this holiday was the worst ever first choice sent us here with 2 teenage children we were told that it would be ok for the children there was nothing but sand dunes, no shops, and no entertainment just italian people we were the only english people there. whats more to say dont take your children there

A very nice, newly renovated but basic appartment complex of about 50 in total. Nice pool area but far too cold to swim in. If your appartment number started 20...1 202, 203 etc they were on the sea front so nice and peaceful. 10..1, 102 etc were facing the busy main road which was very noisy at times. Complex if is a good 40 min walk by road to the town centre but during the day the roads are quite safe with a good cycle path (can hire bikes very cheaply on site). Not so safe feeling after dark as there is a large derelict hotel... more

me and my boyfriend stayed in caleta del mar in february it was really lovely and clean and the staff were really helpful, only thing i would say im 18 and my bf is 20 and its quite far away from carralejo town centre about 2.50 euros in the day but at night time the taxi fare goes up so we spent alot of money on taxis. we did walk some days that takes about 45-50 mins. if you looking for a relaxing holiday away from the hussle and bussle its perfect for you!

Don't know where Trip Advisor from Manchester stayed, but it doesn't sound anything like the apartments we encountered. We were very impressed by the apartments - our one bedroom apartment was well-equipped and spacious, and had a walled patio, needed because the winds blew very strong even for Fuerteventura. Staff were invariably helpful and friendly, and dealt with problems efficiently and quickly. Views from the complex are the best in Corralejo, and we found it a very quiet relaxing place, right on the edge of town, but none the worse... more

arrived Caleta del Mar apartments Fuerteventura 25th January 2006 for 2 weeks. chose this place after reading a number of reviews and they were first class. spotlessly clean with good views and nice quiet location. know good if you want a lot of real night life. local on site supermarket is very expensive so get taxi and visit hiper dino at other end of town will save taxi fare of 3 euros many times over. All staff very helpful and rooms cleaned everyday cannot fault hte place for the price. would definitely visit again.

I used trip advisor to help me choose our trip, I had wanted to go to fuerteventura but did not know where, so after reading reviews we settled on caleta del mar and I can honestly say that we have never had such a clean, friendly and helpful experience and the views were to die for. This place is not for anyone who wants noise and action this is a place of complete and utter relaxation and if you like walking you will be in your element..Well done caleta del mar.....

As soon as we arrived on the island we knew that something wasnt right, the winds were so strong i found it hard to walk! The apartments were full of ants and the worst possible thing was that we were in the middle of nowhere! It was an hour walk along the beach to the town which wasnt that good. The staff werent helpful and to top it off my daughter got sick in the middle of the night and there were no staff there to help me get a taxi to the hospital (I cant speak Spanish, my daughter can but she was to ill to even attempt) When we finally... more

Stayed here for 2 weeks, excellent complex. Room facilities first-class, microwave, toaster, toastie machine, 2 ring cooker, kettle, fridge, excellent. Room service every day with clean towels, teatowels etc. Very peaceful and relaxing. About 25 min walk to town either along the beach or road. Beaches and sand dunes are lovely and the sea was warm and inviting. Happy hour at the pool side bar 4-5 just right after a day on the beach. Location was great - right on the edge of the town. Walk from the pool on to the beach, just a short distance and you can have a wonderful naturist experience - clothes are optional here. Don't Knock it til you try it - sunbathing and swimming with your partner as nature intended in warm sunshine! We will definately return. The town is not far to walk about half an hour - suggest a taxi back it will cost no more than 3 euros. Not keen on the piped music by the pool - but use the beach! Staff are all very freindly and helpful.

Absolutely brilliant in every way!! The rooms, complex and pool was extremely clean. The location of the hotel was brilliant for us not too near the town centre (the town centre was about a 20min walk away or 2 mins in a taxi costing approx 3Euros) and very near the beach. I would definitely return.

i did love caleta del mar clean rooms nice area and good staff, tony the bar man was very help for places to see and eat and was very funny thats what kept us in the bar at night, i would go back again only if the bar man was still there, ( very good looking).
