Well where do we start , We are a six person group 3 adults and 3 small children 9,7,4. After reading mixed reviews we decided to book up. We got to benidorm no apparent problems until we pulled into a shanty town, no kidding this is like something out of the third world, the area is the roughest part of benidorm and very very run down and has a constant heavy stream of traffic. the hotel itself is located in a residential area so gangs are a real problem. I am not the type of person to be wary of areas but this area made me think twice about going out after dark. Then the problems really started on day 3. The problems with the surrounding residents were apparent from the outset, The spanish in this area really do detest the english and to be honest they dont mind shouting abuse or acting in a very aggressive way towards every and all english they ancounter. The hotel is very very basic the rooms are below standard with old dogged furnishings outdated to say the least, tatty doesnt even do the hotel justice. The play (lol) area is run down and in need of a serious influx of cash to even bring it upto a reasonable standard. The complete spanish staff are aggressive with the attitude of victor meldrew. The food is very spanish in nature & dripping in grease everything apart from the fruit is fried, the hotel really is super basic, not adiquate air con, small midget sized baths and shabby decor. This hotel stands abandoned during out of season dates so beware your room will have some unwanted guests in the form of bed bugs which seem to enjoy a good old munch whilst you are encarserated in your tiny room with spanish hooligans roaming outside shouting abuse at all and sundry. So all in all a very miserable start to the holidy until I demanded a hotel change which was performed only moving us to the casa de finistrats Monika hotel which was much better. Our only advice is STAY AWAY & dont bother with this hotel at all its location & delapitated decor & rude staff will put you off going to benidorm as it has done to us. This is the 15th & last time we will venture to benidorm as it has rapidly decreased in quality whilst increasing 4 fold in price. we paid 2600.00 for an all inclusive holiday for 1 week which I would of rather kept and saved up for orlando whic is superb in every aspect. So save your money as Us brits or for that sake any non spanish our money is not appreciated so a week was 6 days too much for our well travelled group. Thanks for reading

Hotel in bad location, hill up is a killer, not recommended for mobility problems, i dont have mobility problems and was still a killer.
More friendly towards spanish. all inclusive cards are a waste of time, all the spanish are given gold all inclusive cards, we british ahve to pay extra but not worth the hassle.
Most of the staff are ignorant and cannot be bothered. food is ok something for everyone.
Entertainment was kareoke which was ok, the best entertaiment room was used by the spanish and they got the better entertainment.
Pool not big enough for amount of people and not enough sunbeds to go round.
Towels on sunbed by half 9 as pool only opens then, if your not down you do not get one.
Would not go back to hotel and would not recommend to friends

I stayed at the hotel magic rock gardens and to be honest there wasn't much wrong with the hotel. None of the standard rooms have a balcony and they are quite small, the rooms and hotel is very clean. There is a free class of champagne on arrival. The food was very nice, during the dinner service there is a live violinist and the entertainers stand outside giving cocktails to adults. There is a big variety of food even if you miss a meal there is a range of hot and cold snacks between 11am till midnight, if your are all inclusive. As we were all inclusive we used the free hotel bus that runs between the hotels in the chain and during the week we visited all the magic hotels in the area, personally I think Excalibur and Monika holidays were the best. A certain thing we like at the magic rock gardens was the manager gets involved with the guests and he takes time to sort out problems, we only had one. All the staff at the hotel are very helpful and polite, look out for Juan the barman and Alex the receptionist they are very nice people. the hotel is a bit of a maze as not all the lifts go to all of the floors. At the beginning of one of the days we stayed the entertainment that day was a clown show so the entertainers were in reception giving out candy floss to the children. Over all the hotel was fine and would stay there again.

Stayed at the magic rock gardens with my girlfriend I am 23 andshe is 18. Realy enjoyed our 1 weeks stay at the hotel. All inclusive card allows you to drink and eat at any of the magic hotels - Monika (really good pool), Excalibur (out of town, but serve top brand drinks), Villa Benidorm (located close to night clubs), Fenicia (located in central benidorm town), Tropicana Suites and Cristal Park (also in town centre, good solarium and pool / bar on the roof). Food OK. Serve English style buffet breakfast / cereal / continental. Lunch and dinner good selction and unlimited soft drinks wine or sangria or beer on tap, help yourself. Buffet style. Microwave to heat food. Bread and wide selection of desserts English and Spanish. Rooms are well cleaned and towels changed daily. Tv, fridge and tea coffee facilities. Remote for TV (not needed) and air-con / heater 15 euros, safety deposit box 15 euros. Can upgrade to gold all inclusivecard for 100 euros which includes top brand drinks plus free entry to mundomar, terra mitica, aqualandia and terra natura.
Internet 20 mins for 1 euro, massage chair 2 euro, luggage weigher 1 euro. Fruit machines.
Slight smell of sewerage at reception. Situated atthetop of ´cardiac hill´but not really that bad.
Good entertainment at night 20.30 till midnight. All inclusive 09.00 till midnight (not 24hr) Freeshuttleservice makes it easy to get aroundtown and see the sights.
Rooms are safe and secure but no balconies.
Hotel is quite big and in prehistoric style decor - 3 bars, safari club, good for children, families, youngsters etc. 2 Pools, jacuzzi, play area for kids. Games throughout the day - pistol shooting, archery, airrifle, ping pong, shuffle board, darts, killer pool. Range of activities in safari club - magic acts, dancers, singers, games, cocktail games etc. Animal shows. sun loungers on solarium.
50 metres away from beech, and pubs and bars. Mcdonalds and subway round the corner. Close to nightclubs on square open till early hours ofthe morning but always free shots and happy hour deals. Good weater.
Staff are really friendly and helpful.
Wide range of drinks - local lager (estrella), vodka, gin, martini, whisky, baileys, malibu, and mixers, milkshakes, coffee, soft drinks, water, wines, slush puppies, sangria, local brands but still alright.
Smoking area at one bar, smoking rooms from floors eight and above but good lift access. 2 lifts with panoramic vies oflocal area.
Watch in beachcomber nightclub - lots of pickpockets my girlfriend had purse stolen with 140 euro, 15 pounds and driving license. Policia are not very helpful.
Terra Natura 23 euros, Mundomar 21 euro, excursion to island 12.50 euros. Laundry machines 4 euros. Gym.
Really good Indian restaurant in town leaflet in hotel, all you can eat buffet for 10 euro.
All in all a really good holiday. Would recommend to anyone, and would definately come back.

Our stay here was the worst ever. The outside pool was closed for 12 out of 14 days & the indoor pool was closed for 10 out of 14 days. The staff where not helpful & were more interested in their mobile phones or talking to each other. Location is ok if you like a walk down hill, going out, ur up hill coming back. Would I stay here again NO, would I recommend this hotel NO.

I stay at magic rock gardens in may 2009. I arrived at 3 pm they show us to our room straight away and give us a information book about the all inclusive for the food and bars open at 7 AM to 12 PM.breakfirst start at 7 AM to 10 AM there are loads to choose from for example bacon, sausage, egg, toast, beeans, hot dog sausage, all different types of bread, chips ,cheese, and also have self service drink machine what has all different drinks for example orange, pineapple, beer, sangria and fizzy drinks. Then snacks at pool bar is open from 10AM to 6PM the types food are in the morning have late breakfast then they put out, chips, hot dogs, chicken nuggets. At tea time there was loads of nice food such as curry, fish, beef, pork, chicken and a kids selection. The entertainment was more for children but it's really close to the towm centre and other hotels that you can use so you don't have to watch it. The AI alcohol was good plenty of choice including cocktales spirits wine and beer. all in all an amazing holiday but beware of cardiac hill not recommended for elderly people or if you have to push a buggy.

just had a boys holiday(i use boys term loosly as we are all in our 40s) at magic rock as a hotel, it was a fantastic holiday, very pleasant reception staff, good entertainment staff even if on the fruit loop side of things, very clean rooms, food was fantastic plenty of choice and well presented, drinks were good even the lager had a head on it, just a pit about the ignorant arrogant rude and sexist bar staff unbelievable unless you had a pair of boobs you were totally ignored, when you did eventually get served your drink was almost thrown at you so too the chairs when they were being re-arranged even if you had'nt finished useing them. we went all inclusive but drank less in the hotel than in the very nice little pub we found just up the road called the clansman, the main reason for this was we did'nt want to lower ourselves to the bar staffs level of rudeness, and to top it all of on the last night they even had the cheek to rattle a tip pot in our faces ,which i might add we all contributed to on the first day of our holiday, in all a good holiday, a good hotel and i would reccommend it to families and WOMEN but for a mans break find somewhere else to drink.

This hotel is absolutli brilliant for value for money. being all inclusive there are snacks and drink on all the time however after 12 at night just fruit until breakfast which is the onli set back i can name for this hotel. it is onli a 10min walk from the square which is the main strip for nightlife, and a 5 min for the beach. the staff are sound are the maids do a gd job. i was sceptical at first reading reviews about occassional robberies and such but experienced none of the kind whilst i was there. my onli advice is to get a safe, but that is just a standard in evri hotel you go to. overall i would definetly go back as i think they paid me to go to there hotel with how much moneys worth i got off them! lol.
