Stoupa is a fantastic resort well suited for families. No noisy disco's or bars. Several tavernas all serving very good food. Don't go to Melissa's although local music was ok food was lousy. The best one is the one at the end of promenade by fishing boats (can't remember the name). Don't go to main beach as quite crowded the smaller sandy beach is best by far. One good tip if you eat/drink at the bars/tavernas during the day you should get sun beds/brolly free.
Water taps are plentiful around resort and the water is safe to drink. Our villa was everything and more we could expect. Cleaned every other day, fresh linen, well equipped kitchen, excellent accommodation. All staff were exceptionally friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We even had local biscuits left for us. The grounds are very well kept, lots of balconies, nice patio with BBQ. Kosmar are correct in stating that it is a good 15/20 minute walk from beach.
It is worth the walk just for the views and peaceful atmosphere. Hire a car is a good option, cheaper to look around resort than with holiday company. Not much to buy apart from olive oil and a few ceramic shops. Overall it was an excellent holiday.
