Los Alisios Apartments Reviews
We (wife and I) have just come back from a week in Los Alisios Corralejo, and we had a fantastic time! These apartments are spot on, with really friendly, helpful staff (Felix at the bar is a top man!). The apartments are cleaned 4 day a week, with fresh towels twice a week (we went Wednesday to Wednesday). We had a 2nd storey apartment- 1 Bedroom, nice bathroom with a decent sized kitchen/lounge. The kitchen was clean, and was fitted with a twin-ring cooker, microwave, toaster and kettle. We had no problems with ants (though I did notice loads on the ground, so maybe a ground floor apartment might be a problem??). The balcony over-looked the pool/bar area. I found the complex very relaxing as it was quite quiet. We met a number of people who had been coming for years (if you met Cor and Debbie from Holland say Hi....they are a great couple who make you feel really welcome). I used to wonder when people say that they have been back loads of times (always thought that they are a bit sad!), but after being in Los Alisios I have no issue with returning. The pool is spot on, and was cleaned every morning (plenty of sun loungers and not too busy- unlike Dunas Caleta - the sister complex, which was heaving!). Drink prices are OK...I can't comment on the food as we ate out all of the time (for an excellent restaurant visit Avenidas in the old town of Correlejo- fantastic food, great prices and the best, most friendly service anywhere in Correlejo). I liked Correlejo more than any other Canarian resort that i have been too (especially in this price bracket). The beaches are fantastic, the food is excellent and reasonably priced (especially if you get away from the main drag), not too many touts (stay clear of Music Square) and there were some good bargains to be had (as long as you stay well out of the electronic shops...you WILL get ripped off in those.....stick to booze, fags and perfumes!).

Been to Los Alisios five times and going again in November on a family holiday, there will be sixteen of us ages 2-58.
They are in a good position about 5-10 mins to beach and even nearer to the main street. It is a nice small complex but ideal for children as you can keep an eye on them.
The apartments are quite spacious and a nice touch is the items they put in for your arrival. These were toiletries etc water tea and coffee so you could have drink on your arrival.
There are some changes this year as both Los Alisios and sister complex Dunas Caleta are merged. Los Alisios is now Dunas Alisios and the reception at Dunas Caleta is where you go to check in, as Dunas Alisios doesn't have a reception anymore.
The pool bar at Los Alisios started closing at 6o'clock in the evening but they must have had a rethink as it is now open till 12 again, but I don't know how long that will be for (hope it is still those times in Nov.
There are some good restaurants i.e. Slowboat11 on left had side going down the main street. It is in a square along with every type of restaurants are. An Indian called Bombay set back down behind the petrol station. La Mama follow the street where the taxis park down at the bottom of main street La Mamas on left had side only small downstairs but you can go upstairs.

For a winter holiday I went to Corralejo Alisios Apartments with my mum for 1 week.
Overall we were very happy with the accommodation.
Things we liked especially/found impressive were:
The friendliness of the staff, no beasties (we stayed on the first floor - apartment 82), atmosphere at the pool (quiet and peaceful), food at the pool bar (the baguettes are fantastic) and the facilities offered by the sister hotel Dunas Caleta (breakfast there was great at a reasonable cost of 8 euros each).
The only downside for us was the weather, while we were there between 18th & 25th Nov, it was overcast most days and sometimes the sun only came out for 10 -15 mins at a time. As a goodbye present we even got some rain but obviously there's nothing anyone can do about that.
The first day we got there we went for a wander and found a lovely little place for lunch at the harbour. Can't remember the name of it but there are lots of nice places to eat in that area of the resort.
One place you MUST visit if you enjoy Indian food is the Sitar Restaurant which is just off the main drag (turn up the side street next to Mango clothes shop). The guy who owns it is from London and sold up to open this restaurant which is a little undiscovered gem.
I would recommend having a look at what's on offer away from the main road in the resort as there is more to be seen and a better quality of food instead of the old conveyer belt stuff.
After looking at the other reviews I would be concerned about touts, but to be honest (and maybe because I've been to much busier and more commercialised resorts) I didn't even notice them and wouldn't suggest that you should be concerned about this.
As ladies who love to shop even when on holiday, we worked our way around all of the shops in the resort. We picked up a few unusual souvenirs but once you've been in one you've been in them all. They're repetitive with the things they offer.
The whole resort (including these apartments) are very relaxed and slow placed which is not what I'm used to but, I had a lovely holiday there all the same. My mum is going back in Feb 2007 but not to this resort as she'd like to see other places on the island.
If you're looking for a quiet holiday with your family and/or partner, this is definitely a perfect resort and choice of apartments to go for!

We have visited Corralejo previously last year and stayed at the Corralejo Gardens. The Los Alisios Apartments are OK, not fantastic by any stretch of the imagination. Our front door of our apartment looked like it was about to fall off it's hinges and the wardrobes smelt really horrible, ok after leaving the doors open for a few days!
The pool area is crowded and a bit claustrophobic. We're not a fan of sitting round the pool - beaches are much nicer! The local beach is lovely, very clean, lovely sand and clear sea. Would highly recommend getting the bus for 1 Euro to Oliva beach which is huge and always loads of space even in the height of the day. The Alisios is really close to the main drag - fine if you like England abroad! Chinese buffet restaurants coming out of your ears - yuk!
If you prefer a classier night out with a real holiday atmosphere we would recommend the music square near the harbour. Lovely restaurants, authentic Spanish food and brilliant live entertainment every night, especially the fire people (not sure what they are really called but they’re very clever!). The harbour and old part of the town is beautiful at night, the main drag is just awful...sometimes we would walk back to the apartments via the beach as far as we could to avoid being asked time and time again if we wanted any Chinese food time and time again!
All in all a brilliant holiday - The Los Alisios are Ok, wouldn't stay there again though, Corralejo Gardens were better and closer to the nicer end of town. Nights out aren't cheap, probably about the same as home.

I’m just back from Los Alisios for the 2nd time with my family. I would like to recommend these apartments they are very friendly the service is outstanding, very clean and tidy. The sister apartment Dunas Caleta have great entertainment with Gary the manager he is fantastic with the kids discos and all other shows. The food is great, value for money too. If you are vegetarian or have specific foods you can or can’t have then just speak to the chef Scott he will accommodate you in any way he can. He helped my sister alot with her food choices.
Reception is very helpful and Carol who runs the bar is great, if you need anything just ask. I will be returning in May 2007 with my partner who is yet to visit this side of the Island I can’t wait, I have made great friends with all the staff and it makes an enjoyable stay.
9 out of 10!

The apartments were very clean, if a little basic but they had every thing you needed and were cleaned about every 3 days. It was a peaceful complex with a nice clean pool with a pool bar with Carole and Colin doing the pint pulling (Thanks for the card trick! by the way) and plenty of sun beds to go round (even though there were still who got up at the crack of dawn to get their spot... WHY?).
If you wanted you could go to the sister complex next door for the kiddies disco, nightly entertainment you but could get away from the noise if you wished.
The main strip had all the usual bars/restaurants which had all the food you could think of, steak, seafood, Mexican, Indian, Chinese, fish and chips!
However the one restaurant I would very highly recommend is the Avensios (I think) which is a place where the locals go and was great food at a great price Near the playa Bristol in the town part. The Mexican was good, so were the Chinese buffets which were very cheap about a fiver for adults and 3 quid for kids. The town beaches were clean and not too busy and the Flag beaches a small bus ride away were superb.
The water park was well worth a day out (get one of the airport reps to get you free kids tickets as this will save you a fortune and whatever you do don't hire the Tyres, they were 2.50 each and 5 Euro deposit. You can only use them on two rides which have free ones available anyway and I spent most of the day stopping kids running off with the ones we hired, I got so fed up I just handed them back in.
The Oais park zoo was the best thing we did on the holiday a nice trip down to the south of the island then a camel ride, parrot, reptile, sea lion, bird of prey shows with a really nice buffet meal half way through.
One of the nice things about the island was even though it was hot there was a very nice breeze (nothing more) to take the heat off therefore making the evenings quite pleasant.
All in all a very enjoyable holiday and ideal for families/couples who don't want to experience gangs of lads/ lasses effing and blinding, throwing up everywhere etc.
The only downside was that the Netto supermarkets were a rip off which you expect in any tourist destination.

We arrived to a clean apartment with complementary toiletries (a nice touch). Went to reception to sort out safety box and had the chance to upgrade to half board.
The staff were excellent the food was great and when my son didn't like what was on offer the staff offered him a choice from the children’s menu - fantastic!
The entertainment was not great but we spent most of the time out in Corralejo and the beaches are beautiful - we definitely intend to go back!

The apartments were basic but were very clean, not a cockroach in sight! The staff were the best, very friendly and always helpful. Maids cleaned 6 days out of 7.
No entertainment but you can go next door to its sister complex where there is. The pool is excellent and cleaned every morning. We had the best holiday; it's perfect for families, close to the beach and 10 minute walk into main town. I would recommend Los Alisios.

Me and my boyfriend went to los alisios apartments in July 4 2 weeks. We had a great time. Apartments kept clean by staff always had clean bedding and towels. All the staff where really friendly there. We ate at the pool bar a few times it was not bad! Also eat at the dunas caleto next door which was nice the reptile and parrot show are good to see there to. There are quite a few shops close by like netto where you can get your shopping. The beach there was lovely. If you’re looking for a lively holiday then you shouldn’t come here, it’s more calm and relaxed and for families. There are no big night clubs, just good bars! me and my partner are only 22 but we still had a fantastic relaxing chilled holiday we would defo go back. There are a few souvenir shops and shops to get perfume fags and booze. Oh, I would definitely recommend going on the trip to oasis park in la lajita it was by far our best day you have to do the camel ride and you can bring a dvd back for 15 euros! The water park was ok to if you have kids they would love it. Overall one of the nicest holidays I’ve had.

I thought Los Alisios was really, really nice, it met all the standards and the staff were extremely caring and friendly and any problems that occurred they fixed within an hour or so.
Yes there were cockroaches outside but to be fair how can you expect there not to be, the same with ants. The apartment was spotless of creepy crawlies, other than the odd cockroach which sneaked in when you opened the door.
The maid service was excellent, clean towels everyday and beds made and sheets changed. The pool area was good and relaxing even though the pool was a bit cold it was refreshing after sitting in the sun for hours. The pool bar was good, and the sister resort Dunas Caletas was where all the entertainment was, reptile shows etc.
Corralejo was good, except for one thing, the women who’s jobs it is to annoy you with squeaky toys and other rubbish products.
I would recommend these apartments to anyone.

Just returned from a fantastic family holiday in Corralejo. What a great resort with plenty to keep everyone amused.
The Los Alisios apartments were great, very relaxed and friendly and in beautiful landscaped surroundings. We saw a few cockroaches outside but only one inside the apartments which greeted me on the morning of my 40th birthday as i got my cards out of a drawer. The staff were all really friendly and happy to answer any questions about best places to eat, visit etc.
The resort is lovely and clean and don’t worry about the windy stories it really is just a gentle breeze and you end up being glad its there as it keeps you so much cooler especially at night!
The water park is just a nice size and it is definitely worth hiring your ring from the kiosk when you get in 2.50 euros with 5 euros deposit. It is well organised, very reasonable for food and lovely and clean. The only danger is you feel cool in the water but the sun is still really hot so you will need to keep applying loads of cream as you cant wear a t-shirt in the water. The market Fri & Mon is also really nice, haggle, haggle, haggle.
There is a great selection of food and china town Chinese do a great buffet. The restaurants in the plaza are also great. These are all on the main strip. Beautiful crepes at the corner of the Lobos Bahai opposite the trampolines. Another great night is the quiz night at talk of the town, a great laugh. If you fancy your bacon and eggs while on holiday angels down by the Waikiki beach is great, you can also hire kayaks and flippers, masks etc at the beach. The beach by the harbour is lovely too.
If you decide to go to Los Lobos take plenty to eat and drink we arrived with nothing and headed to the restaurant (hole in wall!) To be offered fish or paella. Not quite what we fancied at 13.00, we headed back with 7 cans of juice and 7 cornettos, and had a good laugh about it.
A great time was had by the whole family and this a resort we would definitely return to.

We have just returned after having 1 week in Los Alisios and will certainly be returning! Great location close to the centre and beach and we could walk everywhere. Entertainment available next door at sister complex if you fancied it, we went to a couple of shows which were very family orientated and good fun.
What can we say apartments were excellent, maid service very good, bar staff friendly and swimming pool very clean with plenty sun loungers. We had three boys with us aged 10, 7, 5 and they loved Los Alisios and the resort of Corralejo.
We ate out every night in a different restaurant and never had a bad meal, we would recommend the old town. Lots of shops selling kiddy tosh which ensured my boys loved shopping!

Went to stay in these apartments and found them very basic but also very clean and attractive the staff were fab the girls on reception Rachel and Sarah what can a say they could not do enough for us and every one their. The bar staff were fab also Carole lovely ladies Paul was a good lad also and Felix well what can a say about this lad fab with every one even had patients with my son who is autistic he made him loads of balloon swords and hats and things.
The pool was very cold but hey who cares once you were in you were in it got cleaned every day at 8.30 the bar was open from 9am till 12 pm. Went to the dunes beside the two big German hotels cost 4.5 euros in a taxi, don’t go if you are a prude as most people who go their are naked, the places to eat were good and reasonable and very nice I would definitely recommend these apartments.
Its a small but very friendly complex you never see any trouble we were they for a week and we never seen any at all, if your worried about your personal things you can hire a safety deposit box f or 12 euro a week and a five euro deposit which you get back at the end of your stay it is well worth it as they can not get in to it as they are cemented in to the wardrobe. Oh yeah I for got to say that we are going back this year same time as well but this time for 2 weeks as a week was not long enough.

My family and I stayed in these apartments in October 2005 and are returning for two weeks end of October 2007. We had a wonderful time, the complex was clean and staff were friendly. There was one break in while we were there but we were careful and hired a safe deposit box and had no problems.
Can’t wait to return, looking for some long needed sun after this year’s awful summer in the UK. Excellent apartments and resort for families.

Just come back from the Los Alisios apartments yesterday! It was my first time abroad so I enjoyed myself a lot. I went with two friends and stayed in number 87.
APARTMENTS
The apartments themselves were good enough very basic but that was all we needed. The cleaners came 5 times a week and changed the towels twice a week so the apartment was always kept tidy and clean. Sometimes they come quite early though, so you have to be ready to jump out of bed with a hangover if you have had a heavy night before!
The only thing with our apartment, was that it was on the ground floor which meant we had quite a few cockroaches! One in the draw, two in the bedroom and one in the bathroom once we blasted those and sprayed the apartment top to toe in bug spray, they still managed to give you a bit of a nasty shock in the shower! But I suppose you have to expect that in a hot country.
POOL
The pool was great absolutely freezing but still good especially when your red hot, it cools you right down. Spent quite a few hours splashing around in there, its a good size as well so lots of room for everyone.
NIGHTLIFE
There is a good choice of things to do at night lots of nice restaurants and lots of good bars. We often started the evening with a meal, good places include: Loco Roco Steakhouse, a place near the sea that is a steak house but I cant remember what it was called! We went there three times though because we liked it so much (we liked the waiters too). There are a lot of places in the plaza as well Indian, Chinese, Mexican, Italian what more can you ask for!
We went to every one. After the meal we would then go up to the Atlantico center (up some steps in the town center) where there was good bars forum was good for the music, flicks for the karaoke and Nero's for the cocktails they were the main places to be.
There is also a good little bar called the Dubliner which was good because it did Guinness! all in all the nightlife is pretty much spot on
SHOPPING
There are a lot of shops in Corralejo, a lot of them are tourist shops but still you can always find something you like. Lots of perfune and jewellery shops. There is a good tourist place called the shopping centre which is underground it is quite easy to find and sells lots of good souvenirs.
OVERALL
Overall, Corralejo is a good place to stay for any age. Families, a group of mates and couples of any age. I really enjoyed myself, two weeks was probably a bit too long to stay in Los Alisios, but all the same I would definitely recommend it.
