noise etc. The rooms were spotless and very spacious for two. The food on site was fine but local places to eat were very good. We didn't enjoy eating along the busy road and preferred to walk down towards the harbour and eat local food rather than in an Amercia diner!!! There was plenty to do and lots of live music. Getting a car for a day or two is worthwhile as the island offers some beautiful sites. Watch out for the wind - it burns you!! The staff at the playa were fine - they were very willing to have fun about the world cup!!! Overall we had a fabulous holiday and would return.
Check where your room is!
Stayed at the Playa Park at end of October.Holiday was spoiled by the poor accomodation we were given. Do not reccomend any other rooms other than those overlooking pool area. Ours was right above the hotel entrance (130) hence heard every coach, taxi and revellers returning to the hotel at all hours. Room was overlooking a main road with a massive building site right opposite. Work started at an ungodly hour, view of course was dreadful. bathroom poor, cracked sink, shower curtain fell down first use, and guys... watch the loo's, they are not attached to the floor! The twin beds were a joke, mine was just a 'put u up' with the thinnest mattress ever, I complained and asked for us to be moved to a more suitable room. Hotel claimed there were none empty, there was no way this was true. Eventually a new bed was bought in two days later. However by then I had back and neck problems which spoiled the holiday. Need to over haul what potentially could be a nice hotel. Pool area excellent.
Dangerously cold food and staff that don't care
The apartments are about a 15minute walk from the harbour area (most people eat and drink around the harbour). This could be a nice complex with a bit of effort from the staff. The food was cold most mornings and despite some guests complaining to the restaurant staff they did nothing to rectify it. Around the pool the sunbeds have no matts . I would not advise anyone to stay at this complex as management and staff are lazy and look bored.
Playa Park, Corralejo course in cleanliness required
After only returning home yesterday from this complex I have to say its a nice place, in a nice quieter area being just on the outskirts of town. If your looking for a nice peaceful place with no roudy music this is the place. The studio which we had overlooked the pool with a small balcony on the 3rd floor. If we had wanted to cook then it wouldn't have been easy due to lack of cutelry, pots and pans. No kettle or toaster either. What I wasn't very pleased about was the fact we never had our bed changed once in the full week we were there. The floor wasn't mopped and the towels changed twice. All the maid seemed to do was wipe over your ashtray. I liked the complex but felt a better standard of hygine was definately required and filled in the questionair in the room. From what little time we spent on the complex we did find staff friendly and helpful and the grounds are kept very clean and tidy outside. It is part timeshare and seems to have 2 different standards. One for RCI members and one for package holiday makers from what we saw, you can tell the difference in the apartments even from the outside. I wouldn't go back again unless the cleanliness was higher. Lets face it, its very hot out there this time of year and sleeping in a bed with same sheets on all weeek isn't good. No wonder we got bit to hell with mossies ...........something I've never had a problem with in all the years travelling abroad.
