Our stay here was the worst ever. The outside pool was closed for 12 out of 14 days & the indoor pool was closed for 10 out of 14 days. The staff where not helpful & were more interested in their mobile phones or talking to each other. Location is ok if you like a walk... more

no bellcony,not enought seating in bar area,rooms stink of smoke, 25 minuete ques at the bar 4 drinks,spanish get prefrence on every thing,long steady climb to hotel,feel like ive just spent a week in hell dont go if you need a rest.

On arrival at the hotel - 10am in the morning and from checking in at the hotel at 6pm at night! The hen party of 28 were a little distressed! What made this worse were the copious other parties that kept arriving and were in the same situation - all we were advised were that the rooms would be ready in an hour - every hour! Eventually entered our room at 6.15pm to find it had not been cleaned, 2 out of 6 of the rooms were unavailable - another half an hour wait. Just recently i went to benidorm as part of a 22-man Stag Party and it was my very first time there, I was pleased i opted to go as we all had a great time, We were of mixed ages and found that there was entertainment to suit us all. We stayed at the Magic Rock Siutes which was linked to about 6/7 other hotels which we could visit on our all/inc. The whole resort was better and cleaner than i had ever imagined and so will deffinately be going back for a holiday or short break with the wife and would opt for the same hotel too.. more

the apartments not bad but beware there is 100 euro deposit on rooms. the outside pool had no water in it. the staff came over abit ignorent except a couple of them. the maid changed the towels once a week but never changed bedding. it wasn't to bad for us had we used the hotel pool where rest of family were stopping.i would check before taking the family.other than that we had a great time in benidorm. i know you can't please everyone! but this is why they have reviews so they can improve! reasonable price rooms. cheers more

This hotel was the best. the rooms were clean and spacious, 8 of us stayed in 2 rooms and there was plenty of space! the pool was quiet and plenty big enough for us. we also had the use of the pool at the other magic rock hotel which was down the road and this was bigger. the hotel was not at the top of a steep hill, it was just a slight incline which wasnt a problem at all, even when walking home at 5 o'clock in the morning!! the restaurants nearby were top class, the PLAZA especially which was just a 2 minute walk away. you could... more

I've just returned from a weeks holiday in Benidorm where i stayed at the Magic Tropicana Suites in a 1 bedroom apartment with 2 friends and i can assure you there is absolutely nothing " Magic " about this place !! As soon as we were in our room we discovered that the TV was broken, numerous lights were broken and the shower bracket hanging off in bits !! To be fair though these things were sorted out once we could locate any staff to tell which is not as easy as you would think !! The room was clean enough but to say it was basic is... more

The hotel staff were helpfull and friendley,the rooms were spacious and clean, when we arrived the pool was empty and out of action but was cleaned and full after the the first day. Well..........Just returned from this HELL HOLE, there was 17 of us on a hen party only for 3ngts! When we arrived we found an empty pool full of leaves an crap - no water! Reception staff - rude and arrogant Bar staff - didnt want to serve us, would just walk away from you when you go to the bar to get a drink! got told when we got there we couldnt use the water from 11pm to 5am - which was fine, but then the next morning the water had been turned completely off so we couldnt have showers or anything - water stayed off... more

i have just returned also from these apartments. I agree totally with the last post i stayed with my husband a 14 year old and a five year old for two weeks, the rooms are really really small with no balcony. the staff are very ignorant towards the english, but helpfull and polite to the spanish residents. the pool only has a cuople of hours of sun a day, so we spent most days on the beach. The hill is not to ad if you like waking it would be a problem if your elderley or unfit. benidorm itself is fantastic, but i would definatly not rturn... more

Have just returned from a weeks stay at the Magic Rock Suites/Tropicana Suites. Bedrooms ARE very small ....... there is no activities there for children whatsover, a pool table and a climbing frame with slide but apart from that there is not much else. Food is absolutely disgusting not ONCE did i eat something and think wow im going to have some more. We prefered to eat at all of the other MAGIC hotels which had excellent food and a whole lot more choice than the magic rock suites, we walked up the the magic gardens every day to eat... more

Have just returned from Spain and had the misfortune to spend 3 nights and 2 days here with our teenage daughters. The promised 2 bedrooms were actually a small room the size of a prison cell and a living area to allegedly sleep up to 6!! The "kitchen" was in the passageway between the bedroom and lounge area and consisted of 2 rings, fridge, microwave, sink and stale kettle!
