Had an amazing time!

We returned to Ribden Farm having had a previous enjoyable stay a few years back. We really love this place-it's only a 4 minute drive too before you are at Alton Towers. We stayed in Room 4 which has a great 4 poster bed and all the creature comforts you hope for + the additional extra touches such as chocolate mints and the like. Breakfasts were very filling and there is a wide selection. There's a Guest Lounge with X box available and parking outside is plentiful. What I enjoyed most though was the tranquil calm of the surroundings-very peaceful indeed. They made us feel like family!! Will definatly go there again!

Sep 2008, Mrs N Searle

We booked Ribden Farm due to its location to alton towers and the price is about average for the area. On arrival we booked in payed up given directions to our room then the door was closed on us. On entering our room thought the room was nice and clean with the littel on suite shower room. The decor needed updating. After about an hour of being in the room the room upstairs was occupied and you could hear everything talking, heavy footsteps but then we accepted this as it is a very old property. The owners have put up notices about the strict times of breakfast 0745 start 0815 finish so don't be late!!!! The breakfast was ok but the man serving seemed to be doing it as a chore. There was also another notice saying that check out was at 0930 (i am used to 1000/1200) and if you had not vacated by then they would charge you £10 for every 15 mins overstay what a cheek. I will not be staying here again as I felt that we were an inconvience to the owners and there are better b+b's out there.

My boyfriend booked us in for a suprise two night treat for our two year anaversary. As soon as we pulled into the carpark we noticed the beautiful veiws and the calm, country atmosphere. The owners showed grate knowledge of the area and advised us on visiting local attractions. We had a very relaxing and pleasurable stay and we felt very welcome.

Jan 2008, Mr M Hatcher

Stayed here for one night when visiting Alton Towers.
It was an absolute pleasure to stay here the owners made me feel extremely welcome and nothing was too much trouble. The room was clean and the breakfast in the morning was tasty and plentiful.
The rates were reasonable.
The views amazing.
Give this place a go if you are thinking of visiting near here. It would be an ideal place to get away from the humdrum of a city/town.
I will be returning here for definite at some point in 2008 for my yearly visit to Alton Towers!

Jan 2007, Miss T Fox

The property is grade II listed which is set amongst a beautiful backdrop of countryside.
We stayed here as it was fairly reasonably priced and it was only a short drive into Alton Towers.
The rooms we stayed in were traditionally decorated with a warm cosy home feeling, me and my partner stayed in the room that had a four poster bed the room had a TV and was ensuite.
We found the owners very friendly and the breakfast was up to standards.
In the evening when we arrived at the b&b from Alton Towers, we asked if there was any restaurants nearby, the owner said there was a pub a short drive away.
Also, if our driver wanted to drink she could telephone the owner of the pub and he could pick us up and bring us back as long as we were ordering a meal, which we did, what a brilliant service!
The pub was full of life and soul, the food was delicious and they had a good menu, kids were allowed too.
If we were ever around this neck of the woods again we would stay here again.
